Most of my equipment is ac. This router handles all the current codecs. I was having issues with me tv not working over wifi. When I added this router with ac it started working over wifi. I have also noted that the through put from this new router is very good. It doubled my wifi throughput. The only think I am having issues with is the VPN. It simply will not connect well with my samsung devices. Windows does connect to the VPN. So, it isn't really router per se. Would I suggest this router. Yes. It was a very good upgrade at a reasonable price.
