It exceeded my expectation. Playing all games at max setting. Does get hot after a while on more demanding games, so I would play in an air conditioned room.

Finally replacing my i5 3rd gen laptop of over 5+ years with this beast. Looking forward to another 5, possibly way more with a R9, years. Got the R9 mainly for productivity work, the fact that I can game on it as well is a nice bonus during off-hours.

This machine has replaced my former daily-driver and it surprises me with how fast and capable it is every day. I know the G14 series has a stellar reputation, but I can say that in the time I've owned this it's consistently met that bar.

I purchased this laptop as a gaming laptop and it has exceeded my expectations. Runs any game I throw at it with no issues and at a high fps. The 120hz screen is silky smooth and works great for online shooters like fortnite and Cod. It’s also perfect for more than gaming. It will handle any work load with ease. It’s rare to find an all in one package this good with such a cheap pricing. The only con I have run into is the temps. It’s understandable that such a small laptop with hefty internals would put out a decent amount of heat but this thing gets unbearably hot. It is fixable with a small tweak that can be found easily online but someone who doesn’t know as much about computers could have trouble changing the battery settings. I would not let this steer you away from getting this laptop though. With so few compromises it’s 100% worth getting in my opinion

love it. not a gamer. use it for cad software and architectural type stuff. Has all the specs i need to run my full office. And i got a stupid good deal with it being open box + tax free weekend. saved like 40%. i rule.

Excellent performance for price. Sleek and stylish on the go, gaming laptop. Efficient airflow with minimal noise exertion. Metal-based chassis supports overall cooling. Packaging has hidden compartments for charger parts... but it’s all there.

Can’t beat the performance value of this laptop. On par with $2-3k laptops in many ways. Only downside is soldered 8 GB stick of ram that means you shouldn’t upgrade the other stick unless you are ok with losing dual channel performance.

So first things first, they patched the black screen issue... I run this with a CRG5 27in from Samsung. This machine is incredible. It does require knowledge of the products you are purchasing. I get 10+ hours of battery when you change the operation mode in the Asus armory app to windows. Make sure you have all patches and updates. This crushed my intel machine builds and slaughters modern games at 60-200fps. You will not be disappointed.

This is my first gaming laptop after having had a series of slim notebooks. After a few hiccups when it first arrived, I'm now thrilled with the performance. The updates have fixed any issues I previously had, and the performance is top-notch.

I love this laptop! But it gets really hot if not configured properly. Search online for how to fix heating in the Asus G14, and you'll be able to fix this issue. Other than that I have no other complaints. Keyboard is really comfortable, too.

This laptop DRAINS the battery way too fast, especially when on minimum brightness and power saving mode. I can probably use it for an absolute maximum of 1 hour on battery if I only have two tabs open in Firefox and nothing else running in the background. As of right now I've been using the laptop from 91% to check my email. 30 minutes later with two tabs open the whole time (one being my email and the other being a Google scholarly search) my battery is down to 41%. Hell since writing this email for a whole 2 or 3 minutes it has gone down 2%. This is a great upper-middle of the line laptop but if you plan to use it as an actual laptop where you travel around and use it, you're in the wrong place.

I bought this computer mainly to use it at the university, despite not having a camera, it turned out to be a very good laptop since I only need the microphone for zoom and in quality conditions the material in this laptop is very high quality

Best laptop chip on the market, nvidia 2060, good little keyboard and smooth trackpad. Just the right number of connections. No problems running lightroom/photoshop and or live streaming with yeti, logi 3922 and Xsplit. Best laptop I have owned

This laptop is a beast, plays all games without any problems and stays relatively cool for what it is. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a compact laptop that will keep up with most modern aaa titles and needs to do some rendering.

Excellent construction, sturdy magnesium chassis. The 120 variable refresh rate screen is excellent. Don't let the 1080p turn you off. The display being 15" makes it appear of much higher resolution due to pixel density. Setting up the first set of Asus driver downloads is where this device falls short. I think that's more of an Asus issue, and not specific to this model. This laptop does not include a webcam, but that might just be the price paid for such a thin screen. Overall the best laptop one could find in 2020 at this price point. Getting the advertised 10+ hour battery life may also fall under the driver setup headsche but it is very doable.
