Covers the entire house. Easy setup and the signal is awesome

This replaced an old ASUS RT-AC66U B1 which was first released way back in 2012. This router is a wifi 6 and boy what an upgrade. The old router would have problems in the farthest reaches of the house. 40 feet and two walls, one being concrete block. Range is no problem and I wished I would have switched sooner. Even though release date was about four years ago, this is still very good. The only thing missing is that ASUS seems to have stopped putting native VPN's in their routers.

Love my ASUS - RT-AX82U router! Recommended for use with my Greenlight fiber network and it works perfectly. Setup was simple and absolutely no issues. Love the ASUS iPhone app that gives the network status and what is connected. WiFi signal strength is so good I was able to move the router to the basement without issues.

As odd as it may seem, sometimes mesh systems are overkill. I know they are the latest and greatest, but when I downsized from my 3000 sqft, 2 story home to an 1800 sqft, single story, my Netgear Orbi began giving me tons of issues. Dropping connections constantly even though my hardwired PC showed no problems with my internet or ISP. Did some research and found that mesh can be overkill in small spaces because your devices are constantly swapping between the node and satellite which are in too close proximity in too small a space. I got this to replace it and am very glad I did. 10+ devices connected at all times, putting out higher than advertised speeds via WiFi. I have 100% coverage throughout the house and my front and back yards. Very powerful, looks great. Installation was the easiest I've done in years. Quite literally took less than 5 minutes from opening the box to having a fully functioning unique network. The app is perfect. No account creation required. No registration. Just download the app, plug it in, and go.

I purchased this router to replace a Nest Wifi mesh system in my house. I really liked the Google Nest WiFi but my son was having issues with ping spikes while playing first person shooter games on his Xbox Series X. My entire house is networked with Cat 6 cabling but because of only having one port on the Nest WiFi, I had to run everything through network switches. With this Asus RT-AX82U, I not only get three additional ports that I can send to other devices in my house, but port 1 on the back is a dedicated "Gaming Port" with automatic device priortization. It took a little bit of time to set this up the way that I wanted, but as of now it is working just the way that I need it. I separated my 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks so that I could put my smart home devices that are spread out around my house on the 2.4Ghz network and all of my mobile devices that move around and can take advantage of the faster speeds offered by this frequency on the 5Ghz network. After all of my devices were connected I went into the app and named all of the devices so that I know which ones are online and what data is being used by them. I also like that you are able to limit the bandwidth on every single device that is on the network. This is a good idea if you are looking to maximize the amount of bandwidth that your streaming devices use while limiting speed to less important things like thermostats and smart plugs. I am looking forward to purchasing another router or two in the summer and setting up a mesh network using the aimesh system so that I can extend my covered out into my pole barn. I am quite confident that this will work well as all of the Asus products that I have used have never let me down.

Perfect upgrade for a whole house wifi. The wifi has a stronger signal that covers my three story house without extenders. Excellent purchase.

I love this router, it is fast and reliable. I have it in an aimesh as well. There are no complaints in my house about the internet speed or dropped connections. My Children and myself are gamers!!!! Tip: when adding another router for aimesh, install new router, then factory reset it, install router again and then update firmware and then add to aimesh in app.

Purchased this to replace an old Asus router that was failing. Very similar user interface to the one I had, quick and easy to set up. Significantly better range than my old one - was able to remove a repeater I had been using for years. So far zero issues - highly recommend!

This is by far the best router I have used to date. The range is more than adequate and the signal strength reaches beyond my house and yard. If you know what you are doing, there are tons of options to customize your network through the router settings. You can even link more than one of these together to make an even bigger network with a massive range.

This router is great. I don't game but needed something dependable, this is my 2nd Asus router and it has great coverage, it almost installed itself. It recovered quickly after a service interruption. I am +60 and i highly recommend this unit for ease of installation. Thanks to the in store staff at the Reno BBY for recommending it. Stay far away from the Nighthawks, their quality is gone.

This router is at a summer house. I have never failed to connect to my security cameras which I was able to do previously. First test for coverage was a little disappointing. Based on reviews and specs I had hoped to eliminate the use of a wifi extender to reach a boat dock but the first test failed. I will test again when we return this spring but expect to need the extender. This router is being used with newly deployed internet service. Neighbors have had issues with nighthawk routers. This Asus has been flawless.

Fast and easy to use. App is very easy to download and has everything you need to control your Router . RGB light on the front is just enough as not to be overly intrusive. This router was a big upgrade from what I had and works well with spectrum internet services .

Upgraded from an old ASUS Wi-Fi router and I can already see the difference in speed of my internet. This Wi-Fi router is a beast! I have 9 different people connected to the router for long hours and it is still doesn’t slow down in performance when I’m streaming 4K videos and playing games.

I updated my old router since I was not able to fully utilize my ISP speeds. I figured trying to replace the router before the modem would suffice. To my surprise it did and now I’m able to fully utilize my speeds and the range is great for rooms I used to have trouble with. For a fair price it is worth the upgrade.

When I woke up one morning and discovered my router had died naturally I started looking for a new one. After doing some research I settled on this ASUS Router. The set-up was easy and straight forward. The range is great and works throughout my house. Much better all round than my old one. Very happy with this purchase.

Been using this router for almost a year and I've never had a problem with it. I don't use most of the gaming features. They are nice, but they aren't necessary. Also gives me a strong signal all over the house (1500 sq ft, give or take). Handles all 15 devices I keep on my WiFi and runs 1gbps internet great.
