Excellent gaming laptop BUT after 6 months of usage, the fan is making a whining and grinding noise. Asus will take 4 to 6 weeks to repair....which is unacceptable. Was going to buy the new G14 for other son but will now look at Dell since they have a much better warranty program.

By far the best laptop I've ever owned... So powerful, compact, I don't have a single bad thing to say about this laptop. I'm blown away at the build quality and performance. Sticker bombed mine a few months after buying it, the stickers add +4gb of video memory duh.

For the price it's pretty powerful. I'm not in line with the screen but it's average. My biggest complaint is that the thing gets so hot I can't touch it and type. I think it's just to small for airflow. Going to return it due to that since it is on my lap often

Absolutely gorgeous. All the power and in a smooth, sleek form. Love all the installed monitoring and updating software to keep this machine running in tip top shape. Fans kick in when gaming, but that is to be expected. I purchased a cooling deck for it and am off to the races.

Having owned this for 5 months I can honestly say this is the worst laptop I've ever owned. So many defects and problems with this laptop. Asus to support you? Nope... they won't touch it no matter where you are. Ive emailed them no less than 5 times. They refer to bestbuy bestbuy refers to them. Neither will take ownership. As for the laptop 1. Processor caps out randomly and causes lock ups for seconds at a time randomly. 2. Quality of cooling fans is horrible. Had 1 with obvious bearing issues causing slow fan speed and huge noise issues 2 weeks after i got it. No one will fix it after 5 months. 3. Overheating issues - gets super hot even with fans on max speed. Don't carry this in your lap ever. 4. Lighting is horrible for keyboard. I just turn it off and see keys 2x better. 5. Speaker driver issues with web based apps. Known issue no fix. Dont think your watching Netflix on this, it doesn't work and its obvious they turned volume controls down for a reason. No fix and no support I dont recommend this laptop at all. This feels like a 600.00 cheap laptop with over hyped specs. Which work great but the other defects are simply not worth it. Ive noticed significant issues with processing latency after 5 months? No... sorry this product is garbage. Ive built rigs myself lasting 12 years and still going strong. I wanted to try and again for some time but its not a good product mix at all. For rog Asus product this falls flat for me. At least support the product.

This was a gift for my husband and he loves it. I don't see him too much anymore, because the graphics on this laptop are better than real life. Overall, worth the price.

Due to the gpu shortage i turned to a laptop and choose this one based on specs and price point believe it was on sale at the time for almost 1100 . This can handle any game you can toss at it . I do recommend going to reddit or YouTube on how to get the best performance.

Did alot of research, drove 90 miles from home to a bestbuy that had it. Not sure why they did not have this on display at any of their stores. Was a great computer for the price and the price was rising at the time. They only thing i don't like is the case, looks very cheap.

nice, loud af tho when playing lol and at work. If used for work be aware that the fans be bustin. Also sometimes pixels glitch on lol app, easy fix get out get back in. have rcvd bans tho :(

Good laptop for gaming. However, received a lemon. Had faulty audio and did not connect to wifi. Exchanged it in store for a new one that worked perfectly. Wonderful laptop, but do not hesitate to exchange for a new one if the one you receive has any faults.

As a college student, I wanted a laptop that would work for both coursework and gaming. So, most of the normal gaming laptops on the market were out of the picture. This one, on the other hand, looks almost business-like with its sleek frame and clean color scheme. Plus, it's very portable at 14 inches. I was a bit weary about going with a laptop this size, since I thought it'd detract from the gaming experience -- BOY, WAS I WRONG. < Pros > The G14 is a BEAST. It's the fastest laptop I have ever used, no question. AMD killed it with their Ryzen 9 chip. It's unbelievable. Adding to the quickness is the 120Hz FHD screen, which is butter-smooth and pretty bright. I did not need the Quad HD screen; I honestly couldn't tell the difference. Battery life is stellar for a gaming laptop, coming in at roughly 8 - 9 hours average. The battery charges fully in roughly 1 h 30 min. 1TB SSD at this price is amazing and can handle a lot of games. This also helps the laptop boot up extremely quickly; I timed it at 11 seconds from completely off to on. 16 GB RAM can power through everything and the RTX 2060 is great for most modern games at middle settings. The keyboard and trackpad, which can both be butchered terribly on other gaming laptops, are excellent and provide good tactile feedback. Port choices are abundant, with two USB-A, two USB-C, an HDMI port, and a headphone jack. < Cons > No webcam. Almost a deal-breaker for me until I realized that I could just hook up an external one. The cams on most laptops are poor resolution anyway. The keyboard backlighting is atrocious. It's dim and uneven throughout. (Note that these are VERY minor flaws -- the pros outweigh the cons.) I cannot recommend the G14 enough to anyone looking for a gaming laptop. At $1449, it's a killer bargain, and even more so at the sale price that I purchased it at, $1199. If you are considering other laptops with similar specs, GET THIS ONE. You won't regret it!

very good computer, extremely fast and easy to use. feel it is as fast as my imac 2019 but with better gaming capabilities! defintely need to adjust the temperature curve with changing some setting though. cause it was up 97% when i was playing, but after changing it stays in the 60s.

Superfast! System boots under 30 seconds. I love the my asus application where you can set up your battery health charging to maximum lifespan mode where it only charges up to 60% and have your power supply adapter plugged in all the time without overcharging the battery.

Performance is amazing... when I connect to an external monitor. I purchased an open box model. To my sarcastic delight, the monitor did not work!!!!! So Im returning tomorrow to exchange and Ill update this review.

I bought this open box item and its been issue after issue. It crashes a lot. I don’t know how to fix it and geek squad wasn’t able to, either.

I had to return as I'm not a PC person, but I found it to be a high performing machine at a reasonable price. The build quality leaves a lot to be desired, and the fan runs like crazy, but that's to be expected for how much performance is pumped out of it.

Tons of power from the RTX 2060 ND 4900HS combo Ram unofficially upgradable to 40gb In low power mode can do around 10 hours of Netflix on about 1/2 brightness Only downside is the key backlighting is not great on silver keys so best to only use the backlight when it is dark.

So far so good, its been great for general use and gaming. The fan will run a bit loud under load, but that's mainly because of the GPU in it so it is expected. The only complaint is that my fingerprint reader like never works but that's minor.

Modern Warfare, Rainbow 6, Hyperscape, Minecraft, with RTX raytracing and it still performs at a steady 60-120 FPS depending on the game Max Settings no problem. Fans keep it nice and cool solid metal design with clean white backlighting makes for a work or play computer
