For the most part, I am relatively satisfied by it so far, but the fans don't seem to be doing a great job of keeping the laptop cool. My old laptop has been running a few games next to me as I set up the G14 and my old laptop is currently cooler (with no fan running) than the G14 which is very warm under my palms and has audible fan noises. As others have mentioned, the backlighting on the keyboard makes the letters illegible. Will update as time passes, but my initial impression of this laptop is that its a bit of a disappointment for the price so far.

Excellent computer with high-performance, good quality of keyboard although beware because it can get super hot to touch while playing. I guess it might be because of aluminum design.

Super powerful laptop, but it ran really hot. Loved it while I used it but no webcam and short battery life had me return it.

Blazing fast and plays all AAA games while still offering standard laptop benefits. One and only con is it can generate some heat depending on what you're playing.

Build quality is excellent and performs really well. However, after longer gaming sessions, laptop gets uncomfortably hot and loud.

Bought this laptop for my wife and she absolutely loves it! Excellent laptop! It worked great right out of the box and is sleek and feels good to hold. It's lightweight and runs smoothly.

Son is happy he has a gaming computer. Only downfall is that it does get hot so had to get a cooling fan. Sometimes the keys still get hot. But still works great and fast speeds.

It's amazing to see how something this much power can last nearly 10 hours while streaming video. The keyboard backlight is subpar, but it looks fine in the dark and is good enough to see the keys.

This is my first time for Asus laptop. The speed is lightning fast compared to my 3yrs laptop. If you are looking for speed and performance, this is one the best laptop for value.

i just got it today and it is already so amazing it runs so well and i got it when it was on sale. i couldnt be happier.. it does un a little hot but im going to buy a fan for it

Had it about a month now. Graphics are great. Fan settings help keep the noise down. Fairly light weight and easy to carry around. Despite being light and portable, it still feels well made.

So far so good! Have not had a chance of playing games. Lighter than I expected. Fans keep running however I work in a relatively noisy place so the sounds of fans do not bother me.

Laptop is amazing, operates great. Specs for price phenomenal. Only thing keeping it from a 5 star..... Charging port location and the charging block. Cable due to rigidity has taken damage. All in all this laptop is way above par for a below par case. Asus strikes again!!!!! Minor gripes are; updating took forever... Had nothing but issues out of the box, but once resolved it was golden. I loved the graphite color of the lower tier model better. Options would be better.... Laptop performs above expectations, look no further if you are looking for a moderately priced gaming laptop like a traveling electrician like myself.

Great laptop, extremely fast. Worth the price if you game heavily. The construction of it is good with the magnesium body but there is no webcam! Fans can get loud though!

This is the laptop of 2020. Insane performance per watt, smokes anything from Intel. Had issues with the GPU fan, so watch out for unusual fan noise. Other than that, go for it.

Modest gaming laptop, or powerful ultrabook? However you look at it it's a great regular gaming laptop with it's stand out feature being it's size to performance ratio for it's price.

Great small laptop has all the power I need. It would have been 5 stars but I couldn't get the promotion for 2 games when I purchased. Order errored and I only got one game.
