Dead in only 8 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this computer from bestbuy and it performed well for approximately eight months before it suddenly stopped working. The system now displays a red power button light that flashes twice every few seconds and will not boot. After troubleshooting, I confirmed that the power supply, memory, and hard drive are all functioning properly, which points to a likely motherboard failure. Unfortunately, my experience with customer support was extremely frustrating and difficult. No help! Given that the system failed in less than a year, I am very disappointed in both the product’s reliability and the support process. Based on this experience, I would never purchase another ASUS computer in the future period!

Has not worked right since I got it!

When it's restarted, it loses connection with my peripherals, which means having to restart again and again until things like speakers are identified. When left idle too long it goes to sleep, which isn't an issue. However, when it wakes up again, not one program works correctly until it's shut down completely and turned on again. Not worth the money and definitely not worth the time.

Not intuitive

Best Buy did not do a good job transferring data from the old computer and we can't do simple resets of defaults. We will try Geek squad to do things that were easy on HP.

Ill never shop with bestbuy again

Fedex placed at the wrong place and Bestbuy said they were replacing it then waited over a week to tell me nevermind its your problem. Ill never shop with bestbuy again

We do understand your disappointment with the laptop and the inconvenience this may have caused if you are experiencing system crash from the get-go. Since Windows 11 releases periodic updates, installing updates is required to resolve the system crash. Once the initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation are completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping the laptop updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. Additionally, while accessing web applications, ensure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will definitely affect system speed and performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application. If this is not pre-installed on the laptop, please download the application at the Microsoft Store. For details on how to use "My ASUS", please go to: https://www.asus.com/support/FAQ/1041686/.

ASUS V500 Desktop Computer
