After a few hours of troubleshooting the conclusion was a bad board. Exchanged it and the new board updated on the first try. Aside from that experience I’m quite happy with it.

I had to RMA my original 4900X due to failure to AMD because of this (AMD replaced without any issue). Make sure to flash the BIOS to the latest version before installing the CPU and RAM via the flashback feature. A nice feature is PCI 5 for m.2 so you can upgrade to faster drives when they become available. Would give 5 stars if it were not for the hastle of replacing CPU.

This mobk would be ok. I had trouble keeping system stable on a undervolt at -20 using curve optimizer. Bought another mobo an Asus x670e crosshair hero. Im stable with -35 all cores. Not sure if the vrms has to do with a stable undervolt but ive been stable with my new mobo for 2 months without any problems

The features are great. Configuring NVME RAID is a pain but that may be more AMD's fault than. ASUS Wifi works great and my bluetooth earbuds get a good connection. CPU idles at 45c but that might be due to the less than stellar job I did with the thermal paste. Even under stress tests it never gets above 75c.

Only thing I had an issue with was the amount of USB Ports. Other than that, this is amazing!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this motherboard and immediately noticed that I could not expand ANY ram using slots B1 nor B2. Only slots A1 and A2 worked, and the required config is A2 and B2 slots first when only using two RAM slots. Google this issue with this board and you will see several chats regarding this, along with BS BIOS flashbacks to "fix" the problems. Sent in the motherboard for an RMA since the RAM expansion to 32G did not work at all; supported RAM off the list, supported CPU. Was sent a photo back from ASUS (see attached) along with a bill for $270 in repairs for the plastic tab that snapped off the GPU slot. A plastic tab, on a motherboard that did not work at the RAM and bus level. $270. They have me over a barrel so it's either pay this or go and find another board. Avoid this motherboard. Unacceptable, ASUS.

Initially I was concerned that I was not super stable. Initially it was a toad with lots of crashes. After the first few weeks and a few driver updates and bios updates all the issues went away. I'm assuming that was just the pain of being an early adopter. Once I got past that its been great. I don't overclock, its fast enough as is. Asus has been great on Bios support.

It does say Wi-Fi on the card however it comes with an external antenna that you will need in order to use it however it shouldn't be a problem if you are hardwiring
