I have 17 devices that are Wifi 6 capable, and none of them work properly on the 5 Ghz network. Only the 2.4 Ghz network seems functional. Of the devices that did connect to 5 Ghz, that were Wifi 6 capable, the performance was very poor, even 5 to 10 feet away from the router with no obstructions. Normally I do like and recommend Asus products, it is too bad I appear to have a defective one. When I switched back to my old router that I was replacing/upgrading from (TPLink Archer 2300 - AC2300) None of my devices were having issues. I'm sure if I had gotten a non-defective unit, my results would have been much better.

Please allow us to make your experience with ASUS a better one. We would recommend that you try changing the channel bandwidth of each band of 2.4 GHz to 20 MHz, and for 5GHz please select 60MHz. Test each of the channels first for improved stability. You can also do the speed test for each. I have a 800 sqft home and the signal was great in the house. The 5g signal dropped off abruptly just off the back porch less than 50 ft from the router. The 2.4g signal was very spotty. I was only getting about 2gb per second download in my detached garage less than 100ft from router. I returned the asus router and when back to my older AC router that worked.
