Great for Gigabit internet and Gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The range is everything to look out for with this router. Asus software is as recognizable as it has always been so ease of use was superb. Gaming QoS and Streaming bottleneck is non existent on my end. Of course I run a gigabit plan for full home coverage of about 20 devices. For the price it is decent and worth every cent. Will be buying the ax6000 when the opportunity arises.

Great Entry level Wifi 6 Router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in need of a faster wireless router since everything recently became remote. I also wanted a router that would last or keep up with next gen WiFi, so that meant I needed WiFi 6. I pay for 150 Mbps internet, and this router gets me pretty close to that speed with an average of 130 Mbps. The router does stop working sometimes if I’m gaming or using lots of bandwidth for long duration of time. It takes about 5-10 minutes for the router to start working again even after a power cycle and reboot.

Wifi 6 Value!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose this router after having some network disconnection problems with both Linksys and TP Link routers that I tried. I have since traced the disconnection issues to my ISP modem and simply having the ISP (Spectrum) send me an automated reset signal (as opposed to the tried and true power cycle) seems to have solved the issue. I'm keeping the ASUS AX3000 for 3 reasons over the other brands. The ASUS router software interface is just better and the firmware support lasts longer, the ability to create a mesh network if I so desire, and wi-fi 6 multi-device capabilities (I have a lot of IoT devices). That said I did have to do some tweaking of the network settings because some of the wifi 6 settings were not playing nice with my some of my older devices. Agile Multi-banding and Protected Management Frames were causing compatibility issues (also IGMP snooping to a lesser extent). My final point is this is a solid router and a great solution for my needs (and probably yours as well). There are more changes coming down the road in consumer wifi devices and routers but I expect to get 3-5 years or more out of this router which gives it top marks for value at this time.

Great replacement for an older model
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My house was recently hit by lightening which fried most of the electronic items in the house regardless of surge protectors. I purchased this router to replace a netgear ac1750. We saw noticeable gains in speed and signal strength. Happy with the purchase and ease of setup for a non-tech person.

Works perfectly
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a unit from another manufacturer that had an intermittent wi-fi radio. This unit was a little different, as it did not split the 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless into two separate sections, meaning one router ID shows up on devices rather than two, and I am guessing the router selects the highest speed connection. This has caused no issues and my 2.4 devices connected fine, and all the devices with either all connected at 5. The range was slightly farther than previous unit. A working connection can be maintained at a neighbors two houses down the street on the phones. Setup is simple, and the built in web portal makes adjusting just about anything quick and easy. I do not have any 802.11AX devices yet to connect to it, so cannot report on speeds or anything the new protocol supplies.

ASUS Router
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from an older Linksys router and so far have not had any issues with the ASUS router. At the time of writing this review, I have owned this router for over 6 months. This router delivers a good Wi-Fi range and fast speeds.

Great replacement for my ATT router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have ATT fiber and was completely sick of their supplied Pace modem/router. It runs low on memory/resources because there is no true bypass and it analyzes EVERY packet that goes thru it. Plus you can't tweak any useful settings. After digging around I figured out how to use this Asus with a dumb 5 port Netgear switch and put my old router in the corner. The amount of tweakable items on this is amazing. It also fixed some weird inbound NAT issues i was having on my IP cameras (probably because the old router had resource issues) The WiFi signal, unsurprisingly was way better than the ATT one as this has 4 MIMO antennas. I can't believe I waited so long to replace that old stinky router..now I'm thinking of putting Merlin firmware on it to tweak even more settings.

Works great and provides fast wireless speed
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this Asus RT-AX58U router for over 6 months. It provides a reliable network connection to my entire small house. WiFi 6 provides great throughput for all my wireless devices. This router seldom requires a reboot to operate properly, which is definitely a change from the previous Netgear routers I've owned.

Replaced my old wirh this
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great. I had no idea a router could go bad, and still work. My old router would download incredibly slow. I bought this, and was downloading at 180 instead of 10-20. The app you download with it is also great. Would recommend

Solid performance, with few issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does have a problem with having too many devices on at once, but it's performance otherwise is fantastic! I would recommend having an AiMesh compatible with this router to boss performance in a large house. It's fast and the Wi-Fi 6 capability ensures future proofing. Would recommend highly of you have a small building.

Great future tech router
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded to AX (WiFi 6) even though all of our devices do not utilize it yet. Our Galaxy phones connect using AX as well as our newer laptops. Also, our PS5 uses WiFi6 although we have it hardwired LAN direct. Appreciate how AX tech uses both 2.4 & 5GHz frequencies at the same time to deliver the best combo between speed and penetration. It also uses WPA3 Network Security and Bluetooth 5. The AX3000 also uses USB 3.0 so using this router as a Media Hub or backup device is at higher speeds than USB 2.0. [You can share movies/files over a connected hard drive, or having a backup storage that all your devices can access and save data to.] The router UI is web-based and/or app based so you can access from a web browser or smartphone - it is user friendly and ASUS offers easy to follow support through FAQs and forums. Be sure to upgrade your ethernet cables to CAT-8 and storage device cables to USB 3.0+ to benefit more fully from the power of this router.

Great product for extending wifi for work at home
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously purchased a cheaper wifi6 router online thinking it didnt matter. I constantly go disconnected and the cheaper router overheated. This Asus router is a life saver as i work from home and cant afford to get disconnected. The speed of this router is amazing and the phone app is extremely useful. Highly recommended.

10/10 Would recommend!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've been running this for 2 months now and it's worked flawlessly. Setup was super easy. I love that I can rename all my devices so I can tell what's what. We're currently running 28 total devices on it with no issues whatsoever. I'm sure there are people out there running more, but I'm confident this is way more than the average user. The range on it also is way better than what we had before. Pro tip - Download the app and connect your devices one at a time so you can rename them in the app as you go. Otherwise, you're going to end up with the serial numbers listed in your connected devices and spend a whole lot of time trying to figure out what's what!

Wow, better than I expected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Router; coming from a Linksys router, I would say this router is far superior. The ease of use is good, and the app is ok- definitely better than other brands I’ve used in the past. It’s small so it doesn’t take up much space. The range is better than my previous router, my previous Linksys router was twice the price I paid for this Asus router.
