Awesome router. I am a life long ASUS fan. Excellent UI. Mobile app works fantastic for full router control. I have hd no issues in a 3 story small duplex. WiFi is everywhere we need it. I did run an aimesh unit to the basement it is a RT-AC68P just for my office servers (3) and work laptop and personal laptop and multiple tablets and Roku, absolutely no issues. fast fast fast.. AImesh was very simple and works great. Highly recommended.

Great Router., always feel better when buying routers made by ASUS, they do an excellent job in this area. Was able to bridge another old Asus router to it to extend the range in a bedroom in the back corner of the house away from the main router but that computer still can pick up this router the primary. Good value compared to the more expensive versions of these pieces of equipment.

This router has it all! ASUS hits another homerun with this router...for the cost it's a no brainer!

Fantastic Router. I am using it as an edge router to a ROG AX-11000 and it was so easy to enable AIMesh. Flawless operations from a wifi perspective. I am also using a ethernet 1gbit cable for the backhaul and that works great as well. After you enable the AIMesh, simply attach the cable from the LAN on the master to the WAN on the AX5400 and it automatically understands that it's a backhaul port. Love it.

Powerful and looks cool. Asus has never let me down especially with CS ill continue to choose asus products.

I put 2 of these into an aimesh with ethernet backbone and couldn't be happier with my wifi connections now. I had Netgear R8000 and R7000 in Router/Access Point configuration but the Asus has blown them away so far with almost full connections and max speeds from the basement to the second floor! Impressed with the firware also except there is not a good app for Windows.

Not just the looks, even the functionality is a overkill! I am loving this router. I could get this up and running in less than 10 mins. I set up a private cloud and connected my HDD. Now, I can access my files no matter where I travel. I no longer use public clouds (like dropbox, google drive, etc) since I'm very obnoxious about securing my private files. The speeds are pretty good and comes with 3 core processor. I highly recommend it!

This router has been great. The app makes network adjustments a breeze.

Worked great for about a year and a half, then the random packet loss started causing stutters. Updated firmware, rebooted, trouble shot ONT, and reset router but nothing has solved it. Great speeds and coverage area but may have to replace it due to connection up’s before 2 years. It’s not repeatable enough to prove an issue on a warranty claim.

Overall great product. Highly recommend to anyone looking for fast speeds with low lag.

It's a real mixed bag. On one hand, setting it up was like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube blindfolded, and the signal strength is weaker than my will to resist a bag of chips. But on the other hand, when it actually works, it's like riding a unicorn through a rainbow. So, if you're up for a challenge and don't mind some hiccups along the way, give it a shot. Otherwise, maybe look elsewhere, my friends!
