Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The reason this only gets 3 stars is because of the difficulty to use and the fact that it randomly cuts out internet which makes me reset my cameras for my security system and my front door lock which is a pain in the butt. Once it is setup it is nearly impossible to get back into it without doing a hard reset and changing your login info as it makes you use a different login and pw to get into the control center of the router. Other than that it works great and covers the space needed (1400 sq ft.).

Great Router Mesh System

I thought I would have to install a directional antenna but this connected with my other Asus routers and handles the distance, 100' +, very well.

If you're home has between 6-10 rooms, average 2000 square feet, and you have less than 25 devices, this router will work for you just fine. You can game on this router also, if you have gaming consoles like Xbox, Switch, or PlayStation. Good connection range, good performance, future proof with WiFi 6, dual band, so you can capture either 2.4 or 5ghz. The mobile app to control the router is exceptional. And it's AIMesh compatible meaning if you have dead spots, you can expand with a second Asus router.

I loaded it with Merlin (not necessary, but I’m a tinkerer) and am using it in place of the ATT gateway for Fiber. WiFi is fast and stable.

Figured I'd try another ASUS product and was not disappointed. Easy setup, better coverage (previous router was AC2350) and faster. Can't ask for more. Oh, and bonus, was slightly better price than my old router. Have 35 devices (several Nest products, Ring doorbell, full streaming for TV and movies) and it hasn't skipped a beat in about 2 weeks usage.
