Fast processor with such a good price but the screen is a little too small without a internal webcam but overall quality is good

Really nice compact laptop works with tons of games only downside for me is the lack of a camera besides that this computers great!

I know most people buy this machine for gaming. I always liked the 14inch form factor however forced to use 15.6inch in the past because 14inch only meant ultrabook. Ryzen really killing the game with their 4000 series CPUs and this coupled with the RTX graphics card makes it even better. I hook up this to my 4k monitor for video editing and it really works great. Not having a webcam really didn't bother me for my needs. My only con is that poor choice of keyboardlighting. It's better off without that lighting.

My laptop works great for what I need and want. I can run the games I enjoy playing and do work on it. I feel as though this laptop gives great performance feedback as well. My only issue with this laptop is that the battery life does not last as long as I had expected. It’s more like 2 and a half hours vs the much more I was under the impression I’d be getting. I’m sure there is more optimization I can do for it to fix this though. My laptop arrived in less than a day and I enjoy it.

Overall, this is an awesome computer for editing and gaming on the go! Be warned though, it does get hot on your lap after a while.

The computer, as a computer, is fabulous. That is the good. Unfortunately, there are problems with some of the secondary aspects of the computer. The bad is when I am on the Internet the screen goes blank repeatedly. I really don't know if it is the fault of the website or the computer. The other bad is the keyboard. Specifically, the backlight is horrendous. The keyboard is silver with black letters. When the backlights are on the letters disappear. In my opinion the lights are very weak. During daylight it si very hard to see the letters if the lights are on. When I turn the backlights off then everything is fine. That brings us to another problem which is also with the backlight. When I am distracted and leave the computer for a brief period the screen goes off as you might expect. When I c for ome back and start working again the backlights are magically back on. The keys to turn the backlights off does not work. My only option is to restart the computer and lose where I was working. Otherwise, I can't see the keys since the lights are on. I will say if I work in very low light the backlights are bright enough to use them, although barely. I have had the computer two weeks. I am seriously thinking of returning it for something else. The ugly is Asus customer support. When I contacted them they said I could return it for warranty work. They also said I would be without the computer for some time considering the time it apparently takes to go from one country to another. Maybe I got a lemon. I don't know.

Great laptop, slim, excellent performance, but here are the issues: The 3060 in the newer model kicks this one's but. the 5 series processor in the newer model kicks this one's but. The screen in the newer model is vastly superior to the one in this model. This is a great laptop the the 3060 in the newer model is a mid tier wattage GPU and not a max-q, like the 2060 in this model, essentially hamstringing it to the performance level of a 1660.

Ive had this laptop for roughly 7 months now. Its been pretty good to me. I mainly use this for gaming. However, it finally crapped out. The fans quit working unexpectedly and it over heated. Hopefully warranty will cover this issue. I do recommend it however as i feel that i may be just a rare case of this happening. It does get a little on the left side under the keys while gaming, but an external fan has helped with this problem.

Great Laptop. Good for work and for Games. I use Photoshop, CAD, PDF editing software, several games, and video / audio editing.

This computer is a little beast. Traveling a lot with work this setup makes it easy to play all of my favorite games while away.

I've been using this for a while now. I can run virtual machines while still running normal operations and games. I am impressed at it's power for how small of a form factor it is in. For a super light portable system for gaming and is still a strong performer for CAD/Graphics work I think it is great deal. For general web surfing it has a great battery life. Obviously for heavy gaming you should be plugged in. Only caution is that this isn't the model with the AniMe Matrix. The lights on the back of the lid.

Solid, light, fast, and super nice overall. Only issue is that the model only comes in moonlight white at this price.

I read a lot of reviews before buying this laptop. You get a lot of bang for your buck. I hooked it up to my 4K monitor and it looks beautiful. Very slick design. If I had to mention a downside it would be the fan noise. It doesn’t bother me personally since I use noise canceling headphone but running games on ultra settings will make the fan work overtime. I’m pretty satisfied overall.

Lightweight and easy to use, I can play most game without any issues. Very good gaming laptop for this price point.

First off, I want to say Thank you to Best Buy and UPS for doing such a great job getting this item over to me in great condition. I will look to Best Buy for more products in the future - especially big ticket gaming items like this. I got this laptop and I really liked it right out of the box. I wanted to go over some things very quickly, while not providing an in depth review - because other people do that. The Good. - Easy set up right out of the box - Getting good FPS on AAA games at 1080P, I haven't tried 4K gaming yet, but I'm sure I will be OK at low/med settings. - 120 Hz refresh rate is pretty nice - Speakers are great - not as good as Macbook Pro - but close to them (in my opinion). - You can use USB C to HDMI to use on an external monitor The Bad. (not a huge bad, just minor inconvenience) - Need to do some tweaking to get better battery life out of this machine. When I took it out of the box, I was getting roughly 2.5 hours battery life - and I was told that this laptop could get 8 to 9. Check Reddit for some tips - doing some of those things really helped. Now I'm getting roughly 6 hours at 100% battery while running Norton in the background, Spotify, the 120 Hz screen, and 60 to 70% brightness. That's enough for me. Some people still are getting like 9 to 10 hours but they have to shut some things off and I'd rather not shut some of those things off (like 120 HZ screen). All in all - I wanted a laptop that I could use to chill and listen to music and do work on - while having the potential to say - hey I'm bored, I'm gonna do a couple rounds of battlefield and get back to work. This laptop is perfect for that. Great job ASUS on an amazing build. Again - Thank you to Best Buy for this. I'm not surprised that Best Buy has stayed competitive in an ever changing technology market.

This machine is a beast !! There are a few things I have to get used to. The keyboard is a tab bit smaller from the lenovo y50-70 touchscreen that I am replacing. Great machine but not light. And also no number pad (but can be fixed with an external keyboard). No big deal about camera missing. bought brand new logitech at pawn shop dirt cheap. The part that does bother me is the backlighting. I wish they fix that issue. All laptops I have ever owned have had backlighting that gave me no problem at reading the keys at all. But I do love the 8 second boot up and fingerprint works for me (just lay your finger on the button lightly and log in no problem. But gosh darn this doohickey is fast. Lightning mcqueen fast !!I wont use it to play games. I am going to use it for coding, photo editing and video editing. Having a RTX install can use the GPU to help speed up the processing. Yes price was a bit steep but I will get used to it with the payoff i will get from it.

Really enjoyed the capabilities of this machine and have been playing Control at the highest settings since. This is a new niche product, so it comes with it's own headaches and have required that I scroll through reddits r Zephyrusg14 to fix all its nuances. It takes work to get this optimally running due to windows, nvidia, and amd being disorganized on how their products run on this machine. It's the headache you get for being a early adopter of a new product, but overall it runs great, a jack of all trades laptop. If you're not doing competitive gaming then the screen's refresh rate doesn't matter. Solid computer for video editing and hooks up to a monitor just fine to get some lower temps. Recommend it, just be ready for some work. Shoutout to wertzius for helping in the subreddit.

Amazing laptop. one of the most powerful 14'' laptops out there. before I bought it I read about some users complaining about the keyboard backlight and some random screen issues. Ive been using the laptop for a month on a daily basis and I have ZERO performance issues. The backlight can be controlled and it is very readable in a relatively dark room also if you increase the brightness it works great. Happy with my purchase and I would extremely recommend this device.
