Very pleased with the performance of this router and the range of coverage in my home

The device is great, but I do have a comment about the purchasing experience at the Best Buy store on Broadway and Houston St. in Manhattan (New York City). I had a technical question I wanted answered before buying, but when I asked for someone to help me with that (e.g. a Geek Squad member) I was told (after waiting quite a while) that they had all left for the day. Fair enough (it was late) but then when I went to the cashier, I spotted someone with a Geek Squad shirt still there and helping another customer. Apparently there was no communication between the 'regular' staff and the Geek Squad, which would have saved me quite a bit of time. As it turned out, the answer he eventually gave to my question was only partially correct, though it probably would not have changed my purchasing decision (I would have bought it anyway) even if he had been more accurate. Anyway, the ASUS device meets my needs, and I'm impressed with the extensive native configuration options - no need to flash different firmware (such as dd-WRT) because the ASUS software gives me access to everything I need to adjust.

Everything is well with this wireless router. I been using it with no problem. installation was easy.

Router works great. Replaced my aging router and saw my download speeds increase dramatically. Streaming movies no longer paused to buffer, even 4K titles. Very easy to set up and get all devices connected. No longer needed range extender for downstairs man cave. Almost bought more expensive router thinking I needed the extra capacity. So glad I saved the money and got this high quality router.

Great wifi throughout my house and it is much faster than the router I had before.

Has great range and features. I set up two as a mesh system and it works great. Can use wireless or wired back haul, I used wireless for months before I was able to setup wired and it worked without issue. You can even setup 3 different guest networks each with different settings if you're into that.

And this high-tech digital age with more and more products using wireless Internet, I needed a new wireless router. Apparently my old wireless router was being bogged down by so many devices connected to it. The Best Buy tech expert showed me this one. Not only does it have good reviews, but it’s the it’s the one that was in his house. That’s all I needed to be convinced. Set up was easy and it works great.

Bottom line: Great value for smaller homes and/or those with only 1 or 2 people/devices competing for bandwidth at any given time. However, one caveat: I can't vouch for the WiFi 6 performance as I don't have any compatible devices. I upgraded from an older Asus NG router that lasted 7 years and it was still going strong. But I upgraded my home internet speed and the old router simply wasn't fast enough. This was the sweet spot for me as I live alone but I have 10 devices connected, albeit only 1 or 2 in heavy use at a time. This router handles my needs with plenty to spare. I regularly check my internet speed and I consistently get close to my quoted 400 mbps down and right at my 20 mbps up. That's from anywhere in my home which is not big but there are a couple of floors. Since it's a townhouse I also have many competing routers within a couple of hundred feet. Moving on, the Asus interface is a bit divisive: either you love it or you hate it. I love it, I find it very easy to use whether you want to "set it and forget it" you want to delve deeper into the settings and monitoring. The security software is a nice value-add and it's also easy to configure. Add in a small footprint that looks sleek and isn't obnoxious like some others, frequent firmware updates, and Asus' track record of releasing them for several years even after the product is EOL, this is an easy decision. If you're considering it, just get it.

Used this to replace my rented Cable router. Was easy to set up and the range is good. Thought I would have gotten a bit more range from it. No big complaints though.

So far so good. Stuck with ASUS because I love their app. Easy set up and good range.

Works very well. Doesn't drop signal randomly like my last one. Also very easy to install

Got this when my other one i had quit working. I wanted something that was more powerful and hoped would last longer. Well i can pick up wifi throughout my whole house and anywhere in my yard with this and i have almost an acre.

Easy setup and excellent range. Would buy again. Worked out if box.

Great speeds for all my devices, no lag, sleek. More than enough for my provided speeds.
