Where do I start? Great product that provides amazing fast internet across my whole house, without the need for boosters or extenders. The RGB lighting is an added bonus. Plus easy setup with the app makes this an easy recommendation.

~2 months ownership. It replaced my fiber isp's leased calix router; my service is only 50down/50up as it is all I need. Good-no dropped connections, light adjustability, does a fine job for basic internet stuff, decent with gaming (wired), speedtest. Cons- range is TERRIBLE 5K sq foot home with this in center and doesn't cover even half the house, videos over 720 resolution pixelate and buffer (on a hard wired connection), WILD speed fluctuations, and broadcasting from a phone or computer to tv-forget about it. The isp's calix router was LEAPS and BOUNDS better than this one-it ran FLAWLESS for a year. I would (and am) look for something else. (and i'm not spending hours on phone tech support to "fix" something that should work out of the box). My second and last asus product.

Excellent router, this replaced my netgear r7000. This router has awesome range far better than my netgear had. Handles over 20 connected devices, no lag spikes on the ps5 series x or streaming content.

So I wanted to upgrade my router to take full advantage of my 300+ mbps internet plan and I decided to go with this one. Speeds are well over 300 mbps and its easy to manage. *Please plug in your router and modem into a separate power outlet than the rest of your appliances (TV, soundbar ...) for better speeds. I noticed that my speeds suddenly dropped and I couldn't figure out why. I was getting ready to have a tech come over take a look but before then I decided to separate the modem and router to a different outlet and sure enough speeds spiked. I had these plugged into a multiple outlet bar along with my soundbar and TV. Modem and Router weren't getting enough power plugged in with everything else.

Based on the other reviews here, I really was expecting to be blown away by this router. People here made it seem like the signal would go through 24 inch thick lead walls. Well, I have the router in a room, and directly beneath it, about 12 feet away is my Xbox One. The only thing between the two is a standard sheetrock ceiling / floor. My signal at that spot is Fair to Good. So... yeah. Also, the signal is not very strong just 23 feet from the router simply because I walk down 5 stairs and close my inside door which is just a hollow door. So, not sure if I am doing something wrong here. AX is on, I point the antennae every which way, no difference.

Very happy with this router overall, and even happier that I can use my old router with ASUS's AiMesh to extend my wifi into my garage using the same network credentials. It all works seamlessly, and the speeds are great.

Got this modem to go with new AT&T fiber, am now getting consistent 600 Mbps download speeds. Works like a charm and the LEDs add a fun little personalization touch.

This is an amazing little router. I have always been an ASUS fan and my last router was awesome and this one is even better. Super easy setup and so customizable..it makes it seem like my connection is faster than it is.

I bought this to replace a Netgear Nighthawk AX8 that was buggy. It was very easy to setup and I get descent coverage (not as much as the netgear). But it easily covers my 1,700 sq. ft. house. It just works.

This wireless router was a pleasant surprise as I used it in a small law firm office to replace an old wireless router which was weak with many dead spots. Used two in a mesh setup, they work perfectly together with no more dead spots !

Honestly, I've had dozens of routers over the past 10 years, I have a problem lol. I really like Netgear because they offer Bitdefender, and its easy to manage a bunch of them remotely for family. But for myself... I always come back to Asus, and this guy just makes me fall in love all over. I can't seem to make it angry, and trust me... I'm hard on networks being in Enterprise IT, and on off time streaming thousands of TV/Movies and hundreds of video games. I put these through the gauntlet downloading terabytes of data till they crash... and ASUS seldom ever do. If you are a gamer, this guy will be all you need for years.

It’s been great so far, I had problems with my old router. I game a lot and it’s been great on that and easy to configure. I attached a external hard drive to the USB port and been streaming movies off it at home.

Excellent router, i have all my gaming consoles connected to the router directly, and a couple others through Wi-Fi, not a single issue since I've installed it, i use it every day.

Best router I have purchased yet. The management software is amazing and the connection is reliable and has a high data yield. I also love the gaming optimization porr for those that want a dirext ethernet connection.

This router is great on wireless or wires works great in my office, the ASUS - RT-AX82U AX5400 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router - Black, was great for the network and the telephone system.

We love it!!! So far so good!!! We have over 30 wireless devices and with out 1Gbps high speed Internet never once experienced lagging.

Upgraded to Wi-Fi 6 and signal strength in my house and it works better than my older router and is much faster. Like all the available controls, guest network , etc. Great for the price would definitely buy again!

It seems nice okay, but it's very hard to set it up.

ASUS RT-AX82U is an excellent router. It is fast and Wifi extends further than my old one. It was easy to setup and has latest security options. Would highly recommend this router.

Easy to install, improved performance over my existing 5year old ASUS router, didn’t have to reinstall any apps or change any hardware config, a seamless upgrade. Amazing!
