Excellent and very powerful machine. I loved the portability of it but the only complaint is the screen is a little too small, but if you’re willing to sacrifice portability over display size then go with the G16. 3k is amazing. After all updates I will recommend uninstalling all Asus app and go with G-helper. It’s a more user friendly version to run all the bells and whistles of this little power house. I also recommend a cooling pad. This thing gets really hot and on too of keyboard is where the heat concentrates but GPU and CPU runs cool. Other than that everything is running absolutely smooth and cool.

The G14 with the 5070 Ti has been awesome so far. It’s super fast for both gaming and everyday stuff, and the screen looks great with smooth refresh rates. I like how portable it is compared to other gaming laptops, and the build quality feels solid. The fans do get a bit loud when playing heavier games, but the performance makes up for it. Battery life is decent for a gaming laptop, though I usually keep it plugged in when gaming. Overall, it’s a great mix of power and portability.

10/10 laptop and an easy recommend. I Debated hard between this and other 16 inch laptops. Ultimately decided on this one given the easy of portability and weight. I’ve had it for about 2 months now and could not be happier. I took it on a few flights and take it to work daily. It’s able to run any game I’ve thrown at it. Amazing display. Im getting about 10-12 hours use with my daily work for charting and spreadsheets. Easily lasts all day.

The definition of a portable desktop system, great aesthetics, great performance. Only downside is that it sounds like a jet engine if you want to keep it cool. Would've been better if it came with 2TB instead of 1TB of storage.

I’ve had the Rog Zephyrus for almost a month now, and the experience has been amazing. If you want a macbook like form factor but still want to game, then look no further. I’ve been able to enjoy watching shows and movies on the amazing Oled display and game for hours without ever being left with the desire of a “better screen or needing more performance”. The oled display paired with the 5070 ti are a killer combo and must I remind you that the form factor is absolutely PERFECT. I have to also mention that battery life has also been amazing when not using the laptop for gaming. I recommend you buy this either when on sale or try finding it on open boxed condition if the price has made you want to look into other options, but all I can say is trust that this laptop will blow you away with its build quality, form factor and performance. 10/10 experience owning it.

Great performance in a compact 14” laptop. The 3K OLED 120Hz display looks amazing, and the Ryzen AI 9 HX with the RTX 5070 Ti runs games and heavy multitasking smoothly. It feels well built, stays reasonably cool for its size, and is very easy to carry around. A solid choice if you want power without sacrificing portability.

Very powerful portable gaming laptop. If you are looking to use it strictly for gaming I would go with the 16in version as 14 is a bit small however if you are a student and use it for school as well this is your go to. Out of the box it runs very hot and very loud. I recommend getting ghelper and setting gpu and cpu temperature limits as well as turning off cpu boost and when using it in public id set the cpu power limit down also. Gaming wise very powerful especially when you dont have power limits on. I get about 60-70 fps in arc raiders but it could go higher, only downside is that it gets very got and the fans get very loud. Cpu can get to high 90s without limits. I can usually get through a regular school day off the battery alone but I bring a charger just in case.

My review is based on using the ASUS G14 for about two weeks. I bought it to replace my Framework 13 as a travel laptop. I also have a three year old ASUS M16, which serves as my main gaming computer at home, but is too large to travel with comfortably. I am very familiar with Macs and the main alternatives I considered were the MacBook Air 15" and MacBook Pro 14". I love the ASUS G14. The OLED screen is incredibly, easily better than the MBA 15 and close to the MBP 14. The fit and finish make this feel like a very high-quality laptop (which it is), similar to the MBP 14. While the G14 has a mild gamer aesthetic, it would easily fit in a business environment (e.g., by turning off the graphic "slash" on the lid). The keyboard is excellent and I was very pleasantly surprised by the trackpad (especially after the buggy FW 13 trackpad). Battery life was important to me: while not as good as the MBA 15 or MBP 14, it is way better than any other Windows laptop I've used. The selection of ports is good, though I wish it had an SD card reader instead of micro-SD for importing photos without a dongle. The fans have run quietly, though to be fair I haven't really pushed the machine yet. The speakers are very impressive for a device this small. The laptop charges rapidly with the bespoke charger, slowly via USB-C (as expected, but useful in a pinch). How about using it? A delight. It easily handles work (email, Word/Excel/PPT) and casual use (web, video, audio). I use Lightroom for photography: the color accuracy of the display is high, photos import quickly, editing is responsive. I've had two BSODs in two weeks - once with many, many Chrome windows open, the other with unclear cause - but otherwise the G14 has been stable and zippy. I have not done much gaming yet (a bit of Goat Simulator 3), but so far, so good. I had read users recommending G-Helper instead of Armoury Crate (which I use on the M16), so I installed the former and disabled the latter. G-Helper has been an excellent tool for managing CPU/GPU, fan curves, and battery life. Its interface is much easier to navigate than Armoury Crate's. This laptop makes me smile. It looks great, functions very well, and will be great to travel with. I love being able to work, create, and game all on one device. I would also have been very happy with the MBP 14 but, for those who want to game, the G14 is the better choice. The MBA 15 has the advantage of more screen real estate, better battery life, and being cheaper, but I think the G14 is overall a better device.

Replacing my heavy brick Lenovo P53

This tiny and compact device was easily able to replace my bulky old Lenovo P53. That behemoth, weighing 7.9 lbs, was simply unbearable in my backpack. The ROG Zephyrus G14 is excellent for playing AAA titles and also well-suited for running local LLMs, considering its size and weight. The display is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and the speakers are fantastic. However, you shouldn't expect a whisper-quiet experience while gaming. But I don’t find the fan noise disruptive at all.

First thing I did when I got this home was put CachyOS on it so have no idea what the windows experience is on it but so far everything works great on Linux, All the lighting and everything works and can be adjusted as well. Haven't had any real issue with it but share the common sentiment that this thing is LOUD while playing anything. Only time will tell how it stands up over use but so far I have been enjoying it and been using it between work and play. I look at this as a luxury purchase as for the money you can get some more bang for the buck in other laptops but I really liked the size here for travelling and got tired of using a 18" that this is replacing. I also had that other machine for 5 years and that one is falling apart at the hinges. I hope the materials here last longer and through airports and hotels.

These are often sold as gaming laptops. they are NOT gaming laptops. They are mixed use/creator laptops Firstly, they come pre-installed with studio drivers, not game ready drivers. Secondly, they prioritize looking like a macbook, and being portable over performance or thermals. Positives: - excellent speakers, - excellent screen - Good performance for pro work (editing) - generally feels premium Negatives: - runs absurdly hot - throttles, despite very low gpu and cpu wattage offering - fans are legitimately the most annoying fans i have ever heard on a laptop Conclusions: If you NEED a relatively premium laptop that can offer a reasonably powerful gpu, while prioritizing portability over performance, this works. Just be aware of the heat and fain noise even in basic windows tasks

This laptop is definitely a beast when it comes to gaming. It definitely deserves the praise it's currently getting from the various YouTube influencers. When on battery and running in ECO mode, it's also very efficient. When I bought it, it was my intention to use it as a replacement for my 2023 Asus Strix Scar 16 with a 4080. Performance-wise, it was not that much different. Where it differed was in its overall weight and size. Significantly smaller and half the weight of my Scar 16, it felt like a good match. However, my new requirement was also to have something that could run off of a USB-C charger in a low-power mode when using on an international flight while plugged into a 100W power outlet. Unfortunately, testing using HWiNFO revealed that the laptop does not support PD Bypass; the USB-C charger charges the battery at the same time the laptop is being powered by the battery. This is regardless of whether Asus Battery Care is enabled or disabled as well as whether the battery is 100% charged (a trick mentioned on some Reddit forums). The end result is significant wear on the battery in this use case, potentially shortening the battery's overall life. In the end, as it didn't suit this use case, I opted to keep the Scar 16 and ended up returning the G14.

The G14 is an amazing balance of performance and portability. It handles heavy workloads and gaming smoothly, the display looks great, and the build feels solid yet lightweight. Battery life is decent for a machine this powerful. Fans get loud under load, but that’s expected. Overall, one of the best compact laptops I’ve ever used — highly recommend.

I upgraded from a Mac book air. It's about the same size. It is mighty and compact. It gets LOUD when gaming though. Also I have it connect to an external monitor with HDMI. Oled is very, very nice. Sleepk design, Keyboard is better than MacBook Air. I do not think it is per key RGB but honestly I do not care much for per key RGB. Watch a youtube video on G-helper oh and change windows power setting from sleep to hibernate lasts like 5-6 hours on battery, regular use ( web, youtube)

I’ve been using the 2025 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 in Platinum White, and it’s hands down the best mix of power and portability I’ve owned. The 3K OLED display is stunning, and the Ryzen AI 9 HX with the RTX 5070 Ti handles everything from gaming to creative work without breaking a sweat. It does get warm and the fans kick up during heavy use, but the performance and design easily make up for it.

This laptop is amazing. I cant believe you can pack this perfomance into such a small frame. Gaming on the road or anywhere you want to take a laptop has never been easier. People who complain about the noise of the fans are rediculous. You cant expect to play the games this laptop can without trying to keep itself cooled off. The 3k display is crisp, clear and fantastic. You cant ask for much more out of the display quality. The laptop itself looks amazing as well. ASUS doesn’t slack in the quality department. The lighting on the keyboard and on the outside of the laptop works and looks flawless. You can accomplish a multitude of things on this laptop. From gaming with the 5070 has helped with the heating compared to the 40 series gpus and the cpu which runs amazing as well. You can do school projects and work projects as well as editing pictures or music. This laptops performance comes second to nobe. Worth the money and the commitment.

Great gaming laptop I am a beginner gamer and well this particular laptop is a bit on the pricey side. It is perfect for everything that a gamer would need as I’ve learned with many other gaming laptops. This one does get pretty hot pretty quickly, but the fans on there work really well. I would definitely recommend this laptop. 10 out of 10 my only flaw would be. It’s probably missing one USB a port, but that’s my personal problem that I have with it but an easy workaround would be to purchase a dock separately for my overall great little laptop, convenient portable OLED great. Oh and if you can find it on sale, try to the original retail is about $2400. I ain’t got it on sale at Best Buy for 1800 and I have seen them as low as 1600 went on sale.

This machine is great for the most part. Build quality is solid with no flex. Screen is 3k OLED 120hz with excellent contrast and fast response time. Keyboard has excellent travel and wide key caps. Trackpad is glass and has smooth tracking and is very accurate. The issue is the heat and fan noise. In Performance and Turbo modes this thing will get toasty. It can handle and game you throw at it but the APU and dGPU will both reach the 90s. If you get a cooling pad this may help but I didn't so I returned it. Battery life in silent mode is average around 6 hours max...nothing exceptional.

This is one of the best laptops I've ever used. Went from a 2021 G15 to this and the OLED screen is insane, I've only seen such a pannel in a macbook pro. The battery life is also really good, easily lasts for the entire day of classes with general use. Performance is really good for a 14inch cuz of the 5070ti.

I got the g14 5070ti version, and am honestly very impressed. It runs all my games better than I thought it would, including modded Minecraft at 1440p 144fps. Oled screen is slick, and the laptop is nice and light. Only reason it’s not getting 5 stars is because it has been a little buggy with starting up and shutting down, I get the occasional freeze. But nothing power reboot can’t fix. I don’t use it without it being plugged in so I can’t speak to battery life, but I’m sure running it in eco mode using ghelper would make it last a long time.
