I have been extensively using this laptop for the past four days and have been extremely impressed with almost every aspect of it. I will list these aspects below with a brief description of the features and will rate them from 1/10. Construction: 10/10 The magnesium alloy construction makes this laptop feel very sturdy, eliminates keyboard flex, and keeps the laptop light enough to be carried in a bag or backpack without needing to consider it's weight. Hardware: 9/10 The Ryzen 9 4900HS is a fantastic CPU and it is kept cool by the thermal solution Asus has developed for this laptop. I haven't used any benchmarks as they have been tested extensively by other reviewers, but I have noticed exceptional speeds in all areas of my daily computing tasks. The Nvidia 2060 Max-Q is a fantastic graphics card for this machine. It isn't as powerful as a 2070 or 2080, but it is more easily cooled in this small 14" chassis and provides enough performance to reach 120fps in many popular games. Better yet, when not performing graphically intensive activities, the 2060 Max-Q is put into a power-saving mode that reduces it's power draw significantly and extends battery life to roughly 10 hours on Windows' "Best Battery Life" setting. Display: 8/10 The 120hz display is bright, color-accurate, and does indeed have a 120hz refresh rate. It deals well with glare and, important to me, it gets dark enough to be used comfortably late at night without being blinded. Trackpad: 10/10 This is also particularly important to me. I love a good trackpad and absolutely hate a bad one. This is one of the best trackpads I've used on a Windows laptop. It is perfectly smooth and easy to glide your fingers along, but provides enough texture to not be uncontrollable. The clicks are light, precise, and feel sturdy. Keyboard: 9/10 The layout is perfectly acceptable, the keys have plenty of travel, and they don't sound incredibly loud like many similar keyboards. The only issue is the uneven backlighting, but I am not bothered at all by that. Ports: 8/10 This is the only shortcoming of this laptop for me. The lack of an SD Card slot and dedicated microphone input are my only genuine problems with this laptop. Both of those problems are easily solved with a $10-$20.00 adapter, but needing to carry an adapter is a slight annoyance. So all told, this is a fantastic laptop for anyone who needs a powerful, small, well-built, and enjoyable-to-use laptop. I would recommend it to anyone and, at this price, it is currently a genuine unicorn of the laptop market.

I got it in march of 2021 and so far it is still holding up I haven't found a game it won't run yet a few of the newer games you can't run at max graphics but they still run at about mid-range

Don’t let the size discourage you, this device is ideally compact lightweight and very powerful! Top of the line hardware in a slim and stylish body, I’m impressed!

I got his for use as a mobile workstation for video editing and zoom conferencing. It handle adobe premiere and media encoder like a champ! Faster than my Ryzen 7 desktop. Also it doesn't get very loud when under heavy work load.

it's been close to 4yrs now, and my laptop is still alive and kicking, running modern games at medium might suck for some, however it has served me well. The laptop being 14" it made traveling with it very convenient.

Love it. No issues at all. Lost the charger a few times tho

I have never owned a gaming laptop before neither an ASUS Product (Mac and Lenovo users) and I can tell you guys this is probably one of the best laptops I have seen so far, with the quality, battery life, speakers, keyboard, pretty much anything. I use it for gaming mostly and whatever I throw at it, it runs smoothly. So if this is your first time owning a gaming laptop (that doesn't look gaming at all) go ahead and buy it without think it twice. You would be amaze. PS, I saw tons of reviews on YouTube before buying it, I thought it wouldn't impress me when I receive it and trust me, IT DID!.

the only things are there is no camera or num pad - otherwise is a perfect work/game balance. its a very powerful laptop and the battery life is fantastic for its power!

So just finished the unboxing. I have to admit that while I am quite excited to see its performance because from what I gather it is pretty amazing, there are a few initial disappointments: 1. The screen size does feel very small even for what it is 2. No webcam (purchased decent cam/mic for an extra $130 on top of $1450 plus aprox $120 tax)-$1700 3. No disc drive included I am remaining hopeful that it’s overall performance overshadows the initial downside. In the event that I am blown away, I will gladly update this review to 5 stars.

from the exterior, laptop is solid. interior finishes could be better, especially at the keys. Overheating might be an issue down the road. During updates, fans kicked in at full blast, this thing is loud,.. but when they aren't on full throttle, this thing is whisper quiet. screen ratio doesn't use the monitor size efficiently.. could have benefited from extra height by About an inch. keyboard spacing is realllly nice. I have big hands and this was going to be a concern for me. turns out its great.

I recieved this laptop as a gift from Best Buy and so far the experience has been phenomenal. Unboxing the laptop was exciting, with a cool packaging that neatly and effectively displayed its contents. It runs and downloads smoothly, easily accesses and creates accounts, and runs applications and games like a dream. The only thing that I noticed was the fan noise which, while not annoying, was definitely noticeable. Overall, this is a very good upper-middle tier gaming laptop that is well worth the time and money.

Initially, I was looking for a 15.6" gaming laptop to play games while I travel or while sitting in bed at night. I was wrong. 14" is the perfect gaming laptop for my needs, and this one squeezes in impressive power! I hope other manufacturers start making these. Light(for what it is). Powerful. Fantastic design for cooling. It will run just about everything you throw at it. I checked the "How Many Games Can My PC Run?" section of the "Can You RUN it" website. Of the 7000+ games on their site, this machine can run 100% at their minimum specs and 95% at recommended specs. The only place it tends to fails is with video ram. Games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla want 8GB to run at max. As this laptop has 6GB, it doesn't quite meet the specs. However, it will still run games like that like a beast. The Armoury Crate controller is really nice which allows you to change cooling and performance profiles quickly. I'll call out two negatives which aren't a big enough deal for me to lower my rating. 1) the keyboard backlights aren't helpful. The make it harder to see the keys unless you are in a completely dark room. It's actually easier to see the keys with the backlight off. 2) It gets pretty loud but you should expect that with a gaming laptop.

Super reliable for everyday task and gaming on the go

excellent computer, fast, well built. only complaint is the lack of an extra storage slot

So far so good. Tech has come a long way since the old Stealth Bomber Asus "laptop" I had over a decade ago. Thing weighed the equivalent of a small toddler. This beauty packs a punch for it's compact size. Purchased for some mid-tier media design, rendering, possibly gaming. Mostly mobile work. I can't help but love Asus. Looked at MS Surfaces, HP Omens, Razer Blades, MSI, Acer, etc... Asus wins again.

This machine is a screamer! Fast, compact, great gaming laptop. Would recommend to friends.
