We had much faster speeds on our gaming consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. However, all of our Rokus had trouble connecting and some of our smart home devices kept disconnecting. It was nice to have super fast gaming speeds, but hardly worth it when you can't use smart lights or streaming devices. Perhaps ours was defective. Either way, this was the first and likely the last Asus router I will ever buy.

I read the reviews, and decided that this was going to be a suitable replacement. I definitely have not been disappointed so far.

I find that the speed is not as fast as my other router and the distance is about the same. Need to go into the settings and try changing them to see if I can increase the overall speed.

A required info was not in the box or on the item. Also, my current system has a combined modem/router. The instructions were not helpful in how to turn off the router portion of the combined modem/router.

It’s likely more overpowered for my uses but better to have excess capacity rather than too little. The ability to prioritize through QOS is very nice.

I was hoping this would be able to handle the load but it became very unstable with many drops. If you can move up to the AX-86U or the AX-88U you'll probably have a much better experience. Better yet the AX-11000 is probably the single router to beat. ASUS makes really good routers and the ability to make them a mesh network just by adding another router is really a killer app. The 82U would make a great mesh add on if you have an existing setup already.

This is why I buy Asus anything really. If it was made of metal laptop type shell casing that would make it a display piece.

Was also able to channel-bond with no issues, unlike my last Linksys which crashed when I attempted to bond at 160MHz.

I spent almost 200$ just for this to slow down my internet. Don’t waste your money because this router is a waste of money and time

Great router for the money

I have e a lot of smart devices and this one for the most part is handling it. Sometimes it gets bogged down but rebooting it usually solves the problem
