Works well for 300 Mbps upload / 300 Mbps download

Speed tests show that my Wifi speed using this router is below 300/300 but still sufficient for streaming and gaming.

My ISP promised 400 mbps speeds, which this router advertised as supported. I was never able to get over 100 mbps, often much lower than that. Performance was terrible overall with frequent buffering. Purchased a TP-Link router instead and there is a night and day difference. Avoid ASUS at all costs.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this to replace a 8 year old DLink router that was causing wifi speed bootleneck due to age of the router. my ISP offered 200 mbps however the dlink only supported 100 mbps. i bought this ASUS router considering it supported 300mbps connections, however after replacing the most i could get from this is 150 mbps. i did reset and troubleshoot this with my isp who confirmed that router was throttling the speed. returned and bought a TPLink router priced similarly and whoa-la i have 300 mbps speed.
