Been having nothing but problems with the WiFi constantly disconnecting no Matter which settings I use (2.4 or 5G. You also must use cat 6,7 or 8 Ethernet cables if you hard wire the system. If you use cat 5 Ethernet cables you will also have intermittent connectivity issues.

Fast Router, Cannot Figure Out Disconnections

Was disconnecting my 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz connected devices every day and still cannot figure out why. Could be due to voltage fluctuations in my home, but somehow my verizon G3100 router holds connections stable. Would have given more stars due to how fast this router is, all the gaming features and the VPN features. I had to return it. The LED light was cool.

I was looking forward to this device. However, I simply did not get the performance I expected from this device. I have a gigabit router and internet, yet I only gained 80 more MBPS from my previous router, which is not worth it. Also, I was never able to connect my WIFI extender to it and my SONOS system also had conflicts with it. I am returning this unit.

Love it so far. Currently getting upwards of 750mbps wired into consoles. (I am paying for 1gig service) RGB lighting customization is easy and very attractive. No issues so far. Wish it was Tri-band but it’s understandable for this price range.

This is a very nice router, with lots of great features, and it doesn't just look great, it also performs great. I have gigabit internet, but my old router just wasn't able to keep up. Since I installed the Asus Ax5400 my upload and download speeds more than quadrupled. I would definitely recommend this router.

I got this router to cover my whole house with Wifi signal and it actually did it! The signal spans so far and wide it spans from one corner of the house where I set it all the way to the other, and the house is about 7000 ft2 to give an idea.

My router died and replaced it temporarily with a $70 TP-Link which has dropout issues. I have over time used all the major brands of routers except for Asus, so after reading all the great reviews, I was excited to give this router a try. Upon setup, my two desktops, my laptop, phone and I-pad all connected. Then the fun began. None of my echo products would connect. Found a workaround on the net of putting them on a guest network. It worked, but a dumb solution. My two TVs would not connect to either network nor would my VOIP phone. At this point, I am having way too much fun. Boxing this sucker back up to return. By the way, I compared the range and speed of this unit with my cheap TP-Link, the speed was marginally better, but the TP-Link has better range.

We had added a couple of exterior wi-fi cameras and this fit the bill for the extra distance coverage we needed. My son is an IT guy and he searched thru a number of different makes and chose this model. I agreed.

Powehouse router with tons of features. My only gripe is that it does not work well when you try to configure a VPN on the actual device. With VPN on, speed drops from 400-500mb to barely 25-30mb and ping is high.

Seems to be working fine. Can't really tell if it is any faster, but works good. Like other asus routers it will some times drop the internet connection for no reason, then it comes back. Not often, but it does drop internet. Otherwise so far so good.

Considered a budget router, but it has been comparatively phenomenal. I was just using a the combo modem/router compatible with my ISP. The wireless speeds were abysmal. I upgraded to this and my wireless speeds are matching what I'm actually paying for now.

This new Asus router replaces one that was eight year old. It was recommended to me instead of a Mesh network - and I have to say its lived up to my expectations. Best of all, I no longer get the 'your network is unstable' message while on Zoom calls. That alone was worth the price!

We have midcentury fiber. We have the 250 mbps plan. We were only getting 80 - 110 mbps with their router. This one was recommended to us by a best buy employee. After hooking it up, we were getting 148.88 - 186.30 mbps.

I used to be a Netgear only person. Bought a $300 netgear router and it died on me after 1.5 years. It just sat there! This is such a better build and honestly, I must have to reset it every 3 months or so — which is nothing. Only thing I don't like is how you have to share your data with third parties to enter gaming mode. That's sketch. So I took off a star. Still recommend.
