It gave me the full 100mb I pay my provider. Insane fast, If you want this for ps5 or pc gaming , no router will give you full the full performance, you need to wire your ps5 or pc.

I teach networking. Wi-Fi6 (and 6E) are emerging still, as the FCC tries to obtain more channels from the ISM band for general-public Wi-Fi use (all the way from 5.0 thru 7.5GHz, with hundreds of bondable channels!). 6E is better than 6 in this regard, but right now, just getting an affordable 802.11ax router is hard. I have quite a few consumer and carrier-grade AP's at my place, and decided to put this little Asus AX3000 up against them. I had an older Asus 802.11ac (wave 1) which I loved, although it finally gave-up to power surges in "lightning-alley" where I live. Short version: it's awesome. I only have 300Mbps on my DOCSIS and 180Mbps on my VDSL2+, but the WIRELESS speeds max at my ISPs' download speeds! (up to 30' away). I only have 1,500 sq ft, so cannot put distance to a further test, but this thing is right-up there with my other wireless AP's. It won't have the same coverage as a 3-node Wi-Fi6 system, but the 4 MIMO antennas will beamform and add/divide between different devices very well. I can actually see my SSID 150' away in my car. You mileage WILL vary, but this is an excellent performance-price point balance. Remember: put all your Wi-Fi6 devices on one SSID, pref the 5G radio, and get all your slow devices on the slower, more crowded 2.4G radio (or ideally, off of Wi-Fi...you're system is only as fast as your slowest device...think printers, wireless door bells, old computers, old TVs, etc etc etc).

I got this router to replace the lower quality equipment spectrum provided. Not only did it boost the internet, but it also has a better appearance! If you have some issues with your internet connection and are on the fence, do it! You won’t regret it!

I bought this router for my stepson for his new place. The coverage was very good. There were no dead spots in and wifi speed stayed steady.

We replaced a Netgear router with this ASUS AX300. Much better! Setup instructions were clear; my wife and I were able to figure it out and get it up and running in about 15 minutes. Upload and download speeds much faster. Good coverage throughout the house with no obvious loss of speed when multiple devices are being used. Very pleased.

Purchased this router as a way to take advantage of the increased speeds of AX technology and I’m totally impressed thus far. I can see no difference between WiFi connection speed and my Ethernet connection during online gaming. I also have the fastest internet speed available from my ISP 1G.

Since upgrading to this wireless router, my speed has been very fast. The setup was very easy.

We recently upgraded to 400 mbits/s through Spectrum and I thought I'd upgrade our router since our old one was at least 4 years old and I wanted to take advantage of Wifi 6. On initial setup everything was fine and we were seeing 380 mbits/s down and 20 mbits/s up but I slowly realized as I switched our devices over to the new Wifi network things weren't working as well as they used to. Mainly on older devices I was seeing a lot of trouble connecting to both the 5ghz and 2.4ghz spectrum and would get random drop outs on a consistent basis. I spent hours in the ASUS router settings fiddling with different settings to try and get things stable again. It's been hugely frustrating. I would say unless you have a house full of Wifi 6 devices don't buy this yet. Older devices aren't well supported.

I recently bought this router when my NetGear R7000 started dropping wifi. Setup was a breeze out of the box, plus there are advanced security features you can set if you want. To be honest, the wifi coverage isn't quite as good as the Netgear, but I'm sure placement of the unit will have an effect. I plan to move it to a more central place in the house. Overall, a good choice in routers for the price. Would recommend
