I use it as a gaming desktop/laptop. Have it plugged into a 32 inch lg ultragear ips 165 hertz monitor via usb c to display port. Do not use the thunderbolt port so you get gsync on your external monitor. Works awesome. Very happy with it as a gaming machine. Plays all games without issue.

I make music and the 8 core intel cpu does well. Also the screen is awesome. The aspect ratio adds so much to the build. It is a 16 inch screen in a 15 inch form factor which allows it to be as good as it is.

I bought a 4k monitor and a stick of 32gb ddr4. I wish I could replace the mounted ram, but I'm happy with the purchase nonetheless and it's not worth docking a point for. A laptop fan is almost a must if youre gaming at high end specs.
