I've had this laptop for a few days now and love it. I purchased it after seeing that it was on sale. I had previously looked at Apple and Microsoft but decided on this one after comparing the specs. Regarding gaming on it, so far I've played both Overwatch and WoW on it and the laptop runs smoothly. It does produce some heat though. In addition to gaming, I've used it for school as I'm a graduate student and the keyboard feels great.

For only $1200, you get a processor and GPU that are more than capable of running most games at medium-high graphics. I myself play primarily FPS games, and the 120hz monitor helps out a lot with those as well. Overall, excellent purchase for my future school and gaming endeavors.

I got this laptop as a graduation gift this summer, and in my use so far, it has been he perfect laptop. The SSD runs a lot faster than other regular hard-drive computers- an instant improvement from my previous ones, the processor gives no problems, and it's performance while playing RAM-heavy games is great with the 16GB. It's a great computer, and its price makes it that much better value-wise.

I was skeptical at first when I first started using it because it didn't have all the features I wanted but I'll live and it's still a good machine for what I got it for.

Bought this laptop a week ago, plays amazing and feels amazing.

Haven't had it long, but so far I'm really loving this laptop. My sister has the older version of this and really enjoys hers, runs all the games she needs. Being as this is the new upgraded version I can only imagine it'll be even better. The Look is nice, it runs fantastic, love the keyboard. And for the price, you really can't go wrong with this guy

just bought the computer today. I haven't done much on it yet. updated the drivers downloaded some programs and watched some Netflix.

Great laptop for the price and as a gaming laptop even better

So far so good. Set up was quick and easy. Haven't tested it out too much yet but seems like it'll do the job just fine!

Coil whine was present on this laptop and very annoying. It changed in frequency as i tried different keyboard back-lit options. I took my first purchase back and got a replacement. The replacement had the same issue as well. Overall it is a well built laptop but the high frequency coil whine was a deal breaker for me.

Not Best Buy's Fault but more AMD pc stutters like crazy because of its software updates forcing u to roll back if u dont want it to stutter even at idle. this is a late review but its from expierence after the first few days

I was very impressed with this laptop. It performed well and played all of my games. I had an older Asus laptop that died on me so I thought that this laptop would be a good purchase. It was slim, powerful, and was great to take around with me. However, this only lasted 3 months as it started randomly shutting off and would get really hot. It stopped running games that it would normally run. Until one day the computer completely shut off, it wouldn't charge or turn on. It completely bricked. I sent it in to get repaired and they fixed the power problem. Only now it has no battery, the computer only works when plugged in. Plus the performance is still the same. Very disappointed in my purchase, and this laptop.

This computer is laughable. The specs on paper look great; slim, light weight, and great fast paced gaming! Wrong, just wrong. Unless I'm browsing the internet, the heat will sky rocket to 85-100 C which is very dangerous for a laptop. Multiple times I'll be working or playing a game, and out of nowhere the computer crashes. Let me remind you these are modern games and programs such as FL Studio or GTA, which are heavy programs, but with the hardware this computer features, they should be handled with ease. Unless I have a house fan blowing on the laptop while gaming, there's no point in using it for the purpose it was made for. SAVE YOU'RE MONEY AND BUY A RAZER OR ALIENWARE LAPTOP FOR A COUPLE HUNDRED MORE!!!

A bit of backstory - I have had this device for a couple months now and I have thought of it to be wonderful for at least 3 or 4 of them. When I first bought the laptop I was very excited and was happy that I could finally play games at a good fps and not my 15-30 that I had before. This was all true for a bit, until the cpu started throttling and any game that I would play for more than 30-40 minutes would start to have major fps drops and it was worse than my old crappy 2013 laptop. I'm so sad to rate this a bad review, because I truly believe that this laptop had a lot of potential, but it never lived up to any of my expectations.

On paper, this laptop looks fantastic. Good specs, low weight, and half the price of a lot of the competition. However, the performance in actual gaming is very poor. I was playing Final Fantasy XIV on Medium settings - something benchmark tests showed this laptop should have handled without issue - and yet the sheer amount of stuttering and frame lag made the game unplayable, even with the fan settings turned up to Turbo. I don't know the root cause, if throttling, poor thermals, or even straight up lying about the specs is the cause, but it could not handle anything the tech specs claimed it should. Save up and buy a better laptop. You'll thank yourself later.

Ive had nothing but problems since getting this as a gift. Lack of RGB despite the employee telling my parents there was zone RGB. Lack of space for games and programs. Annoying freezes and momentary black screen when playing youtube? The worst of the problems is by far that it can't actually game. I can play older titles decently. Fallout New Vegas and Star Wars Empire at War run ok. But anything new excluding doom 2016 at low settings, runs atrociously. Im fairly certain onboard graphics would work better in most cases. I can hardly get a stable framerate in CS:GO let alone rainbow six siege on the lowest settings. Its still under warranty I believe, and definitely under geek squad protection, but returning it isn't an option at this point since Ive had it for about 5 months. I'm frustrated after spending hours upon hours trying solutions, taking it in twice to best buy, and never finding a solution. I wish I could either find a solution or just get rid of it but I couldn't find a solution and I'm not sure any of the people reviewing this product have found one either. My parents and friends have grown tired of me complaining and I'm hoping someone who sees this can help me or at least find a way to return it. I would just accept that maybe gaming laptops arent for me yet I can't use it for everyday tasks for long given the battery lasts a solid 3 hours on silent mode checking emails and doing work. I can't understand how this laptop has had great reviews yet huge problems for a select few.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I and a friend purchased these and they both failed in the same way within a matter of hours, heat death... In the line to return it, someone else was returning the exact model for the same reasons I was. 0/3. Maybe it was a bad batch, who knoes, but frankly, do you want to roll the dice with a thousand dollars and find out in a couple of months that yours is defective too?
