Overall this is a great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the most part, this product has exceeded my expectations. Set up was effortless. For the applications that I can use it seems almost effortless in its ability to upload the software. I have yet to experience lag or freezing in the products I'm able to use. The case is thin, lightweight and attractive. It's easy to move around, in other words. Internet access also seems effortless and in most cases I haven't had to do much work at all to get things going. That being said, I'm still having to trouble shoot my inability to play some of my games. Two of the games are recent builds, so the specifications should not be a problem.(Although one game may have problems on the game end, not the ASUS). I haven't tried all my games, but Planet Zoo crashes almost immediately. According to the company, they've had problems with the specific graphic card. I'm hoping that eventually I'll get things straightened and won't have problems with any of the games I like to play. I do think that my preference is that everything work out of the box and that I don't have to do much to get it going. I will say, that games like Civilization VI work fantastically.

Awesome Laptop!!!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first laptop I have ever owned from ASUS and this computer keeps up with everything I put it through. From productivity to quality of life I wish I could give more than five stars. Also, the price was right on point and I could buy it at my local store and not have to worry about wanting for it. Awesome job ASUS and Best Buy.

Pandemic Mobile Powerhouse
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always scoffed at using laptops beyond productivity (Office suite stuff, emails, document writing, etc), and some general media usage (light gaming, Netflix, Youtube, etc) while keeping a somewhat "decent" battery life. This laptop has been able to run anything I've thrown at it, without too much of a drop in battery life. There were a few instances when I forgot to plug the charger into the wall and was just consuming plenty of HD media on it without realizing it was not charging at all. I've played some games of League of Legends during that time and after finishing my session and packing up. I only realize then that I've not been charging it the entire time. The standby time is incredible. I don't know how long the laptop lasts without charge, but it seems to have gone almost a month with minimal battery drain. The 14" size is not too big, and the metal chassis gives it a very premium feel (think MacBook/Surface). The fingerprint sensor isn't perfect, but it gets the job done.

Hot under load
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.High performance, painfully hot. Doesn't throttle but the entire laptop is painful when gaming, rendering. Just too small to have adequate cooling. Cantt even touch the chassis until it cools down.

Great overall Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was looking for a PC that could be my workstation and handle gaming. Super happy with my purchase, it can handle all my editing and workload I put on it PLUS gaming at high quality. On a flight I played The Witcher 3 with all graphics and display settings on high and had no issues and the battery lasted me 2hrs. Definitely recommend.

So far so great!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a really solid little laptop so far. I've had it about a month, and it's been able to handle an awful lot. I've been playing Witcher 3 at ultra, and it holds up pretty decently. The fan isn't too loud, it's a good size, and the HDMI port is perfect for plugging into a tv when I want it. I recommend it!

Performs very well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my son who is mostly interested in playing games, but also learning programs like Photoshop. His evaluation was 8.5 out of 10, with the only criticism being that the screen is a bit small. I looked at a number of published reviews before purchasing this and I agree with most of them. The only hardware shortcomings on this machine are the uneven backlighting on the keyboard — it's usually easier to read the keys with backlighting turned off — and the fingerprint reader, which does function, but not nearly as well as one on an iPhone. Other common criticisms are easily overcome with a couple of fairly inexpensive accessories — a web cam and a USB adapter that lets him plug his mouse into the left side of the machine. The 120Hz display is good and he gets good frame rates and textures from the graphics card. WiFi ax performs very well. The machine is solidly built and the trackpad is good.

Small, Hot, and Powerful
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes some tweaking to get the best battery life and some default settings make this thing run HOT, but if you're willing to put in some initial effort to overcome these problems, this is a considerably powerful laptop for the size (even when considering that the RTX 3000 gpus are out in the wild now).

Great deal of Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such a great laptop. Everything I needed it to be and more. I love the build, and as a gamer laptop, it's great. It can get really loud sometimes depending on the settings. Also got it for out of box, and it was an absolute steal. Thanks to the great employee that helped me out. So happy to have this laptop.

Compact but Powerful Gaming Laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly can’t believe that the cost of this thing is under $1,500 for what you get with it. First of all, the AMD 4900HS is a beast of a CPU. It includes an Nvidia 2060 Max-Q which isn’t the greatest but will allow you to play all of your games with very good to ultra settings. 16GB is sufficient for most folks but upgrading is a pain. Many folks complain about the noise but ASUS ARMOURY Crate allows you to change the fan speed; silent will quiet it down but keep it cool and solve almost everyone’s complaint. Backlit keyboard wasn’t an issue for me and I could see it fine. It’s a very comfortable and great keyboard. My only complaint is it’s a pretty average screen. It does the job and it’s 120Hz but it won’t blow you away by any means. Overall this thing is a no brainer if you are looking to game or do media editing. 10/10 would recommend.

Good price/Power balance in Ryzen
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A high quality, low form factor laptop with performance where it counts and no major corners cut. Well, aside those that are part of the style. While I feel the additional cost for the AniME display and higher res screen are a bit much, this particular model of the G14 hits all the tech points without breaking the bank.

Great laptop for everybody
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 G14 for my college student sons. One is in electrical engineering and other in computer science. They are using to play games and go to school. No complaints at all so far. I think I got the best laptop for power, size, weight and battery life.
