I was having a real issue with watching Prime and Netflix shows, timing out and just not playing. This was with the internet provider's router. So i tried my old router and while it was flaky I did not have the timeout issue. I just replaced the provider's router with this one and so far it's been fantastic. I play wow and everquest from time to time and it's been rock solid. Also no time out issues at all on Prime or Netflix

It worked until it didnt. My connection speed was great when it was connected. Then randomly it started disconnecting from the internet. At first I thought it was just temproary issues with. After a while it became apparent the issue was indefinite. There was no correcting it. When I went to the 1 star reviews of this item, it appeared everyone mentioned the same problem. Wow...welp..out of $200.

The range was worse than the old spectrum router I was going to replace it with. I had no signal. I connected the old internet router and presto I once again have internet. I should have have listen to the many bad reviews. I still gave it a chance but, I now regret the purchase. Will be returning this router tomorrow.

We do understand your disappointment with the product and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are unable to establish a connection. This router works with Spectrum internet services. To resolve this, check if the security credentials from Spectrum matches the router's configuration. Additionally, place it in a central location within your home, away from walls and obstructions, keep it elevated off the floor and away from electronic devices that may cause interference. If the router is running with an older firmware version, update it to the most current version posted at: https://www.asus.com/us/networking-iot-servers/wifi-routers/asus-gaming-routers/rt-ax82u/helpdesk_bios?model2Name=RT-AX82U . We have a ton of connected devices in our house from multiple cell phones, iPads, computers, video game consoles, Apple TV, etc and with the previous routers we tried we had constant disconnects or extremely slow connection speeds on the wireless. With this router we have all of our devices connected and have had absolutely no problems with any devices being kicked off or bogged down on the internet speed. I was very apprehensive, based on the price, but it was money well spent.
