    Great for AutoCAD

I use this laptop for AutoCAD. Great support for the AutoCAD software, so I'm guessing it would be great for gaming as well. Kicking myself for not checking to see if it had a webcam before buying it. I'll have to buy one separately. The keyboard doesn't have great backlighting - hard to see keys in low lighting. Overall, I am happy with it!

I've had this computer for over a month now and I love it. It runs Cyberpunk 2077 pretty well! Only complaint is that I have to mess around with the settings to keep the battery from draining so quickly. Once you adjust the settings you will have at least an 8 hours battery life. My biggest complaint is definitely how loud the fan can get.

Nice overall laptop, a few shortcomings

The laptop as a whole works great, with temperatures and performance both being very on point. The fingerprint sensor is almost entirely useless and the keyboard back lighting is pretty poor. Both onboard and external graphics work great, with switching typically being nearly (thought not always completely) seamless. CPU performance is as expected, with it chewing through most workloads I've tested it against without issue. If the durability holds up, this will prove to be an excellent device.

It’s a very great laptop for gaming. My previous laptop was 15.5 inches so it took a little time getting used to a smaller screen. I love how light it is, which is perfect for university. However, any new owners contemplating on getting this MUST update the wireless adapter driver manually. I couldn’t connect to the internet for no more than 30 minutes to an hour until it booted me off and reseted. This can be very annoying for gaming. Updating the wireless adapter driver completely eliminated that issue. Backlighting isn’t the best but it’s no dealbreaker. One pleasant surprise was that the speakers sound excellent with the Dolby atmos configuration. If you can handle extra set up (more info on zephyrus g 14 reddit page for best optimization to suit your needs), I recommend this for anyone!

Now I will preface this with saying I am normally not a fan of gaming laptops, I normally find that gaming is more comfortable on a desktop computer. With that being said, this laptop is amazing, runs super quiet with basic tasks, but can game like a beast. It does get rather hot, but nothing a separate keyboard and mouse doesn’t handle.

This is my first Asus laptop and I expected more than this. Color option is limited to white for this specification even though they offer and black/eclipse gray. The speakers are great. The backlight of the keyboard needs to be better because you can't even see the keys properly. Fans are audible even though you are just watching a movie and nothing else is running in the background. Build quality needs to be better compared to MacBook and Razer products, it's not on par. I'm not sure if this is the defect of this unit I purchased or is this how they really make their product. but hopefully, the QA of Asus gets better. Don't spend too much on marketing if the quality of your product is not that good. Action speaks louder than words.

Follow instructions online to resolve heating issues. Once that is fixed, this is hands down the best laptop I have ever owned. I was concerned about the backlit keyboard issues but I never need to turn it on because the silver keys are very easy to see even in low/no light situations.

This machine is everything I was looking for in a gaming PC. The one con is that it doesn't have a webcam, but I can deal with that. As far as computing power, this hits it out of the park. Resource intensive games like Civilization 6 run smooth like butter even when all of the graphics settings are on the highest level possible.

Great specs for the price, but the screen is bad

I’ve had this laptop for 2 weeks and I decided it’s better to return it. The screen quality is just horrible for the price of the laptop. The Good: Amazing specs. I was able to run games like Call Of Duty, Valorant, Gears Of War, and a few others with no issue Editing on the machine was fine. I did some video editing and Photoshop work, and it did fine. It did get pretty hot during the video editing, but nothing too bad The build quality on this laptop is great. I could see this lasting someone 4-5 years of use The bad: The screen is just awful. In terms of brightness, unless you’re in a very dark room, you will notice just how bad it is. The quality of the screen is also very bad. ASUS says it’s 1080, but I’m not sure about that. It just looked so bad. If you can get past the terrible screen and plan to only use this laptop in a dark room then this is a great laptop. What’s inside this is incredibly powerful and you can run pretty much any game on high settings.

I've read many reviews on here about this laptop where they experienced nothing but problems. Well, that has not been my experience at all. The laptop is super quick, the speakers are great, and it never has an issue. Sure, it can get very hot (both internally and to the touch), but there are ways to mitigate that. If it is doing CPU- and/or GPU-intensive work, I have it on a laptop stand, which allows for better airflow. This alone reduces hardware temps by a good 10 degrees C. Furthermore, I use Ryzen Mobile Tuner to reduce the max CPU temp--and, at times, to reduces the wattage, etc. I did return the first laptop I got because of the temps. But when the second (current) one suffered from the same, I found other solutions (mentioned above). There is a lot going on it such as a small package, so it is no surprise that it gets really hot. The area above the keyboard can get really hot (!), but that is not a problem that I really experience any longer, given the stand and max temp reduction. My only complaint is that I wish it had a larger screen. I would leave everything else the same, however.

The G14 is pretty great all around and my favorite part is the battery life you able to really get out of this thing. The only negative is that the back light to the keyboard is known to be bad on the white version which it is. Asus is supposedly aiming to fix those issues with future batches. Besides that, pretty solid laptop if you ask me.

This is a great gaming laptop. It does get hot when playing high cpu games and when the fan is running it is loud but for all the hardware in this small laptop it is understandable. Simple tasks work much better than a 2020 surface pro 7 which I use for work. I highly recommend this laptop. The only downside is the backlit keys are white on silver.

I got this for the upcoming school year because who knows when I’m going to be stuck in my dorm with nothing to do. Well now I can game on a rig that doubles as a ultrabook. This thing is seriously insane. The only thing is it gets quite hot and I’d recommend some sort of laptop cooling pad to keep this machine at comfortable temps. Overall amazing though!!

I was in need of a laptop that could provide me the power I needed with the portability I desire. I was between this Asus G14 or the Razer Stealth with 1650ti given they fit my size/portability need. The thing that sold me was the value. The Razer being underpowered in comparison, i7 with a 1650ti, versus a Ryzen 9 and 2060 (although a Max-Q version at that) for roughly $300 less? The G14 was ahead. Then came the panel quality, both are perfectly calibrated for photo and/or video editing jobs. However, the stealth has soldered ram, so 16GB is the max, the G14 won another point given it supports up to 40GB of ram (8 soldered, 8 SO-DIMM that can be replaced with a 32GB SO-DIMM stick). This support for such a size of ram, although an odd one given if both sticks were replaceable it would do max 64GB, is great for someone like me that as well as gaming does video editing. The speakers are hard to explain, as I haven't heard the Stealth ones, but the G14 speakers, after switching the dolby menu to dynamic, which I highly recommend for any purchaser, trust me, the speakers are amazing, and laptop speakers are usually not great. Given these big factors, I purchased the G14. No doubt about it, highly recommend. Best Regars, A happy G14 owner.

Speed...Speedy. Really good for a tiny size laptop and battery life is decent. Some things need updates in the next version like the led backlight very inconsistent. Also, the fan noise is slightly more which sometimes makes no sense as there is no intense work going on. Overall a great buy if you are looking for a compact and powerful laptop.

Good performance. Was displeased to find after getting it home that it had no camera. Not sure why any company would offer a laptop in this performance class with no camera to video conference with. That is my biggest disappointment. Secondly white LED lights on silver keys I'd very difficult to see. Not enough contrast.

I don't have anything technical to say, I play a lot of games, it runs everything I play perfectly. It gets hot, but all laptops do, get a cooling pad and you are set. It even ran the New marvel avengers beta with no issues for me, and that game had tons of people having issues.

Very good for gaming the graphics and speed are awesome. Good for 3D animation and rendering too. The only thing I didn't like was the backlight on the keyboard, its not as bright and sometimes I can barely see the keys with it on ironically. Other than that its a very good laptop.

Amazing laptop. Powerful little beauty! I am very happy with this purchase. It has taken anything I threw at it. Only thread ripper chips were beating it on the cinebench test. Seems well built. Looks great. Feels premium. The LED backlight is not RGB, and isn't very bright. But the keys feel premium. And it feels nice to press.
