My initial thoughts of the Asus Tuf Gaming laptop when opening up the box was this laptop has a nice build quality to it though it is a mid -entry level gaming laptop. The 17.3 inch matte screen at 144Hz is a nice touch, much bigger and faster than my previous laptop. Booting up the laptop is fairly quick. It has your standard I/O ports you would expect. Comes with 8GB of Ram and has a 512GB SSD which of course you can upgrade. When doing regular tasks like surfing the web or streaming fan noises are hardly noticeable and laptop stays cool. When doing more intensive tasks a little heat is noticeable which is common among gaming laptops. I mainly play Apex, Fortnite and Warzone all at mediums settings without any issues and it is still an enjoyable experience. I find the keyboard to my liking when gaming or just general typing no complaints here. I have not tested battery life on its own yet as I always have the laptop plugged in. I would recommend the ASUS TUF gaming laptop if you are looking for a solid entry-mid level gaming laptop that wont break the bank with decent all around specs with a great build quality.

Not very high end. but after upgrading the ram to 16gb and replaced the 500gb nvme with two SK hynix 1tb nvme this isn't bad. I could of waited and waited for pc components to go down in price or stocked. All well this machine is well maintained and upgraded for an easy sellable product in the future.

Worked great right out of the box! It opened large CAD files in less than a minute that would take my old laptop hours! The display is large and vivid enough for my purposes and and videos seem quite clear. I don't really use it for gaming. I use house power so I can't say much about the battery.

Nice hardware package for the price. Nice crisp screen. Solid upgrade from a 5+ year old Dell. Fairly simple to add RAM and M.2 SSD. Totally silent under normal use (video streaming, web surfing) and still pretty quiet with the fans on while gaming. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

I never had a gaming laptop before so this is all new to me . playing it until I figure out the screen was not 17 inch like it said it was. I measured it was barely 16 inch. Not sure if it’s the wrong information on the Inventory or what but over all I like it. it’s fast and kinda cheap.

great for gaming, i wouldnt want it on my lap 12 hours a day but it is a gaming machine after all. nephew appreciated the ability to play games and stream and have browsers all open at the same time. I put in an extra 8 gigs of ram for him and recommend you do this.

Got this beast on sale during labor day. The first unit i picked up had a defective keyboard whereas all of the RGB wasn't cycling. Asus would want to troubleshoot it but bestbuy just let me exchange it. Other than that it's great for work, browsing, and light gaming.

Other than the battery life of this laptop while gaming on the go, this laptop is hands down one of the best I’ve owned so far. Games look awesome on its display.

Firstly, I'll mention this is a very sturdy, well made machine. Right out of the box, i had no qualms about the fragility of the components. Solid build. The finish is anti-fingerprint which a plus for me. Screen is bright and vibrant. Details pop and the 144hz is very smooth when in action. I initially thought 8GB Ram would be a major issue in today's gaming environment, but for the capabilities of the graphics card, I have seen no issues of slowdown in my gaming. I'm sure that also is attributed to the processor installed. Very quick and responsive. Keys are smooth and responsive and the internal RGB is a great touch for customization. The "wrist area is just the right length for me for on the go, and it stays cool to the touch allowing for extended comfort when a pad/keyboard isn't being used. The battery is what you'd expect. Gaming, I can squeak out, at max, 2 hours gameplay, and if I modify the settings, I can squeeze that out about 3 and some change. The good to that is I can get a full charge in less than an hour to keep it moving. For sound, the speakers are decent, but a bit disappointing in a rig of this size. While the spatial options with headphones are plentiful and great, it's still great to have a better set of speakers in a bind. Another "interesting" addition is the infamous Thunderbolt 4. While I understand the multifactor usage of such a port, I would have preferred a dedicated DP port instead of needing to purchase a separate adaptor and/or a pricey hub in order to use the data capabilities at the same time. In short, there is an HDMI port, but no dedicated DP. Not a big issue, just a bit of an inconvenience. Lastly, my last gripe is the choice not to include a Windows Me capable camera. I've gotten used to being able to log-in without manual input. Here, it's not an option. But, I will say, the camera is pretty clean. Besides the minor shortcomings listed, this is a great gaming system. You may not be able to max out everything, but with the cool tips and tricks Nvidia had come up with paired with the responsiveness of the processor, etc. you'll still get a big budget feel.

On the most part its pretty good. It does glitch sometimes but its partly linked to apps. My manage issue is the battery, it dies quickly. Especially if I am on Zoom. I'd say if on zoom it lasts an hour. Otherwise maybe roughly 5 hours.

Fantastic gaming laptop. Most games run on full settings at 4k. The RAM on the graphics card is just a bit too shy to mine ethereum. You'll also want to add more RAM as 8GB tends to get filled up pretty quick these days

Love this laptop. I upgraded the ram to 32gigs and added a second ssd when I bought it. I got it on sale and it was well worth it. Runs quiet and cool. I do wish I would have got a 3070 or 3060ti card as the 50ti is kind of weak.

Amazing performance for the price I paid. My son is using most during travel and he is very happy for his gaming needs. In order to have HIGH PERFORMANCE, the AC Adapter MUST be CONNECTED at all time.

Pros: 17" screen supporting 144Hz Adaptive Sync Nvidia RTX 3050Ti (4GB VRAM) provides Ray Tracing and Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) to video games that require it WiFi 6 Thunderbolt 4 (future proofing) Built-in Ethernet Port Keyboard keys are full size and responsive to type on, includes number pad, and the rainbow LED backlight is cool TPM 2.0 (so Windows 11 should be supported) Cons: Struggles to play 4K video when streamed over Wifi. Battery lasts 53 minutes if gaming Propritary Power Adapter (why not USB-C) Ethernet Port limited to 1GB (why not 2.5GB/5GB/10GB) The number pad on the keyboard is using smaller keys then the main keyboard making it feel cramped and leading to typos for people like me with large fingers The chemical coating/material finish of the casing and the trackpad look great - until you touch them. They show every fingerprint. After only a day of use the trackpad looks terrible. Have a soft-cloth available for frequent cleaning. Can it Play Fortnite? Fornite took 57.05 seconds to launch and the highest setting I could use to actually enjoy playing the game is Quality Presets of "High" with 60FPS and 3D Resolution at 66%. DLSS could be enabled at the Quality Level. Anything higher and the experience suffered.

This is a very good entry-level gaming laptop. However, I don't know if this is more of my problem, but whenever it's unplugged, it's very slow and sometimes gives lag compared to being plugged in.
