I've only had this laptop for a couple of weeks now, but I really love it. The build feels really solid. One downside is the fans can get pretty loud in Turbo mode, but you've gotta move the heat somehow I guess.

It’s a great looking laptop that isn’t too “gamer-y” to daily drive for work or school. Performance is stellar so far, trackpad is good. Lack of webcam isn’t too big of a deal, but it is something to keep in mind.

I needed a quick replacement for a prior work laptop that got electrical damage, so I went to Best Buy and came hoe with this on that day. I normally take weeks analyzing and shopping for a laptop, not this time. This machine is very fast, with great graphics. It is smaller than I am used to. The backlit keys don't work so great, I need a light to see the keys (no, I can't type. :) ). This machine runs VERY hot, but to date has not caused any problems. And the white case is quick to show dirt (makes it easy to see to clean).

I've been using this laptop for about a month and I musy say that it is amazing. While it doesn't handle as well as my 3k rig, it doesn't disappoint in overall performance especially with the portability

Amazing powerful compact gaming laptop. Note: Due to physics it does get hot. Get a cooling lap desk and/or a cooling desk stand (with fan built in) to help it stay cool. Not strictly necessary, but will help.

I have had the laptop for a while now and I can confidently say that I have had no problems with the laptop. The high refresh rate makes browsing the web and games look like butter, compared to my 60 hz monitor. The lack of a webcam was a little disappointing but could be solved with a cheap one from amazon. Overall functionality is great. Finger print reader is not 100 percent accurate but as of late, it seems like its a nearly 75 percent success average. One of the issues is heat dispersion right beneath the keyboard. This was a little annoying at first but given the fact I have a wireless keyboard connected, it is not really a problem. Overall, this is a great laptop and I am sure that it can last a good 5 to 8 years before needing to be retired.

I don't normally care about the unboxing experience in a product but this laptop actually has a really cool one. The performance so far has been great and it does not get as loud under load as the reviews on youtube said it would. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a mobile workhorse.

So far I have loved my G14. This laptop is a solid choice for a person that wants something that is very portable and yet still a work horse. Both my 3D modeling for work and casual gaming has been a blast.

AMD Ryzen 9 is amazing and a good pair with the 2060. Wish it had the option for 2080 but I understand about the thermals. Great size too, coming in under 4 lbs. also living the higher refresh rate screen. Thumbs up!

I haven't had a new laptop since my Inspiron 5555, I try to hold on to my tech until it runs down. I decided to pull the trigger on this. 1 month in, really like the machine. Snappy, can play most games on medium settings, and i upgraded the ram so its at 40gb now. Pretty machine and will hold on to it for school. It does get too hot to touch at times however, and the settings need a lot of tinkering with to get the most battery life out of it. Overall, its good. Not great but good.

it has worked so good. The Ryzen 9 processor is fast, especially for all the multitasking I put my computers through. It also handles video games really well with great graphics and fast response time.

This is an amazing laptop and i have really enjoyed playing it. The only thing I question about it is how hot it gets even when I have it in turbo mode, it reaches 93 degrees and above. I understand that it is a laptop but seems kind of concerning to me seeing that I don't want to fry the system.

It’s a great small insane laptop. Gets pretty hot but that’s because it is small. All my games can run on ultra (but again computer can get extremely hot so I don’t) but even on lower settings it all looks so good.

This laptop is absolutely worth what I paid for it. Got it on sale on Black Friday open box excellent for 1090 before tax. The construction of it, as well as the specs are very good for the price. I’m very happy with the performance of both gpu and cpu, however the monitor has a VERY high response time of ~40 ms or so. This causes really bad ghosting in fast paced games, but if you plan to use with an external monitor it’s not an issue. I appreciate the 120hz panel, but with such high response time causing ghosting, what was the point really? That is the only nitpick I have with it though, besides wishing the SSD was a little faster. Overall amazing product, and I would recommend.

No issues with it so far though it does run somewhat loud on turbo and if you don’t run it on turbo it gets a bit hot, not too much of an issue if you use some sort of headphones though.

Average Joe user here. Its been a while since I’ve had this laptop now. Have had no boot issues, no screen flickering, nothing deal breaking/heart breaking. For gaming, this is a wonderful piece of tech. I don’t stress it too much, tbh. I run Destiny 2 on this at 1080, 120fps. Ghosting and tearing isn’t a big issue, nothing detracts from the visual experience. Screen brightness is great, no issues using in a well-lit room but avoid direct sunlight on the screen. Audio, while not the best, will not bother you at all. I work as a sound engineer and audio quality is just fine for the average consumer. Keystrokes may take a little getting used to, slightly different feel and feedback if you’re used to traditional keyboards. I hook it up to a mechanical keyboard most times so not an issue. Trackpad is wide and pretty accurate. Built-in microphone works surprisingly well. Tested on Discord chat and no one had issue with it. Sat about two feet away from the laptop and clarity was fine. WiFi is fantastic. Had a few hiccups in the beginning but updating all drivers seems to have smoothed out the issues. So, Cons. Some of this is personal preference, so keep that in mind. Temps. Obviously, as a laptop, thermals are an issue. Keep this puppy elevated and the underside fans completely free of obstruction. The slight elevation from the lid is not enough. At its hottest, touching the keyboard felt like a warm seatbelt buckle. Ensure your room has good airflow and is relatively cool. I experimented with ambient temperature by blasting AC in my room to drop it to around 67F. I ran games nonstop for two hours and the laptop was only pleasantly warm at the end of that session (non-stop PvP, Gambit, Strikes, etc for fellow Guardians). If you keep your airflow and temps in the room good, no real problems. Fans are LOUD. Maybe change the curve/profile in Armoury Crate but they are loud and spin up immediately. Again, this is going to be tied directly to ambient room temperature. They spin up opening Chrome browsers but stay low db until something graphics intensive kicks in. Yes it’s a con but they do a good job keeping thermals in check if you pay attention to airflow and ambient temperature. There’s this weird snapping noise that comes from the speakers every once in a while. An hour or two in between? While not deal breaking, I sometimes worry if the speakers will blow out whenever I hear it. Color reproduction is okay at best. For the most part an average joe like me won’t really be bothered by it but if you want to use it for photo/video editing be aware that colors seem slightly washed out/low contrast/under saturated. It’s not terrible but something to keep in mind. Available ports. I am slightly inconvenienced by the few choices available. A docking station or USB-C hub with additional ports will solve most of those problems. Touch ID/Log in. It’s.....finicky at best. I’ve reset my fingerprint on it several times since it has an extremely hard time recognizing me. I’ve had best results by only gently laying my finger on the button after saving my fingerprint. Wishes: I so desperately wish it had an Ethernet port but WiFi is very very reliable so far. No latency issues in gaming or Discord chatting. Built in camera for video conferencing would have been nice but wholly unnecessary. Wish I realized this model doesn’t have the AniMe Matrix LEDs. Just an aesthetic choice, really. No detractions. Overall: great for the average Joe who does not demand much from a portable gaming rig/work station. Sleek, modern, lightweight, powerful. The pros vastly outweigh the cons imo. I recommend changing the battery profile to hold charging at 60% or 80% if it will spend most days tethered to the charging cable. Make sure you only have the graphics card take over for specific applications (games, etc). Don’t watch p*rn or whatever on it and get viruses. You’ll hate yourself. Treat this piece of hardware kindly and keep it for the long run.
