Looked great at first.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laptop about 3 weeks ago. Over the course of these 3 weeks, I have returned and exchanged this laptop 3 times due to the laptop blue screening after about a day. It is the same BSOD error message every time, “Thread stuck in device driver”. I am on the 3rd laptop, and just experienced another blue screen after being told I might’ve just been unlucky with the other 2. I’m not sure what the problem is but after doing some research, I found that it was most likely and outdated BIOS, a windows update, or an outdated driver. Upon turning on this 3rd laptop, I updated the bios right away (the bios was outdated 4 months with a newer released a month ago) and did a full windows update (needed like 12 things), as well as updating all of the drivers and anything else in “device manager”. After doing alll of this, I am still getting the same bsod and will be returning this laptop once and for all, and changing to a different brand with similar specs.

Terrible laptop!!!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, I bought this laptop early May 2020, I'm writing this review on October 9 2020, at first this laptop seemed to be working well, however I decided not to buy warranty, I am 15 and I bought it for my own money so extra warranty would've costed me a few weeks of work, so I decided not to buy it, this laptop performs worse than a 10 year old laptop, it is very slow, when I gave it to my friend who works at a pc repair/cleaning place he said that this laptop perfrorms well on all of the tests and is clean inside, however I still have the same problem, since I don't have a warranty and I can't return it I am stuck with this expensive crap, terrible quality, so please never buy any ROG products, either save your money or look for a different laptop

Broken Keys

Won't last long until problems start coming.

It wasn't until recently where I've been getting really bad frame drops as well as really bad audio distortion. I contacted support and they told me to just clean wipe my whole computer which I did and I still had problems. I believe it might be thermal issues but spending so much and having thermal issues after the company says that very product goes under strict testing is really sad.

Serious Lag-Deemed Defective by Geek Squad

Do not buy!!!!

If you are still having issues with the laptop after repair, please try to do the following if these were not performed yet. Please try updating the AMD chipset driver and the BIOS if these are outdated. These files are available for download at the ASUS Support website. Also, please installed featured WINDOWS Update if not current.

As long as the machine cools off immediately after the download is finished, 48C is not a temperature to worry about when performing a CPU intensive task.
