Returned and got the netgear nighthawk. This one was horrible for us.

Upgraded from a few year old Netgear... Speed: We pay for 200Mbps through Spectrum and on our Netgear router we'd get anywhere from 130-160Mbps on 5Ghz. After installing this router we're getting 230-250Mbps. I expected a bump, I didn't expect this much more speed than I'm even paying for. Range: Our house is wired into a corner of the house so I wanted to get a router to cover it all rather than mesh. We have about 2400 square feet in a one story house. On the 5GHz band I can go to the opposite corner of the house and still have an 85% signal strength and virtually the same speeds. I have to go to my mailbox at the end of the driveway to see a drop, where I'm getting ~180Mbps. Unless you live in a castle this thing has you covered. Should you buy? If it's in your budget absolutely.

Could not handle zoom meeting over WiFi on MacBook Pro.

Love it, easy to set up, better range than my older one, ability to prioritize streaming and my wifes online classes over my gaming (so I dont get divorced), 5 stars

Great Router for the price. Range is great and maintains speeds. Easy to use and setup especially for user with gig internet super fast for the next years to come!

It was easy to install but hard to get it to work. Had to keep adjusting antenna and moving the base into the window to get it to project out to our garage which isn't attached to the house.

I purchased this 2 & a half years ago. The speeds are blazing fast and the setup is simple and easy to monitor. However, it would overheat and after a little over 2 years of use, it has only gotten worse. Since it's no longer in warranty, I popped it open to see if maybe it had accumulated dust. It was spotless on the inside. As clean as the day I bought it. Upon a little digging, I started to come across quite a few threads discussing the poor thermal paste and constant overheating issues. I popped the heat sinks off and low and behold, the thermal pads weren't even making full contact. I'm now torn. Do I roll the dice and buy it again in hopes that the next one is assembled better? I loved everything about this router besides it going out due to improper assembly.

I was kinda in doubt at first cause my internet was really bad and this boosted it. Me without using the cable still really works and i love it

I don't know enough about routers to speak on its pro's and cons.but its h huge improvement over the 12 yr old unit it replaced. I had one laptop which couldn't see the router let along connect. I believe it was a failing network card. I purchased an inexpensive Asus USB plugin network adapter. Being that the laptop and router of 6 ft apart, all is working fine. There have been no issues with 9 other devices which connect to wifi. So all in all am content with my purchase so far, however its really too soon to tell

I bought this router at Best Buy to replace my 3 year old Linksys gigabyte router that was not achieving its expected ethernet or wifi speeds on a 1 gigabyte Verizon FIOS connection. After installing the ASUS router, I now get 935mbps download speeds on ethernet and between 450 to 510mbps download speeds via wifi. This one router covers my 2000 square foot house. This is the best wifi router I have ever owned. It was very easy to set up.

Easy setup and knows about MacOS. Extensive menu to customize as needed.

I have had this for years, it has not given and problems and works very well
