After using the ASUS ROG for about a week I can say it is a solid performer. Battery life is good, I ran it for just over 4 hours of play time. The graphics are solid and response time is good. I’m not giving it 5 stars though due to the 8gb of memory. If you are running the game and maybe one other thing in the background it performs but, if you happen to have more than a few items running, it will slow the performance down. Overall though, I’ve had no issues with it. It’s a good laptop for the price.

The Dolby sound on this laptop is absolutely amazing. It beats any other laptop I have ever had hands down. The graphics are very good as well, and the processor is very capable of handling anything I've tried so far. I really like the quick action button on the keypad to check your diagnostics and performance. Highly recommend.

A fast computer for a great price. I love the feel of the keyboard and it has surprisingly good speakers.

Bought this based on the reviews in Tomshardware.com, and they seem to have been right on all counts: Fantastic performance, lightweight, great battery. The only disappointment so far is the keyboard backlighting, which frankly, barely qualifies as backlighting at all. Other than that, I'm super psyched on this new addition to the household!

Great laptop, fast and amazing graphics. It came with a free game-Outriders- its a good game however the computer heats up pretty quickly so i cant play for long periods of time.

This is the version of the Zephyrus G14 (Model GA401IH-BR7N2BL) with the inferior GPU that struggles with demaind games today. For $100 more you can get the version (Model GA401IUBS76) with the GTX 1660Ti which is nearly twice as fast for gaming. Additionally it has another 8GB of memory (for a total of 16) which is definitely something this model is lacking. For $250 more you can get the silver version with Ryzen 9 instead of Ryzen 7, a 2060 max-q and 1TB of SSD instead of 512GB. I think the extra space and overall specs are worth this upgrade, but the downside is that the $1450 msrp model (GA401IV-BR9N6) is silver instead of gray. The Zephyrus G14 is a great laptop overall, but don't skimp out on $100 here, you're losing a huge amount of performance for a minimal savings.

Perfect for someone getting into gaming. It has all the tech nerd capabilities such as monitoring and adjusting settings for the GPU and CPU as well as display refresh rates, etc. It's also plenty capable to run any game you can think of.

Great computer! have not ran into any issues yet when running Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time working on 1GB+ files! Spectacular. Honestly. I have not even upgraded the RAM yet.

Nice laptop for light games if you use it as a laptop. I wanted to use it as a desktop replacement with a dock primarily but be able to grab it and go when needed. Cons, HDMI connected to external monitor will always come on in the resolution of the laptop. DP comes on in external monitor gives correct resolution but when computer sleeps it sends some sort of signal that keeps waking my monitor up. Last con is even with a 100w PD3.0 power it doesn't give the same performance as with the external brick plugged in.

This bad review is for Best Buy and not the actual laptop. I found one in their open box listing as being in Excellent condition, so I went down and bought it because the price was GREAT. When I finally got around to setting it up, I noticed it wouldn't sit level on my desk and upon closer inspection found that it had been dropped and damaged, bending the case. Obviously this is NOT 'Excellent' condition. And I appear to be stuck with it since their 15 day return policy has passed before I noticed the damage. The laptop works fine and there doesn't appear to be any problems other than it not sitting flat and level... So at least there's that I guess... I'm extremely unhappy with the deception in the listing and failure to disclose the damage prior to purchasing though.
