Not good for high end editing

It updated it's bios 3 times in the middle of an edit. it also restarted multiple times in the middle of an edit. I used capcut which it was preinstalled. But I use Canon RAW and this computer can't seems to handle it.

Beware of "lemons"

It has a nice, sleek look, good internals, and sized nicely for use as a gaming laptop and a work or school laptop. My issue is that I was given a broken laptop; I am now waiting months for the MFG to make the fix.

Lemon, Bad BB Support Policy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased august 2025, seemed like a great machine, but after full setup for my work, (and after the very short return window) it started restarting at random and quite often(3-4 time in a day) could not return it so it was sent out for manufacturer repair. month later got it back with a new motherboard and screen it worked for a week or so and seemed great. then it started shutting down at random. it is now in for its 2nd repair having done no work for me in 5 months. I demanded a refund to no avail. bestbuy states it has to be repaired 4 time before it is deemed a lemon and refund issued! While this is a machine issue i mostly take issue with bestbuy not having common sense policy allowances for a situation like this. clearly unacceptable to buy a machine and still not be able to use it or get a refund to buy another machine after 6 months. Support after the sale is why i went to best buy, and it seems there is no need to do that in the future

Disappointed

Traded in my Surface Laptop Studio for this since Microsoft is currently no longer making Surface devices with GPUs. After reading all the reviews and watching YouTube videos, it seemed like this was the one to go with. Unfortunately, it’s been a disappointing experience. The quality is not anywhere near a Surface device. This Zephyrus looks premium, but looks are deceiving. It actually feels very cheap. There are noticeable bends and gaps on the body- possibly from the screws screwed in to tight during assembly, and possibly from cheap materials. The trackpad is loose and rattles when slightly touching it. It’s very annoying. Apparently this is a know Asus issue that I didn’t catch during my research. Out of the box, it took quite a while to set up. It took a couple of hours to install all the Windows updates that you have to before you can even use the computer. Found out the issue was the WiFi card. It would not hold a stable connection. Luckily Asus had a driver update for it, and that helped a lot, but unfortunately the wifi card is still experiencing connection issues that none of my other devices experience. So if you get one, make sure you set it up directly next to your WiFi node or router. For the most part it runs ok, but randomly it will occasionally freeze up for a few seconds. The screen and the sound have been really nice. But other than that, it hasn’t been worth the price.

Had issues simply trying to reset the computer. It would constantly have an error during the initial process. Maybe I received a dub but I wouldn't recommend for the amount of issues I faced from day 1.

Very disappoint upgrade after loving the original

I wasn't going to write a review, but recently it has been shutting down at random times and not wanting to turn back on. The most recent instance that triggered this review occurred during an exam where I was unable to turn the computer on for ten minutes. Other small issues include a camera login that is far inferior to the fingerprint login of the first generation. The USB-C is not showing monitors when plugged in. It did work once when also plugged into HDMI, so it thought there were three screens. Overall, this experience has been the opposite of how I felt 4-5 years ago when I got the older model. I'm glad most people are having good experiences. I see the potential of a great machine in this. But it wouldn't be in good faith to recommend this to someone except as a flashy $2,500 intermittent paperweight.

ASUS and Best Buy Issues

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not have this laptop for very long because Best Buy sold me an Open Box that had the motherboard replaced and they did not transfer the Windows 11 product key onto the new motherboard. Because of this, I could not activate Windows and I had limited use of the laptop. I called ASUS for assistance, but they could not assist me. They opened a ticket to get the product key, but I never heard from them.

If the motherboard was replaced, you need to do a factory reset. For helpful tips on how to factory restore this laptop, visit our Product Support page:  https://www.asus.com/us/support/faq/1041621/ . Since the SLC(Software License Code) is embedded in the BIOS and WINDOWS activation process is automatic. Entering the Windows product key manually is not required, authentication or activation process is automatic after the initial WINDOWS setup completed and the laptop connects to the internet

Really wanted to keep this laptop

If you get one that hard freezes just give us and try another laptop. I am on my second G14 the issues are not as worse with the 5070ti model, but 1-2 lock ups a day I have had enough. There are no event logs that capture what's going on, the laptop will freeze, fans spin up and then you need to hard shutdown. This happens from just web browsing, support is no help and even after installing windows fresh, no bloatware, the problems still exist. Batter life is less than 4 hours on eco mode

If the system freeze or system lockup continues even after resetting Windows to factory, ensure Windows, drivers, BIOS and the Armoury Crate utility software are up to date. The most current version of the Armoury Crate utility software posted at:  https://www.asus.com/supportonly/armoury%20crate/helpdesk_download/ . Additionally, ensure this laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system stability and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. Impressive hardware, several issues

I did some local LLM stuff and games. The issues are related to the stability of the device (black screen after sleeping), looping restart (Asus logo forever). The construction of this device is gorgeous, it is a shame to have some issues like this. I've replaced already my device with same issues.
