Ordered this box a few weeks ahead of the launch date, Best Buy killed it. They came trough on the date of shipment and the computer came with no problems. Could not ask for more, and if you are looking at this light weight gamer then you are a genius. Best typing keyboard I have been on in some time, oh and the graphics are ultra sick. The 6 hours of batter life is amazing and this computer can be charged multiple ways so check that out.

Greatest compact laptop ever. This thing is a beast. Small but not too small and it’s a powerhouse. Battery life around 8 hours if not in heavy use. Vents all around so no overheating. Insanely fast. Handles everything you want and more.

Amazing laptop. Very fast and graphics are great for gaming. Only negative and main reason to return it was due to having dead pixels on the screen and not even 2 weeks old. Runs hotter than expected with very basic games.

I'm a long time apple laptop user so it took some research to determine this was the right laptop for me. I wanted something I could use for gaming and school work. This definitely meets my needs and it's extremely fast. I was a minute away from purchasing the R3 M15 Alienware, but when I discovered most gaming laptops battery last 2-3 hours, I'm glad I didn't go through with that purchase. This has given me 10 hours of use when doing school work on a gaming laptop, which I later discovered is unheard of. I was ready to drop $3K for a top quality laptop noticed the more premium the laptop, the more battery consumption. The only downside for most people will be the webcam feature. I prefer purchasing an external anyways for privacy concerns. I highly recommend purchasing this laptop is you are considering it.

As far as power it is a monster insanely powerful can probably play or do anything you needed to with ease. As far as laptop use you might want to go a different route either get a more expensive laptop or one that's a little bit cheaper and a little bit less powerful. Having no webcam is a shock and awe. It's literally in every single laptop or cellular device except this one. The screen a semi okay 1080p resolution, and the speakers are practically non-existent. Seriously if you don't have headphones do not get this laptop you will not hear anything constantly have to put it at 100 volume and that might not even be enough. Overall the laptop is insanely powerful but is liking very key features that make a laptop what it is.

There are so many reviews and benchmarks out there, so I will omit those. The design and build are exceptional for this price point and the performance it can deliver. Some people were concerned about whether the tiny holes on A-side will catch dust in there, I had no problems like that. The silver paint on C and D sides is less sturdy as I expected tho, my vertical stand did leave a small scratch mark on it. The fan does run most of the time, but the pitch is very discreet, even for a quiet office. I use mine mostly with a desktop monitor. Both the HDMI and USB-C can output 4K HDR (4:4:4), which is kinda important for me. I wish Asus allowed 100w PD charging from the USB-C port since 100w chargers are getting more available, but being able to take 65w PD charging is already very convenient. If you are looking to buy a spare 180w genuine charger from ASUS, it is impossible at the moment. However, I found other 180/230/280w chargers with 6.0*3.7mm connector work with my unit, even the output rating is 19.5V, instead of the 20V like the original adapter. Despite the Dolby Atmos branding, I found the internal speakers less impressive than Lenovo's Yoga C930/940, but still above average. I upgraded to G14 from Samsung's Notebook 9 series, because Samsung was extremely slow on making the new Galaxy Books available in the US, and, of course, AMD's new triumph. I do find ASUS' software efforts are less considerate than Samsung's. Driver, software, and firmware updates scatter in two or three different software; lack of OEM backup and recovery options, including disk copy for SSD upgrades; annoying advertisements trying to sell me more services, are all drawbacks for me. In all, great efforts, but I would ditch this for a premium thin and light design with a 4800u with no discrete GPU since I rarely play games on a PC. Yes, Samsung, please put AMD in your Galaxy Books.

I got the thermals down to 68C on a cold morning. I cannot tell the difference between my 3700x and the mobile chip on the G14! Only downside is, I wish I could get extended warranty through ASUS and not GEEKSQUAD!

This is a phenomenal gaming machine! I run AAA titles on it frequently at near max settings with 60fps or higher. It's fairly light weight yet very capable of a top-notch gaming experience. The fans do kick in a little loud, but having a headphone jack helps tremendously. The I/O port selection is versatile enough where I have no issues connecting anything I want, minus memory cards. I wish it had a front-facing camera so I could double it as a school computer without getting an external camera, but the gaming prospect in this machine is just so profound that I can do without a camera.

I know that AMD CPU laptops doesn't come with Thunderbolt technology for faster data transfer, but this doesn't even include ethernet port (RJ45) which is a necessity for every PC. The fingerprint sensor doesn't work at least half the time. Worst thing is that you have to use PIN after 3 failed fingerprint login attempt which is very annoying. I have seen other people write about how this laptop can overheat that they can even fry eggs on it even before I order this laptop, I thought they were overexaggerated until I feel it with my own fingers when I play even average game like Counter Strike when I use keys, AWSD. I also have frequent blackout screen while browsing websites. The laptop is still power on except you will see nothing like OS is not working. I updated latest version Windows, drivers, etc... while fixing registries and clean PC manually and with Avira utilites which I never have an error. But this time, it doesn't fix this issue. Later, I saw other people having this same issue on Reddit and found the solution which is to disable AMD integrated GPU which come with CPU. Then, the problem is fixed! This is too much even for advanced user like me, so don't even talk about everyday users. I am seriously thinking of returning if I can get same comouting power laptop this cheap with $1500. I thought about using this for daily tasks. But then, no webcam and no ethernet port. But this is the craziest and fastest laptop I have ever seen on the market unless Origin laptop comes with 12 cores CPU, but that laptop battery won't last like this. This laptop has thin casing made of premium material. The laptop comes by with some preinstalled apps and most of then are useful except some like GameFirst which is very useless and stupid AI that make 3Mbps speed to your original 300Mbps for browsing websites, and other stuffs except gaming. I had to disable it. Those apps will be there even when you do full Windows reset unless if you are willing to do clean install. But then, finding the needed drivers will be an issue. I wanted the highest CPU power on the market with long lasting battery, and this laptop with Ryzen 9 4900HS is even better performance than Intel i9 latest CPU with half the price because you will see i9 laptops with at least around $2500. I trusted Asus since I have used their products including laptop. I look around for 4th generation CPU laptops with either Ryzen 7 or 9, and the only other option is to buy ASUS TUF laptops which is made of Wifi 5(not 6 which is latest). I recommend you buy TUF laptop with Ryzen 7 4800HS if you don't mind Wifi 5 hardware. I have never returned the laptop in my life, but this will be the first one.

Great laptop for both as a desktop replacement and on the go. I have mine hooked up to a type c dock, and when I want to use it as a desktop, all I do is plug in the power cable, and one type C cable. When i'm on the go I just carry the laptop since I don't really need to bring around the charger since this laptop has a battery life of around 7-10 hours. Everything on the laptop works well. Speakers, are bassy and clear, screen color reproduction is nice, all metal build quality is great, the smooth glass track pad feels nice and is really precise, overall, I couldn't ask for more.

Dont get me wrong its a nice little lap top but I do have a few complaints. 1, RAM 16GB of ram is not enough and with half that soldered to the motherboard and the other half in a slot, you cant replace 2 sticks of RAM to take advantage of the CPU dual channel feature at 32GB. So as soon as you put larger ram in you are down to single channel for the CPU. 2. The 2060 GTX is ok but wont play games like DOOM ETERNAL anywhere near full capability. So you dont get to pretty it up much from the factory settings. So its not as powerful as some make it sound for video processing. 3. It needs one more USB port. Other than that, battery life is decent, The screen is nice and clear. It performs OK.

Bought this to have something to do my school work (Graphic Design, animation, video editing) on as well as minor gaming here and there. It rips through anything I throw at it and the battery life is actually extremely good. I've gone through a decent amount of laptops that advertise 10 hours or so of life but they only ever got around 4-5 hours. This laptop last as long as it should or near there depending on how you push it. Overall, definitely a great laptop and I'm not surpised at how quick it sells out in all these stores each time it gets restocked. Worth buying 100%. 25/10

It's a great laptop for content creation and for gaming. the mid range GPU can handle most recent triple AAA titles around high graphic detail beyond 60 fps. The display is great and sharp for a 1080p panel and color accuracy is not that bad out of the box. the only negative thing I would say about the display panel is the response time. I would use an external monitor with a 1ms GTG response time for competitive gaming. Other than that, I love the design and how premium it feels and looks. The price is very reasonable for the specs this sleek looking compact laptop has. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a very portable laptop that's great for productivity apps and gaming.

I only had the laptop for a few days, I purchased Zeyphyrus G14 Model: GA401IV-BR9N6 for $1580.00 including tax. I also purchased a Lenovo Y540 Model:81SX000MUS for $1198.00 including tax. I compared the gaming performance with Red Dead Redemption 2 and COD: Warzone. Zephyrus G14(Beware on updating the drivers. I updated the BIOS without a problem). Pros - Very good graphics - Did not give me the black screen - Beautiful design including the keyboard - Easy to travel with - After returning it to its original drivers using windows update to install everything. It finally worked smoothly - Both games were running on best graphic settings. - No Camera, I don't mind having a camera. Cons - After updating using drivers directly from Manufacturer( Asus and NVIDIA.) My battery went down to 2-4 hours, taskbar froze, and screen froze on me on another time. - After cleaning the issues stated above. The battery would be at 7 hours on idle, Once I started browsing the internet without using anything else the battery went down to 3-5 hours. Gaming will go down to 2 hours, but that is understandable. - Battery was having a hard time to reach 100%, it would stay on 99% forever. - The fan doesn't really know what it wants to do, during non-gaming. - Playing Red Dead Redemption 2 was great. Call of Duty Warzone on the other hand, the center keyboard area was too hot to touch. I had to use a wireless keyboard to continue. I am pretty sure having a laptop cooling fan would ease this issue. - Keyboard light is useless, not worth turning on. The reason I returned the Zephyrus G14 is because of all the hassle just to get to the optimal battery life close to 10 hours. Just web browsing, I expect to get at least 7-9 hours. I don't think 3-5 hours of battery life should cost me $1580.Although, if I didn't already own a 2015 Mac book pro 13in that provides me 6-9 hours of productivity time I probably would have kept the G14. I ended up keeping the lenovo Y540 144 hertz which performed very well, but the graphics was slightly not as good as the G14. Lenovo Y540, I was able to play Warzone continuously on its keyboard. The specification meets my expectation with the RTX 2060, i7-9750H, 512GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 16GB Ram, Keyboard light is useful, 144 Hz, and most of the ports are placed in the back. The only complaints I have but can live with is the camera is placed on the bottom and camera is not good at all, NUMLOCK key is placed where the 0 should be, and track pad is placed more to the left I prefer the center. I really wanted AMD, i will reconsider in the future.
