    This laptop constantly had fan and cooling issues, and then died a couple months beyond the manufacturer's warranty. Very disappointed, and will never purchase this brand again.

    Get hot fast and is very comfortable if you place on your lap. Great to use as a replacement of a desktop if you prefer laptop gaming. Battery life wise, it's best to be wired in because man the battery goes dead fast.

    Battery stinks

    10 hour battery is a flat out lie. I bought the laptop so I wouldn’t be feathered to a power cord but the battery may last only 2 hours even if you have it on battery saver and are not using any applications at all. -1% every two minutes on average. I replaced it once already and have the same problem with the new one. If you want it for the graphics and performance but plan on keeping it plugged in most of the time it’s fine, but it won’t make a flight from NY to LA.

    Charging died within 1 week of use. I had to return it. I loved the performance of this laptop. The battery life isn't great either only 5 to 6hrs. I hope next gen of this laptop fixes all the issue.

We would recommend that you try to do a battery calibration manually. To start with, please drain it completely then charge it fully without using the system. Once fully-charged, please use the system, without the AC adapter connected, and drain it completely again. Please repeat the charging process thereafter. Also, please verify if the unit is running with the most current system update and third-party battery draining applications are not running if not in used.

    A miss for Asus

    The stats on this model are incredible, so were the reviews - which is why I bought it. HOWEVER, I returned it the next day. I may have gotten a bad one off the assembly line, but the one I got was crap!! I got a BSOD during the set-up! The machine constantly throttled under loads that my 5-year-old laptop did not have a problem with. I have noticed that Best Buy had a lot of these for sale as "Open Box", one can speculate, but mine went back!! I hope they fixed or trashed it before sending it on to some other customer.

    This thing runs HOT. I tried a cooling mat and that didn't affect it much. Playing World of Warcraft on medium settings easily pushes this into the low 100s and the area around the esc button becomes too hot to touch.

      There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that you check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications.

    BSOD problems

    Only used a few times a week without heavy gaming and after 6 weeks received repeated BSODs and had to hard reset the laptop. Unfortunately it is past the return date now

    Good product, but needs a lot of work.

    Great CPU and graphic card, but battery are not as good as advertised. Drained after 4 hours of just programming. Tried multiple things, but nothing seems to work. This was the second one I got. First one had the same issue.

    I wouldn't recommend this computer. Once I bought it, it came with a faulty trackpad, so I returned and got a new one. But this second unit had many blue screen issues that made me return the laptop and get a refund.

    have barely had this gaming laptop over a year(recieved on 4/1/21), of course right after the warranty ends. my hard drive has gone out & audio is going not. no sound unless i have headphones plugged in & it cuts in & out the whole time the head phones are plugged in. i did not get the extended warranty, cuz i'm an idiot. if y'all get this gaming laptop get the extended warratny

    Ever since this laptop was announced, I was in love. I am a teenager who worked over 250 hours at my fast food job to save up for this computer. It arrived fine, the sleek design and hardware were a huge plus. However, after about 4 days of web browsing and very light gaming, the entire backlight failed. Basically I spent $1500 on a desktop with less powerful laptop hardware. I am very disappointed that such a highly esteemed laptop had a major flaw with something as major as a display. I plan on returning this item for a full refund and building a desktop. Never buying ASUS hardware again.

    Defective model

    The gpu fan needed to be replaced twice and then broke down a further 3rd time, great specs for the price but unusable since the fan kept breaking, also the only one who can fix this is asus you have to send it in to get repaired and that usually takes around 2 weeks minimum, would recommend, also it seems asus knows this product has a faulty fan since they were not suprised this model had this issue and so many others with the same laptop experience this.
