Excellent Powerhouse
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the large screen on this laptop. I didn't feel the need to ever have an external monitor. Battery life is excellent. didn't seem to struggle with CS GO, LOL, WOW, Battlefield 1, or anything else I could throw at it.

Great Mid Range Gaming Laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The need for power of a gaming laptop is based on the types of games you play. If you are a Ultra High graphics junky then this laptop may not meet the needs. However, for most gamers and many of the popular games, this laptop will meet the needs. While an i7 processor would have been nice, the current generation i5 in this machine holds its own against previous generations of i7. Also, the graphics card is very good. Another nice bonus is the ease to upgrade more RAM, add an NVME drive and/or a standard SSD. Upgrading isn't dead! The screen is large and very clean. Highly recommend!

Posted .Dear Valued Customer,
We're sorry to hear about the unfortunate experience you're having with your unit running slow. There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up. We would recommend that you check for and install updates.

A great starter gaming laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve own several high end gaming laptops and I gotta say this one is no slouch it’s great and has enough power to run most games mid/high now the down side is the vram in the 3050 ti, it’s way too low and bottlenecks itself and I would suggest getting another ram stick too because 8 gigs doesn’t cut it for gaming now a days other then that the 6 core i5 processor is really good and it has expandable storage for an nvme which is awesome and the ssd in it already is supper fast!!

Great value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great with Ubuntu 21.1, not earlier versions. The only other distros I tried were the latest Mint and the LTS Ubuntu. I changed keyboard settings (stopped the changing color) in Windows and it carried over to Linux. Initially battery life was less than 1 hour, but a couple of charge/drain cycles brought it to a couple of hours+. The only negative is the screen isn’t as bright as I would like sometimes. It’s hard to see outside when my Mac shows up fine.

Bought it for light gaming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this thing for light gaming and I’m surprised at how well the 4GB of VRAM Holds up, especially with medium to high settings pushing 60 frames or more. The build quality is nice along with some decent cooking for a laptop.

Well-Rounded Laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A nice well-rounded computer. It was everything that I had hoped for to replace my old laptop. Games that would run poorly/not at all on my past one ran stably on the TUF.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace my 9 years old Asus ROG laptop. Setup was straight forward. Immediately ran some benchmark tests and was severally disappointed in the GPU performance. It is absolutely garbage. But wasn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet so I went ahead and threw in some new Corsair 16g sticks. Went back in to rerun the benchmarks and it blue screened on me. So I pulled the memory and I’m taking everything back tomorrow.

Posted .Dear Hoss1059,
We do understand your disappointment with the GPU performance results from the benchmarking utility software.
Certainly, the laptop was designed as a performance computer.
To get a good GPU performance test results, please verify if the laptop is running with the most current OS update and no processes or services, like Windows update or virus scan are running in the background since this will greatly affect the performance of the video controller. Also, verify if the benchmarking software is running with the most current version that is compatible with WIndows 10.

Worst customer service experience ever!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I could give it 0 stars I would. In less than a month, my computer had a dead line of pixels across the screen and networking issues. Going though ASUS customer support in order to get a replacement was impossible. They only agreed to fix it. A BRAND NEW DEVICE. After finally receiving my computer back, They had wiped the computer but FAILED to reinstall the core software that it came with. I could not use any asus apps like ROG live service or even install the armoury crate. I also could not download any windows apps through the store. ASUS customer service was again useless here. I now have a computer that only half works "NEW" and cannot be returned. Worst customer service ever. For a company that is in such high regard amongst youtubers, it seems that great service does not translate to the average joe. DO NOT BUY FROM ASUS. Go with MSI or Gigabyte instead.
