I've been using Netgear routers for so many years and it's time for me to explore a different router which is Asus. This Asus router has a non-subscription security feature called the lifetime free AirProtection Pro which is a paid equivalent feature for Netgear. Setting up this router is very easy (I used the web). I noticed that after the set-up, this router has a popular issue (slated in the internet) regarding ISP's DHCP not functioning properly. So, I was searching for answers. I tried power cycle so many times and it didn't work. I went out for lunch and later decided to prepare for packing it back to the box for return, but I tried one last time to power it up. And then all of a sudden, it worked...I got internet connection. It's just weird.

This router works great as a mesh router! I have attached my old ASUS AC1750 router as a node to this router and have greatly improved the coverage for the second floor of our home. The AImesh App on my phone allows me to monitor and manage the mesh network very effectively.

Purchased this router when the wifi 6 functionality was not available. It has since been added via a firmware update. Great range and wireless speeds. Have a gigabit connection, get those speeds with a wired connection. Wireless, approximately 500mbps with good signal. Great all purpose router.

Excellent performance and offers everything I need! Soon Ill have access to Fiber internet and im sure this router can handle the high speeds!

This router performs really well. The asus app has a lot of features and you can customize the app theme. The fact that you get a lot of paid features from competitors for free is great. Great for the advanced user like my self.

Excellent router with wifi6 and ridiculous range in the house

I had an asus AC-3100 for a few years and decided to upgrade to this one . I like the wifi 6 that this router offers. After initial setup on the computer this router required a reboot (unplugged it and then plugged back in) for WiFi to begin workI got properly but after that it’s been working great. WiFi signals are strong and I’m getting the speeds I expect.

I got this to replace a lower capacity ASUS router, and it did not disappoint. Very fast and intuitive app to control it. If you're familiar with managing your ASUS router from your phone, you'll like this router.

So far so good! WiFi is stable and it takes full advantage of our 500mbps speeds. Installation and setup were quite easy (I used the ASUS router app). Would recommend

I had to replace a very old router. After checking around, I selected this router. I wanted a router that could handle streaming content to my tv's while handling internet for my computers. This fits the bill and ASUS has a great reputation for building quality products. It was easy to set up and I had it running very quickly.

Switched from Netgear and have not looked back. I credit an in-store associate for helping me make the final decision on this one. The coverage is good. I have had very few problems with it. The mobile app is pretty good for taking care of it; I like not having to log in from my PC to administer it. Overall pretty happy with it.

After owning it for about 2 years, I’ve never had an issue with it until a few months ago. Had to reset it for it randomly deciding to not work. Works perfectly fine after reset. But it’s only been a few times. Other than that it’s been a solid router!

I have installed two of these in two different homes withoit any issues. There's no excuse not to have the e latest in networking technology! All new hardware is using Wi-Fi 6 (AX) series to connect to the internet! The range is extended and throughput is amazingly increased! Its almost like being wired in!

This is a great router. Easy to setup. I have it in the attic and it transmits a good strong signal. I am a little surprised since I have had some issues with ASUS gear lately.

Definitely easy to set up. Great app. I have this in a bedroom, love that you can go through the app and shut off the LED indicators so they aren’t flickering through the night.

Great product. Using this as an AImesh client node, connected to a Asus RT-AX92U via backhaul (wired) wan cable. Setting up the AImesh was confusing, be sure to disconnect the backhaul wan cable right before adding the node.

I bought this router after having previously bought an Asus router that I was very impressed by and still use. I bought it for two specific features, the Asus AiMesh range extension and VPN features. Our internet comes into the basement of a big house and the signal struggles to reach some rooms on the 2nd floor. The AiMesh completely fixes this and couldn’t have been easier to setup. The other feature I needed was VPN connectivity for the whole network. This is a pretty niche feature that most people don’t need, but something I need to have while traveling abroad. The router also supports creating a VPN server for connection into your home network while not at home. Not something I thought I’d need, but actually very helpful.

This AX Router does the job. I try distance up to 40 meters and there is no disconnect. Connectivity is stable in my 2000sq ft house and set up was easy. It was pretty straight forward to set up and automatic firmware was a breeze. Warning that some of the built-in software require them to monitor your traffic and send data to them.
