I mean, just look at the specs. The hype is real: AMD has achieved something with the mobile 9 series that is unprecedented. Plus a 2060, all in a 14" laptop? Like, for real? ASUS' build quality is top notch, and aesthetically this thing comes across as a top-tier productivity machine. Granted, you'll tip your hand as a gaming enthusiast a bit if you go for white (which I did, obviously).

This PC is amazing. Lasts me 8+ hours while doing work, watching videos, Surfing the web (all of these while in battery saving mode). It looks great; It's lightweight; It's slim; and my god is the performance impressive. It can run "Most" games in 1080p high/ultra settings 60+ frames and that's really saying something considering the size. The keyboard and mouse pad feel both great and accurate. The speakers, while not super loud, are clear and accurate. Yes the fans get a little noisy during gaming but it's far from the worst I've heard and certainly not a deal breaker. I have experienced zero issues navigating through the operating system and it's applications, so I think it's safe to say that this one will definitely be a keeper. My ONLY complain so far is that because of the 14" inch sized screen, certain PC games don't display the UI's correctly and sometimes downscaling the resolution is the best (only) option. Unless you got super human sight and can maintain long gaming sessions looking at granulated text. But that's more of a case by case subject and at no way ASUS's fault, but it may be something people need to consider if their primary focus is gaming. Other than PC gaming, the text is legible everywhere else (and can be adjusted). I've heard nothing but good things about this laptop, and for once, it was good money spent.

The best gaming laptop I have ever bought back in 2020.

-1-2 weeks after buying review- So, I actually stumbled upon this laptop randomly when I was going to buy one, as my last one had crapped out on me. Now I've never owned a gaming laptop, so I actually was drawn in pretty quickly by the colors, and the display. I gave it some thought, bought it and took it home. Immeadiately after taking it home, I realised how much I did really enjoy this laptop. It's able to run every modern game I've thrown at it, thanks to the Ryzen processor, and the Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q. I also noticed it has a pretty good battery life, getting around 10 or so hours with youtube, and around 9 or so with web browsing(rough estimate, you will get around or more.). However..while a good gaming laptop, it is not perfect. The laptop does get pretty hot(to be expected), but mine was getting to the point where it would feel super hot to the touch. BUT..it was easily fixed by tweaking some settings in the registry, and I was having no issue with the laptop getting hot while gaming. Now I only reach around maybe 80-85 C while gaming,sometimes even less. Before I was getting like 90 on a simple game like Persona 4 Golden. Final verdict : If you're looking for a great portable gaming laptop at a reasonable price, this is the laptop for you.

Laptop is amazing so far. Battery life is great, lasts several hours. Convenient performance modes is easy and accessible with click of a button. Layout of keyboard took a bit to get used to but is great once you get the hang of it. Used it so far for video editing, gaming, and CADD softwares, all have been responsive, fast and great to use.

I am not a gamer. I got this laptop for better performance using VMs and for using Illustrator. I have yet to do any of this performance-intensive stuff. But the fan runs nonstop like a jet engine and even when the laptop has been asleep/untouched for two hours it is hot enough to fry an egg. The battery life is terrible, it will melt your furniture, the power cord is in a bizarre spot, it doesn't have a webcam, the trackpad is overly sensitive and my cursor jumps to random spots in the middle of typing...all this for the low low price of $1500? i hate this thing. the cherry on top is that NVIDIA graphics are incompatible with Ubuntu. I did manage to get it installed, but my display freezes periodically at random.

The great: Powerful CPU A strong GPU G-Sync equipped High refresh display The good: Great battery life (with limitations) Lightweight Quiet in Silent mode USB PD charging at 60w (not enough for heavy use, but can top up off a USB charger. The bad: Can't keep itself cool without regular spin ups of the fans Battery life is HORRIBLE when using GPU (Kinda to be expected, but even Chrome can drain your battery if it grabs your GPU) GPU is all but useless on battery The keyboard backlighting is *USELESS* (but unecessary due to the display shining on the silver keys) Only one slot for storaage/memory means upgrades require replacing existing parts. The Ugly: Sometimes wont shut down when you tell it to and it overheats in your bag. In general, I love this laptop, but it's annoyances can be frustrating. I recommend this laptop to anyone who understands the limitations and still wants it. ASUS has promised me a 90 day warranty extension for writing this review but has not affected WHAT I wrote about in the review.

ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401IV_GA401IV - a small powerhouse of a computer that is great for gaming and content creation. Having enough horsepower to handle graphics and having a small form factor, make this computer one an easy choice to purchase. You can read all the reviews and watch the Youtube videos that can detail out the specs and capabilities of the machine. One thing that does not get talked about is the physical design of the hardware. One big turn off for me the 'gamer laptop' look. Over the top, silly looking machines that try really hard to look 'techie'. The Zephyrus is a clean, and stylish piece of hardware. The aluminium and white give it a classy look, yet still has some minor details that let you know this is a gaming powerhouse. the subtle angles along the hinge and some of the unique shapes of the touch sensor/power button, as well as the space bar shape, give it an understated and classy feel with nods to it's gaming roots. After all, a machine that can keep up, if not surpass, a MacBook Pro, should look good when it's sitting next to it.

I picked up this awesome laptop for music production and gaming. My past experience has always been with MacBook Pros. My last MacBook was only 3 years old, but so many programs were not supported or available on Apple's continually changing operating systems, that I decided to try the ASUS-ROG Zephyrur G14 Gaming Laptop on the advice of my Best Buy sales associate due to the fact I am only familiar with Apple products. Boy, am I supper glad I made the switch! Half the price of a MacBook and 10x the performance, graphics and sound! Plus TONS of more memory and options for more! I have bought my last Apple! If you are into Music Production and gaming, this is one POWERFUL contender! I would have paid the same price as an Apple for this kind of performance... but I didn't have to! This Laptop is AWESOME!

I love this laptop from the moment I got it. It was super simple and small enough to carry around, this is especially important for when I attend collage in the fall.

A single GPU is more expensive than this laptop. If there is no need to update, I still recommend buying this laptop. First, it saves a lot of space. For me, it’s better to wait, wait until the New Year, or next year’s GPU price cuts.

while doing the research on a new laptop for school I stumbled upon the G14. As I did more research I discovered benchmark tests against other note books and laptops at the same price point. As soon as I turned it on I could see it was a cut above the rest. A Ryzen 9, 1tb Nvme SSD, RTX 2060, 16gb RAM all for 1,400 USD can't be beat. This is only my frist impression but I would recommend this to a friend.

I love this product. I have been gaming on a trashy computer for years and the switch to this laptop has been phenomenal. Thank you best buy you guys are the best. (Shout out to jun he helped me find this product in the store).

If you're looking for a mid-range gaming laptop that's a good value and also looks stunning, this is perfect. With a beastly Ryzen 9 and a solid RTX 2060 MaxQ, you can comfortably game while still having a good looking laptop.

Excellent quality product for the price. Build is surprisingly slim and light for the performance. Mainly use this as a work pc for 3d modeling and design.

If you're willing to take the risk of effectively zero after-sales hardware support, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is an incredible performance value. PROS - Blazing performance - Great keyboard (with some caveats) - Solid feel overall - Small size/weight - Surprisingly good speakers for a small laptop CONS - Poor after-sale support - Keyboard (poor backlighting, no PgUp/PgDn keys) - No super-accurate screen option for photo/video work - Cooling fan issue To say I'm thrilled with the performance of the G14 would be an understatement. It positively *rips* through 360 video transcoding and editing. I compared it to a Dell XPS 15 with i9 processor and 32gb ram: the G14 was 25-40% faster in my transcoding tests, despite having half the ram! This laptop is a high-quality screen away from being a video editor's dream. The silver color keyboard feels great. Unfortunately, the backlighting is beyond useless - I don't even bother anymore. If this configuration was available with a black or dark grey body/keyboard, the issue would be gone. Also, it would be great if the up/dn keys also had page up/dn functionality (perhaps FN up/FN dn or CTRL up/CTRL dn?) for getting through long web pages. Screen brightness could be moved to the FN</FN> keys instead. By far the biggest downside to the G14 is atrocious after-sale hardware support by Asus. The left cooling fan on my unit has been noisy (sometimes deafeningly so) since just after the return period with Best Buy. Quel surprise! If this had happened to one of the 4 Dell laptops I've had, they would have sent someone to me NEXT DAY to deal with the issue. Asus? GOOD LUCK trying to reach an actual human being (the online support portal is a pain to use). When you finally, actually do reach a human, they say to go through Geek Squad for initial support. My local Geek Squad won't open up the computer since it's under manufacturer warranty. Asus then says I can send the computer to them, but it will take 4-6+ ***WEEKS*** to resolve the issue. FYI: there is no support upgrade, no extended warranty, available to purchase from Asus. This is my ONLY computer. I rely on it to do my work. I cannot be without it for an indeterminate month+ amount of time during a pandemic. I'd take a refurb unit in exchange. Heck, I'd take a loaner while they worked on mine! If you get a good one and don't have to deal with Asus, I can't recommend this machine highly enough. That said, caveat emptor!

Remarkable laptop. Don't let the gaming title fool you. This a a fantastic mobile workstation for high-end graphic intensive applications.

Sexy and fast! I am very happy with this purchase. I literally ordered and cancelled 2 other gaming laptop orders before deciding to spend a smidgen more and I am glad that I did.

This computer is a beast. I bought it as a work computer and have been overwhelmed with the performance. I don’t know how you could get better bang for your buck.
