This is one of my favorite laptops that I've ever used, and if we're talking about general use rather than specific use cases for more dedicated/focused machines, this IS my favorite laptop line. This 2060 Max-Q model is still an excellent model today, but do consider the price difference between it and the 3060 model with a 5900HS. If the price is low enough to justify the difference from the newest Zephyrus G14, this laptop is still plenty for just about anything, and overkill for any day-to-day things. You can't go wrong with either this or the newer Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a laptop of this size/portability, this and the new G14 are where it's at.

So far I like it. On that price, it’s very powerful and light weight. In more than 6 months using time, I had no hardware issue on it at all. It’s a well good build windows laptop.

Amazing piece of engineering! I was initially looking at machines geared more towards business users. I use my computer to Manage my digital design and marketing company. However, once I read the reviews on this ultra portable powerhouse my whole paradigm shifted and I saw the value packed into today's gaming systems. The build quality and performance are outstanding and contrary to popular belief Asus systems are designed to allow you to select and create profiles geared toward the creative " studio" user in addition to just supporting the needs of gaming purists. I am extremely happy. With this product and would definitely recommend it!

Enough reviews exist on this one already. Sure it would be closer to perfect with different keyboard lighting, better power port placement and a camera. I knew this from previous reviews so no need to rehash that as I bought this model anyway as it is easily one of the best values available. What to say then? This is great for using on ones lap or lap tray as the size and performance are excellent. Until a model with same capability, price point and size/weight comes along, this is a great buy. Mid range to mid high range gaming is no problem with this unit. Everyday performance tasks are easily handled. If one is looking for compact factor with power, this is a very good choice.

I previously owned a 17" tank of a laptop. It was incredibly heavy, not very portable, and I found myself questioning why I owned it when I also had a desktop PC. I went the opposite direction with this purchase and am incredibly happy I did. 3.5 pounds, but excellent performance packed in. I would recommend searching for the best optimization settings online (reddit or other threads). The one drawback to this is that it DOES overheat- you'll need to take measures to help that.

Great gaming Laptop! Thrown triple a games and indies games at it and still holds its ground. Some cons are it gets hot when playing and the backlight keyboard isn't the best.

This laptop is definitely as fast as it says. I'm playing everything on ultra with no slowdown whatsoever. The reason it's not 5 stars is because of how hot the bottom of it gets so you can't actually put it on your lap if you're running it hard, and there are a few bloatware items. Probably not as much as most other retailers, but I expected none on a laptop built for performance. Not big problems, so absolutely satisfied and would buy it again no question.

Really impressed! Great build quality, nice aluminum feel, 144 hz screen is really smooth. Plays all the games I want to play. Gets a bit hot, but that’s totally expected for a gaming laptop.

Bought this over a year ago and so far have not had a single complaint with this computer. This is my first gaming pc and I absolutely love it. Terms of performance, it does really well with many of the games I have played thus far. I will say with certain games it does get hot; so I do recommend getting a laptop fan or a cooling set up to keep it from overheating on certain games. (Looking at you Call of Duty!) Even though the keyboard does light up it is not able to do RGB effects. If thats the one you want you will need to buy the ROG Zephryus that does have it and it will cost more than thism

First, the great: - Cosmetics: this is a COOL looking laptop, loved the design, the feel - Build Quality: I'd say as good as Razer laptops, and that's saying a lot for me - Performance: FAST, quiet, and more than enough power for anything you might need...except... The not so great: - No webcam. I thought I could live without one...and then COVID and stay at home hit...no good. I shouldn't have to have an external one for a laptop - No thunderbolt: since it's an AMD board/processor, there's no thunderbolt support. All my docks are thunderbolt. Boo.

For a price this laptop is set at you could buy two other laptops, graphics are ok fan is super loud and to get the most out of your laptop it has to be connected which is most of the time. Very small and compact has fingerprint sensor no camera. Good thing it has hdmi so you can connect it to either tv or gaming monitor it does not support mirror screen or maube i was just doing it wrong, depending on the game but when i play total warhammer and playing at full 2 armies it lags like alot another thing is it gets really hot on top of the keyboard

The best laptop i have ever owned. back lit keyboard is pretty great. but the best part is the CPU. RYZEN is killing it. I love it as I use it for school for software development and can handle any thing I throw at it. Great responsiveness and over all take like 10 seconds to boot. I've loaded it down with software and its still just as fast. It has all the best companies inside. Intel 1 TB NVME Optane SSD, Wi-Fi 6/AX, Nvidia RTX 2060 max Q and of course the Ryzen 9 4900hs to boot. Great security features and even supports keyed entry for those who want an encrypted data for increased security. Its just Amazing and would recommend it to everyone thinking of purchasing it.

It's a great laptop. Really lightweight and can play video games with good quality on it. My only concern is the battery. Reviews claim to get 10+ hours while idle. (i.e not doing anything on the laptop) However, I only get 4-6 hours. Now I've tried everything in order to get 10 hours like changing the NVIDIA graphics option to integrated graphics or checking to see in task manager what applications is consuming so much of my power...end results? Nothing. Still get the same battery life as I did before. On the other hand, gaming in this can get really hot, no joke. It reaches 90+ celsius just playing Apex for a few minutes, the fans get somewhat loud but I don't mind that. You can fix this by going through Registry Editor and fixing the data from 1 to 2. Then, you go to edit power plan and set the battery on aggressive. It's on YouTube for whoever wants to find out. It decreases the temperature by 10-15° degrees which is good. Overall good laptop, it would've been a 5 start if it wasn't for the weird battery situation going on. One last thing, if you want the animetrix (the glowing led's lights at the back) you need to get a specific version of the laptop where it includes it.

This is a great laptop IF you are gonna put in the work that ASUS didn’t to make it run correctly. You will have to download updates remove apps fix the speakers hope for the best back light keyboard possible and hope you can manage the high temps this laptop runs. But after you put in the work it’s a great little laptop for gaming. Lots of power good not great battery life the screen isn’t great tho. Overall I like it, if they update this model next year I’m sure a lot of the problems this model has will be fixed

Ran a bit too warm but a total powerhouse performance wise. Was looking for something powerful in a small form and this filled that need.

Best 13" gaming laptop in the market right now. High end specs and GPU, superior build quality. The only downside is no webcam, but using an external usb webcam is an easy fix.

This laptop is worth every penny. Amazing for gaming it plays every game I have at either ultra or high settings at 100fps, it will go to 144 fps but my monitor only goes to 100.it also stays very cool without a cooling pad. Only 2 usb ports which hasn't been an issue everything is wireless these days,no webcam also not an issue if you dont stream. The sound is amazing picture quality also amazing and so lightweight. If you want a gaming laptop you should seriously consider this product.oh and it's also customizable so you can add to it if you feel like it but no need other then adding another tb of memory

Picked up as a lightweight laptop capable of respectable gaming and it meets both demands. My only gripes come from when you try to dock the laptop. The Thunderbolt port on this laptop does NOT support video out. On board audio is all tied together in the same channel so if you plan to use a voice communication program like discord, whoever you are talking to will hear whatever is going on the laptop (game, music, etc) If you plan to just throw a mouse and headset with this and game, its excellent. If you want to try to multi-task and work or voice-chat, there will be difficulty. Be wary.

I am a Mac user but got this to carry around for gaming. It handles what i need it to do gaming-wise with no problem (playing madden and 2k at the moment). The screen is better than I thought it would be since I'm used to the Mac retina display, and the specs are better than what you get from Razer for less money. It looks awesome and is super light, so I don't even mind carrying it as my 2nd machine. But the best part for me was using it to process some large excel files at work- the G14 performed 5x faster than my Dell desktop! This Ryzen chip is a beast! I will be keeping an eye out for any more of these as they upgrade it.
