It has a lot of neat features and has all of the important specs that you would need. I have Google Fiber and am able to use this router via having the Fiber jack connected directly into it. I think that dropping $300-500 on a single router is overkill (better off just getting a mesh network). Fortunately this router is reasonably priced and can be used to form a mesh network.

I think this is one of the coolest routers aesthetically out there. It wasn't what I ended up keeping, due to my use patterns, but 10/10 in the appearance category. I wound up going with it's sister router the ax86u for range purposes, as it seems to provide an uptick vs this one. For a gamer however, Asus really hit a home run with this guy.

My kids are gamers, I use multiple devices at a time, and have smart home devices. As always Asus did not disappoint. Easy to install and noticed a difference immediately in speed and signal. I love their app to monitor and control many features. It was well worth it.

Was solid. Worked perfect. Then it up and died out of the blue. Burnt out, no power to it at all. There was no reason for this. No electrical fluctuations, no thunder storm, just randomly died.

I got about a year and a half out if it before the radio chips burned out. This is the second Asus product I have purchased that did not make it to two years. I purchased a laptop and the hard drive failed a year and a half after purchase. DONE with junk Asus products. I would absolutely not recommend Asus products to anyone.
