This router is very fast and thus far seems to maintain a very reliable wireless connection. The range WIFI range is good. I have about a 2,800 sg.ft. house and I can get good signal in all rooms but not much on the patio. The reason for the four star review is the phone app. I find the app is hard to navigate and I can't get it to work at all outside the home. I thought the apps were intended for remote access.

Really easy to set up and use the app has the rgb and can prioritize whether ur surfing or gaming or streaming.

This review is from a technologically knowledgeable but normal home user, not from an expert in wireless technology who require amazing bandwidth for 45 devices. The router was my first wireless router purchase in probably a decade...apparently devices are all fancy now, and can "beam-form". I was using an ATT-fiber-service-provided modem/router combo that they force you to use, and wanted to see if we could get better coverage for outdoor wireless cameras around the property. I can't conclusively say there is better coverage because i didn't measure the difference, but everything seems to working very well so far and my cameras seem to be running out of battery less often (which COULD be partially because they don't have to constantly search so hard for a wifi signal). I don't play games that require a lot of bandwidth, so i can't comment on that. If you don't like the "Aura" lighting, you can customize and change it. For people like me who tend to NOT buy the latest and greatest tech every 2 years but still want to future-proof somewhat, this is one of the most affordable wifi6-enabled routers i've seen. Here's to hoping this carries me through the next 10 years. *WARNING TO ATT FIBER CUSTOMERS: There is apparently no way to "turn off" the wifi router portion of their combo modem/router. Port forwarding through your required modem/router combo will be required to make this router work with their equipment. If you don't know how to do that, call ATT and they should be able to help you (i was actually surprised by how helpful they were).

Upgraded to this router from a NightHawk when all the kids went remote for COVID. We had ZERO issues with 3 kids zooming at the same time. We have multiple devices running at the same time this thing doesn't skip a beat! Very easy to set up, and the Asus app is great.

Easy to setup, loads of functionality, and security.

Bought it to replace a mesh network so I could choose between 2.4GHz and 5GHz. So far, so good. Super easy set-up. Lots of controls through the Asus App. It sits in a corner room of our 2 story house and has no problem covering 2700 sq ft without an extender.

Best Router I've ever owned! I bought this as a replacement for a Netgear gaming router, and it is leaps and bounds better than any Netgear product I've ever owned. I was only getting a little over 80mb dl to any of my connected devices with my Netgear router. I installed this ASUS AX5400 in minutes, and without having to connect a laptop to set up...everything was done with the app, and I was literally up and running in about 10-15 minutes. My dl speed increased on all my devices across the board, and I am now getting anywhere from 220MB - 235MB download on all my devices. I especially like that you can set priority to devices of your preference such as a gaming console, or streaming device. The lights are mainly a novelty, and I leave them off most of the time. I do run them at night though, and they throw off enough light so that I can move around in my bedroom in the dark without having to turn a light on. Great quality, easy to operate, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Love the looks, easy to set up. Speeds better than the Cable companies renter I had. I can monitor the traffic and it blocks sites that are harmfull. Would definitely recommend. Plus I get a great signal everywhere in the house and outside. 3000 sq ft house.

Once set up, it works very well... But those who said it only takes 10-15 mns to set up must be IT specialists.. But for the average 'non-techie' type, I would suggest having an friend who's into this stuff help you out.. Overall, with help from my ISP tech line, it took me about 90 minutes to get this thing matched to my PC and other devices..

Nice router. reasons for purchase was to replace older router and increase coverage. Currently getting strong signal everywhere inside and outside the house. We are in a ranch home with full finished basement. This unit is located under stairs and about in the middle of the floor area (about 2100 sq ft/floor).Recently upgraded internet speed to 600Mbps. Unit is working fine.

Beast wifi router before I was using the google wifi as far as range goes those are good but as far as speeds go I was getting maximum 90mbps. With this new ASUS I’m getting 480mbps more than what I pay for and the range is wow glad I purchased this haven’t lost any connection either it’s a beast.

Easy to setup, outstanding performance, reliable updates from Asus, what more can I say. There are reasons I recommend Asus products to my customers. 1: I use them myself. 2: Asus consistently gives more bang for the buck with well featured products at reasonable and affordable prices.

Amazing! It works absolutely all of the time and I haven’t even touched it in any way since the day I set it up! It’s truly amazingly and couldn’t be any more reliable. I believe Alexander strongly recommended it to me and I thank him all the time for the recommendation.
