Bought it to last me all through college so a decent workload and zoom done through it regularly without skipping a beat. Only complaint is if your not super tech savy or great with laptops some functions and things it just does on its own can be quite confusing and complcated to figure out and fix. My biggest grip, It keeps turning the sound off somehow and i have to go into settings and play with the volume bar to get it going again.

For ~$150, you make this into a really good performing gaming laptop. One warning, if you want to use the GPU, it needs to be plugged in and in performance mode. Otherwise you will see low fps on 1080p in older games. You do those two things, and BAM, you get to make use of that 144Hz screen (which is very helpful if you have only played on 60Hz prior).

For instance, the keyboard overheats to extreme levels (it's even too hot to touch) for a simple task such as using Word, I can't imagine how bad it would get when involved in more extreme task such as gaming. The keyboard and the area above the keyboard heats up to extreme level even when the computer is in sleep mode which is very odd. When using a mouse, your hand will burn (it is unbearable) because of the heat exhaust coming out of the ports which are right next to the area where your hand is positioned when using a mouse if you are right handed. No laptop should heat up so much when in sleep mode or when doing a simple task such as using Word. I also experienced lots of glitching in the screen, colored lines showing up on my screen, and also a warning that my device ran into a problem and had to be restarted. These are serious performance, quality and reliability issues that make this laptop an extremely risky purchase and would not recommend to anyone.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback on this model. We're sorry to hear about the unfortunate experience you're having with the performance issue of this model. There's a possibility that there are background apps and Windows updates causing the unit to perform as it does. What we've observed with the Windows 10 operating system is that once the unit is not being used all background and installed apps including Windows updates will fire up and check for and install updates. This will cause the unit to run a bit hotter than normal and in turn ramp up the fan speed. We would recommend that the user check for and install all updates for all installed applications. Also check for Windows updates and make sure they're installed. If the issue persist, we would recommend that you have this model sent in for servicing so we can have our technicians diagnose the issue and provide a solution.
