    Great at first!!

    First year was amazing, started dropping internet periodically. After trouble shooting the problem turns out it was this router. However we did but the exact same again. Hopefully last longer then a year

      All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections, and are built to last, this is a random problem. To resolve the issue, please update the firmware if the router is running with an older version. Also, check that internet service is working properly and stable. If these steps were already performed to no avail, we recommend that you send the product in for service in order to determine if this is a hardware issue so this may be resolved immediately.     Beats Nighthawk Pro Gaming Cleanly

    Customer service agent was a little condescending but made a solid recommendation for our router. Overall happy with the purchase and the product. In store service experience could be a 3/10 though

    Poor range

    Poor range. I did a speed test with my old router in several places around my house and one about 3 feet directly in front of it. After hooking up the new one and performing the same speed test I returned the new one. The signal loss was so bad I decided just to keep the old one which is about 5 years old.

    Stopped working properly

    Bought one in mid-July 2023, died on me a week later. Sent it to ASUS as an RMA, 3 weeks and they haven't replaced it. Worst router and worst customer service ever. Avoid. Junk.

    Your specification of this product states that this is a Modem/router combo. It is just a router. The DSL-AX82U is the modem router combo.

    Firmware is filled with BUGS!

    I'm not sure if this is a good router the firmware is filled with bugs and it constantly disconnects. A piece of hardware is only good as the software running it and ASUS fail miserably in the front. Finding solutions for these bugs will be fruitless because there are dozens of forum posts about these problems but not a single one will work. You'll be troubleshooting this thing for days and soon realize it will never work properly. ISP blames router. ASUS blames ISP.

    Don't Buy

    I bought this to replace a Linksys router. Big mistake, this device has a limit on how many guest users you can have connected at a time (6) and it was suppose to cover 3000 square ft. It's struggling with 2400 sqr ft. It just sucks and I do not recommend it.
