I had intended on purchasing the RT-AX86U AX5700 Asus router but at the time BestBuy was out of it and I was in dire need of a new router since I had had enough of my older Netgear R7000 router bottlenecking my connection. This being the slightly smaller (in performance) version of the AX5700 and being in stock I bought it. Wish I had bought it sooner. After setting it up I immediately started seeing the speeds I had been paying for. Absolutely love the Asus app for the router. It is responsive and quick, unlike the laggy and slow log-in on my previous router. I have not done any testing in regards to the wireless aspect of it but I have not had an single issue with connectivity when I am gaming and I have 9 devices connected continuously. It has been money well spent.

I use this to extend wifi to a 2nd house, I have a cat 5 cable going from one house to the other and plugged it into the router and it's been even better than expected eliminating all dead spots for gaming, no lag extremely fast !!

I bought 2 of these to set up a mesh network using an ethernet connection. To do that requires the node router to be reset, which seems odd, but that is how it works. I tried the wireless smart connect, but I ran into trouble trying to connect various devices like my weather station; so went back to separate 2 and 5 Ghz. The roku did not see the 5Ghz channel since the control channel the router picked and what not what the roku was looking for. I did not bother to change the 5G for the roku. The samsung phones connected fine. The router has a lot of settings. It is a good feature that Asus provides a DNS server connection to for remote connection to security cameras. Some of the network analysis tools required sending router data to Trand Micro; I did not enable that.

Excellent WiFi, I have 400mbps at home, connecting directly thru hardwire from my provider I get only 250 - 400mbps, using WiFi or hardwire connections thru this router I end up getting 415 to 454 mbps... verygood off router, no complain so far

I have only owned this router for a month, and now the signal doesn't reach further than immediately in front of the router. Warranty process is terrible in that if they can'tf fix it over the phone, they escalate you to the next stage and won't call you for 2 business days. My partner and I work from home and will now be without internet for at least two days because they could care less. Buy a different brans. Most other brands replace their products with no questions.

Our internet connection sporadically dropped throughout the day and we thought it was our ISP. After replacing our router with this Asus one we've had no further issues with connection loss and our speeds are much faster.

This router is one of the best right out of the box, I bought one for my house, then my parents was having freezing video with a net gear. Bought them this and it fixed their issues. Even though it says gaming router, it will work for anyone!

Wanted up upgrade from 4 yo router. This one is great. Coverage is excellent 30 ft from router no issues. Wireless speed is where it's at! Before I got 50mbps, now I get the full 250 I pay for!

Great router! I had the Fios issued one, didn’t work with 1G internet, but this one does! Great speed and reliability! Can change the color on the display or have none at all. Easily connects to Mesh. Incredible wifi strength.

Bought this thinking it was going to be like my nighthawk that I had which worked for like a week and than stopped working but honestly it’s been a month and couldn’t be happier

Excellent range, was a big improvement over ISP cylinder router. ASUS gui has lots of features, even the app can control most of it without have to log in from computer. Kids Love the colors.

It literally got the full speed of my wifi out of it. I was using netgear before this and it was garbage. Had me thinking it was my provider messing up my internet… it was their garbage router

Hands down this is the BEST router I have ever used. I’m a serious gamer and I hate lag. I have not had one incident since purchasing this monster. 11/10 would recommend.

Ive had this router for a couple months now. So far it's obviously very much out performed my old Netgear Router. Love the features it comes with and the triband connection!

I did not plan to buy this router. Now i am glad i did. This router is a big improvement over what i had. It works much better than I expected. It looks well designed and is a decent piece of eye candy. I am very pleased!

Works really great. I have many items connected to it and they all work great. Love the LED future too. Super easy to set up and have a great app that goes along with it.

Finally no wifi issues! We’re using this to extend our wifi signal from the downstairs router and it works perfectly. No more low signal issues and dropping connection. The lighting is a nice touch too, my gamer fiancé likes it

I was a little skeptical that this could meet our streaming needs but we haven’t had any issues! We have multiple Ring devices, IQ, 3 gaming consoles and computer with 3400sq ft to cover. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Only bought it for the gaming mode, brought better ping

After quite a bit of research i decided this router met my needs and was the best value for the product. So far its meeting my expectations. I have a lot pf devices hooked up and ive been seeing excellent speeds.
