Amazing laptop it’s been able to run any game I throw at it.

I really wanted to like this laptop. The compact form factor and the light weight makes it great choice for a portable workstation. I loved it when I first got it. No other laptop has this kind of power-to-weight ratio. The screen is bright and vibrant, and the speakers are good quality. That said, there are some issues that have cropped up during my time with the laptop that have really ruined my experience. I want to preface this by saying that I have tried every reasonable solution to resolve these issues. I have fully updated everything, from the bios and drivers to windows update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless drivers. As of writing this review, I have just done a full factory reset with still no improvement. 1. Coil whine. This is the worst issue I have had with this laptop by far. A very high-pitched squealing sound can be heard coming from the right speaker when the laptop is doing non-intensive tasks, such as web browsing or word processing. This seems to be related to the integrated gpu, as it is loudest when scrolling or moving the mouse. This issue is only noticeable in quiet environments, which is unfortunately where I get most of my productivity work done, and where the issue is the most irritating and distracting. 2. Screen brightness with external monitor. When using an external monitor with the g14 through the hdmi port, the laptop screen brightness maxes out. The brightness slider can still be adjusted, but it does nothing to change the actual brightness of the screen. This is frustrating because the screen at max brightness is uncomfortably bright for any low-light room. Because of this, I don’t use the laptop with my external display like I usually would with my old laptop. Dual monitors are borderline essential for my productivity, and it’s a shame that I can’t do that comfortably with this laptop. 3. Fn key. Occasionally this will just stop working. It’s not a huge issue but it’s annoying when it happens. 4. Keyboard ghosting. I have been using this laptop for the past month and I have noticed that I will occasionally type two of the same character. Initially I assumed I just wasn’t used to the feel of the keyboard, but I still have this issue after a month, and I have not had this issue with any of my previous laptop or desktop keyboards. At this point I assume it's a defect. 5. Speaker pops Occasionally the speakers will make a loud popping noise out of nowhere. 6. Keyboard backlight The backlighting is just abysmal for a $1500 laptop, but you probably already knew that. It is hard to see the key symbols in most lighting. I’ve turned it off and rarely ever turn it back on.

Awesome gaming laptop overall, and best processor that is hard to find as well! This laptop is a beast, ran all type benchmarks on it and I am impressed overall with the quality! You will definitely need an extra HDD for game storage as well as another monitor for desktop play. Overall this gaming ASUS laptop is best for the price!

The Asus Rog Zephyrus G14 is one of the best 14" gaming laptops on the planet. I got this for a gaming laptop to do lite gaming. It has become my main machine. Its great to be able to game and sit on the couch with the family. With all gaming machines it can run a little hot. You can find an online fix that takes care of this.

I pre-order this laptop when it first come out and I have to say is not bad for the price , however has some black screen issues due to the drivers. Overall good laptop for the price

First I would like to start off by saying that this is a powerful gaming laptop, everything else just feels like a bonus. Great gaming laptop At an affordable price (for its specs) This laptop is thin, sleek, stylish, it has a premium feel to it I’ve played Call od Duty Warzone on it as well as Apex. It out performs the console’s in that you can play it on the highest setting’s which in turn means that you get a smoother picture as well as a higher frame rate, and you can see out in the distance a lot clearer because of that. You definitely want to connect a controller to it or an external keyboard and mouse to play these games The highest possible level, but other simpler games can be played with the keyboard and trackpad just fine. In my opinion this Laptop has to be the best laptop in terms of specs (16GB Ram, Ryzen 9 processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card and a 1TB SSD) quality, battery life, slimness, and overall presentation. Sure there are “better” laptops out there but they can cost thousands of dollars, you can buy a better PC for the price but it would be a desktop not a laptop, and the difference is that obviously you can take this with you on the go. The only bad thing about this laptop is that they decided on a 1080p screen... I would’ve like to higher resolution screen, maybe not 4k but a 1440p or 2k resolution screen. In theory a higher resolution screen would not look any better on a screen this size (14”) but im just nitpicking because everything else is top notch. Some people are not happy with the power cord connecting to the laptop in the middle of the left side but that didn’t really bother me. The battery does last a long time, longer than other gaming laptops I have tried. I’m very happy with this gaming laptop, It is definitely future proof not only because of its specs, but also because of its slick, slim design. +Slim + Quality parts +battery Life +Powerfull -1080p no touch screen

I returned my fully specked out macbook pro 13 inch once I saw the specks for this beast. Great keyboard layout. Awesome finger print scanner. Clean design overall. I am super satisfied with my purchase. Compared to a fully specked out Macbook pro, the ROG Zephyrus G14 saved me nearly $800 for better performance and eye catching gimmicks

Incredible machine with a fatal flaw. The thing COOKS and has WEIRD software to manage fan/cooling settings. This thing gets sooooo HOT. An incredible machine for homework/papers/email/etc - not so much for gaming. It’s just not practical.

You can read the specs for yourself. This laptop is amazing for the power it backs in a small frame. The price point is spot on for the amazing power you get. I'm thrilled to have a compact gaming platform that works marvelously. It's quiet and remains fairly cool hours into gaming. I'm very pleased with this product.

I needed a laptop for video editing. This laptop does exactly what i need. I can use all adobe products on it and render 4k video as well. The only thing i dislike is the white gets dirty easily and you cant change the keyboard light colors. Also this specific model doesnt have the animation option for the top.
