    Spectrum Router replacement

The router Spectrum provided kept dropping WiFi intermittently. Just enough spikes to interrupt streaming shows and gaming sessions. The 5G range was also crap and the 2G was too slow to reliably stream our doorbell camera at a moments notice. This A3000 router fixed all that and more. The 192.168.1.1 router settings page is a little more complicated but legible enough to learn if you take the time to read what each setting does, the 5G band services our whole home through walls and electronics easily, 2G band shows our doorbell when we need it to in 1080p, no lag spikes even with our 13 devices connected at a time, and easy on-off switch at the back for fast resets if needed

Good value for an AX router

I bought two of these to create a Mesh network in my 3-story 2,100 square foot home (and old house with thick walls). I've now got great coverage on all 3 floors with one placed on the ground floor and one on the top floor and an ethernet backhaul. I've got Gigabit internet service from Comcast and have around 25 devices working off these two routers, most on WiFi, but some on ethernet and have had no lag issues. I tried to do the same with a less-expensive Linksys router (Max-Stream AX1800 Model No. 7350), but it didn't provide a strong enough signal throughout the house, so it was definitely worth spending a few extra bucks for these routers to have a relatively affordable AX system.

This router is easy to setup and super fast. It has been online for a month now with no issues. I live in a 1500 sq ft house with full basement and get good speed everywhere. Would recommend.

Is the new coming up wifi standard. Have had 2 firmware updates since I have had them. Seems to drop signal less now. Bought one then shortly after got a 2nd one to mesh them together because wifi was spotty in some places with one. I have Spectrum internet at 100mbps. Mostly seeing 100mbps even with multiple devices hooked up. Sometimes my Vudu app on Samsung tv can't play a 4K movie but could be tv app.? Like I said is a new wifi standard so maybe some bugs to work out still. Minus 1 star for now....

Very easy to use, allows easy set up for an access point, and has WiFi-6,but isn't restricted to, for future-proofing while still being compatible with things that specifically require 2.4GHz. There is also the added bonus of being able to use it with other Asus routers. I originally bought two Netgear Nighthawk routers with similar specs and loved them I left them in their respective homes when I moved so I needed something new. I was planning to go Netgear again but I have been gradually prioritizing Asus and LG for my personal tech. Plus the Asus is smaller, lighter, and just looks a little cooler compared with Netgear's Nighthawk lineup.

Easy ordering and quick getting through the online service. Got the item on time and had no problems setting it up. Works much better than my old router and was a snap to set up.

Excellent coverage and stable. I love asus routers and this one is no different. I have it setup with other asus AX routers using mesh and it works perfectly. Upgrading firmware is a pain when running in mesh mode because you need to be sure they are all running in same version and each one has to be done independently. I will say that asus is really good about releasing firmware updates on regular basis. I also like the mobile app interface. I can cut my kids off the internet in two clicks and also monitor their bandwidth

This router so far work well and has adequate range to cover most of my 3000 sqft house. The monitoring app works well and provides good insight into the router. No issues were encountered during setup and it has operated reliably so far.

We had to replace our previous aging router and did some research on the Asus AX3000 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Wireless Router and decided to give it a try. It’s been going on a year and we have had no issues. In fact the range is far superior to our previous router, no buffering issues while streaming and having various other devices running simultaneously and the price was right. Overall very satisfied with this router. So much in fact we are purchasing another to create a mesh network and expand our Wi-Fi reach to our back yard.

Had to upgrade router and decided to go with Asus instead of Netgear. We currently had a Netgear, which did do us well, but the Asus is an upgrade. Range has been very good for our 2000 SQFT house. With the router on the main level we can reach basement and upstairs without issue. We even have good range on the patio outside. We have had for a month now and no issues with dropping or spotty coverage. Is nice to know that I’m already prepared for AX band when updating phones/equipment in near future. I also like the software features to help maintain, protect and even decide what can be accessed through the router. Makes it easier to help protect my family.

This router has lots of features and settings. I'm using it in a small apartment around 900 sqft so I can't really give a review to compare it to a larger house. When I first bought it, I had major issues with slowdowns, disconnections and speed. I changed some settings and it slightly improved but still had major issues until the point that I lost all connection. It turns out the cat 6 cable included was bad. It was kind of annoying but cables are cheap and after replacing, I have had very few issues and quick DL and UL speeds compared to the AT&T router provided to me. The only thing I disliked is that it's dual-band but I knew this buying it and it works fine in my living situation.

Fast, affordable and the range is perfect for our usage. It's acting as our main router, with a second ASUS router connected via Ethernet cable. ASUS's AIMesh tech means we can move around our house and it seamlessly passes our devices from one router to the other, with the same SSID. It's really nice, after having a second router as a repeater with a different SSID, which was a huge pain.

I'm never one to adopt a technology super quick. This replaced an older Linksys wrt1900 that couldn't sustain my internet speeds. I waited a little bit for the firmware to fix the kinks . I did have an initial problem with my wife's iPhone not connecting to the network, or losing the network, but once I got the latest firmware to the router, it went away. I have a 2200 square foot home and this covers my home perfectly without any issues. I also have plaster which is a natural wireless barrier and I still have great speeds.

I thought my previous wireless router was great until it died and I got this one... where have you been all my life, Asus AX58U??? I never imagined I could have so many in-depth monitoring and control features for such a fair price. And the power, range, and speed (both wireless and wired) are exceptional; far better than what I've always thought was good. *Asus is extending my warranty an extra 3 months for writing any review at all, but the above is my honest opinion and what I came here to write anyway because I am so blown away by this router.

I was having constant connection issues with my previous two Netgear routers and my wireless Sonos speakers. I bought this hoping another brand would be the fix - still had problems. Went online and found the settings I needed to change and now it works perfectly- now I’m loving my Sonos sound system again! This router has excellent range, handles all my devices just fine - iPhones/iPads, computers, TV’s (fixed the steaming services buffering), cameras, sprinklers and of course my Sonos. Speeds are almost the same as when wired directly to the router. So far loving it, would definitely recommend it.
