Terrible

It works sometimes, but then stops working. Windows keeps trying to install the drivers which messes it up. If I uninstall them it works temporarily. If I connect headphones, then a game controller. The headphones mess up. The drivers from the Asus website are terrible. Even worse. Skipping audio with ear piercing pops. Yes, I tried turning off handsfree telephony. Yes, I tried uninstalling the drivers. Yes, I tried rebooting, reinstalling all drivers multiple times. I'm a technical person and I know what I'm doing. I've tried all of the options and it just doesn't work. Tried contacting support and it takes them a day just to ask for something else. No help yet so I'll be returning this.

All ASUS products undergo intensive quality control testing and inspections. Assuming the computer fully support the device, it is running with the most current OS update and chipset driver, this is a random problem. Normally, ASUS provides one year warranty coverage, if product was purchased brand-new, in order to fix or repair any hardware or part that stop working prematurely under normal usage.

Worked intermittently

I followed the directions on the manual for set up, installed drivers, then used. My headset worked for game voice chat and calling. Midway through a call, it fell off my headset and continued on my laptop. Unfortunately, because I LOVE ASUS products, I will be returning this product.

I downloaded the newest drivers on the asus website and tested on multiple ds4 controllers and the same issues.

It seems to work all right, but when linked to headphones it has some dropouts or clicks from head movements at times. I would guess it has something to do with antenna alignment (?)

BT 5.0 but buggy driver

Can't stay enabled much of the time, and even when it DOES decide to work, it cuts out if I walk 10 feet away from the computer. Have tried this on the USB3 ports, the USB2 ports, unreliable regardless of what I try.

We do understand your disappointment and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing unreliable connection using this USB Bluetooth adapter. To resolve this, ensure your PC is compatible with this adapter and your Bluetooth device is working properly. Additionally, if your PC is compatible, ensure Windows and the chipset driver for your PC are up to date. Since this adapter has a range of 33 feet, a device that is 10 feet away should not have a connection issue unless the Bluetooth device is not working properly, or wireless devices close to your PC is causing RF noise or wireless interference.
