This was a great router for 3 years. Never had any issues with the WiFi signal. Web UI was great and managing port forwarding and VPN rules was easy. Unfortunately after 3 years the Ethernet ports started to go out. Highly recommend oicking up Best Buy's warranty if yoy buy this router.

The router rocks! Fast, fast, fast. With fiberoptic was told I'd get 500 up and down, got better than that! Love the slow, blinking lights. Metronet employee fell in love with it when he installed our fiberoptic cable. Love the software, easy to deal with and like the option to see who's connected at any time. Ain't the newest, but certainly one of the best.

I have been looking around for a router for a while now and originally went with a NetGear Router but unfortunately it had slow ethernet speeds, I then found this ASUS router and it fixed every problem the netgear had. I am able to confirm this router works perfectly with spectrum 400 Mbps internet and it will more than likely work well with higher speeds.

I'm really happy with the purchase of this router....both because of it's features, speed, and the many security security options it makes available. It turned out to be a really good choice from all the routers available at this time. Would highly recommend.

On paper, this is an outstanding router. And when it works, it works quite well. However, do a quick scan for this model losing connectivity and you'll find numerous forum posts from the past few years (including 2023) of people facing issues. I bought this new, configured it but then had to return due to constant drop-outs of both internet and wifi signal.

I would like to give this router a negative 10, but that is not available. There is NO tech support available for this router. Tech support is based in the Philippines, not US. They don't know how to diagnose or trouble shoot a problem. They only have a sheet of paper with instructions for what to do. Last resort is that they tell you to turn the router off and back on. That doesn't fix the problem, only hides it for a little while. There are no viable diagnostics or error reporting. This router is a piece of (!@#$%^&*) junk !!!!!!!!!

Drops connection and reboots 20 times a day. Nothing like watching sports then having red robot eyes blinking at you constantly. Will not update firmware, gets to 99% then fails every time. Tried to do the manual upload, but it's a 20-step process that I must be doing wrong. The how-to page is from 12/2023, and their website has clearly change since then.

Worked well when it worked. Just died after 2.5 years.

Nice router, easy setup. Plenty of features if you need them. Good wifi range. 2200 sq ft house single story. Nice list of connected devices in the first page with signal strength.

I bought this after reviewing tech magizines for its quality and price. Product is doing what is says it would do and the price was lower than all other stores. Product delivered as promised.

Seems to handle what we can throw at it. Husband is the game player and my uses are of the work and communication type.

I purchased an older house (90 year old) last year and it's been tough getting quality wifi throughout. I have an ASUS RT-AX88U as my main router and an older Asus router in my office connected with CAT7. I also have 2 other branded access points. I still had horrible issues. I have about 60 wireless devices from appliances to cameras, doorbells, computers, locks, light switches everything is smart and struggling. I purchased this and took down my 2 other access points wireless to use them just as repeater for wired devices on them. My wifi, so far with my 2 Asus routers using aimesh and ethernet backbone is working extremely well.

Worked great for about 8 months, then the wifi started being spotty. Now, a little over a year later, the 2.4 ghz drops constantly and most of our smart home stuff won't stay connected because of that. The range also isn't nearly as good as it claims. My office is two walls and about 30ft from the router and the connection and speed are poor.

Exceeded expectations. Went from 50Mbps to 425Mbps. Changed from a 2 yr old orbi.

It is good for my gaming and gives me the best internet speed of the 200mbps to 500mbps
