The Zephyrus looks pretty great on paper - especially if it's on sale over the holidays for just $1200, but sadly the glitches are so numerous that this little laptop is just not worth the hassle. I've already experienced the black screen glitch and am now encountering a blue screen crash with increasing frequency. On top of this, a new issue has the sound services no longer working. All of these issues have been experienced by other Zephyrus owners and I'm wishing I'd listened to them instead of the positive reviews. I owned a ROG laptop from ASUS for several years and had serious issues with software -- mainly with sound card problems involving ROG software and RealTek. But I had hoped that a newer laptop wouldn't have the same problems -- sadly, it looks like this is an area where ASUS just falls short, period. There's also the bizarre issue of there being no camera in the laptop (not a huge issue but now I have to lug an attachable one around with me). There's a fancy dot-matrix thing on the lid but, guess what, I haven't bothered doing anything with it, so it's pretty much just a massive waste of space (and an extra cost that I can't find justifiable). I usually just slap bumper stickers on my laptops when I want to customize. When the laptop is working, performance is great -- form factor of the laptop is pretty solid. But with the basic design problems already inherent suddenly coupled with all the glaring software issues, this puppy is not worth it.

I bought this laptop with high hopes. But the first disappointment came when the sound driver for the internal speakers did not work. From a 1500 dollar laptop, that was the last problem that I expected. Furthermore, the thermals on this are way too high, to a point that the screen starts distorting once it reaches a certain temprature. I have tried everything for the sound, uninstalling and manually installing the sound driver many times, but it only worked once until I shut the laptop down and hasnt worked since.

I love this laptop. It works so well. I use it for gaming (nothing too intensive, but it can definitely handle almost anything) and for school! 100% recommend! It is pretty slim for a gaming laptop!

The laptop is very powerful and runs games beautifully. I need a computer for research and will buy another through the company.

I had to return this laptop twice , but 3rd one works just fine. Real powerhouse, pretty quiet and amazing look.

The laptop gets really hot but it runs programs and games really well. It didn't come with a webcam which is crucial now-a-days. The build quality is also kind of bad.

I love this new laptop. It is so worth it for the price. This laptop can do things I did not know it could do for example the finger print sensor on the power button. Everything looks good about it and feels soo smooth to use:)

Best bang for your buck laptop. Looks absolutely phenomenal. You can use this in a professional environment and still game at high fps as well. Just turn up the fans to 100% in the manual mode and it stays cool.

Great laptop. Theres an optimization guide on reddit for getting the best thermal and getting the .oat out of the battery. Wish both ram slots were upgradeable. Screen is a bit small depending what game your going to play

Great value, backlighting on the keyboard is poor as mentioned in all reviews. However, with that off, you can't get a cheaper laptop packing as much premium hardware as this option. No regrets buying.

Helped a friend pick this out and they haven't had any complaints. Does the job and its intended use. Was worth the money, especially when it was on sale!

It gets super hot with the smallest tasks and the battery only lasts me 4 hours with me just researching stuff. But when plugged in it is very smooth and fun to use.

This is an excellent laptop for all of my task. It had a good screen and performance is fantastic for the size.

Picked up this laptop a couple hours ago and can already tell I am going to enjoy this work horse. Build quality feels great and it has the components to back it up. Cant wait to get some on the road gaming done on this device.

We had this for not even a year and it started having issues with the screen. My son and daughter used this for mostly video games / gaming. The screen started going black during the first year. I should of took it in, but did not realize warranty only covers within a year from what I could recall. Disappointed in this.

Good: - The product is a workhorse and has a pretty good screen (when it works). - The product is a fantastic size Bad: - Let me start with the fact that this thing gets hot. I mean real hot. In some ways it is what it is, they are packing a lot into this and something has got to sacrifice. I've burnt myself a couple of times - The worst: The display is extremely flaky. After several weeks of use I can confidently say there is something very wrong. My screen randomly goes black. Let me explain: First, I get flickers for about an hour or so. At some point, the backlight is still on (the monitor doesn't 'shut off, it just stops rendering), but nothing is displayed. I may be watching a video or playing a game, and the sound is still there which means the machine is still processing, but something is very wrong with the display. I've tried updating to the latest drivers and it still flickers and shuts off badly (at a minimum once daily). I also thought maybe it was something overheating, so I set the fans to maximum and monitored the heat and still nothing. It seems like there are a decent percentage of these devices with defects. Unfortunately I'm in a situation where I really want one but cannot live with this constant flickering and display problems. I fully intend to return this item. Ideally I'd like to try my hand at a new one to see if it's also defective but I also had to wait a long time for this one to finally ship and arrive. I want to give this 4 stars but given the severity of the defect I can't.

Very good so far, it's been a year now. Handles everything I throw at it, yuzu, forza horizon 5, sgw2 contracts and more. Great for movie night as the speakers are quite loud. No cons yet

I love this gaming laptop. Works like a champ! Play Call of Duty on it along with their games and no lag whatsoever. Frames per second never drops no matter what’s going on. Highly recommend!

I finally got to get rid of the heat engine in my game room. When it isn't running games it is pretty silent. And it can push games with really good FPS (if you are willing to realize its a laptop and not run it on ultra).
