This ASUS Vivobook 14 14” FHD Laptop with Intel Core i5 processor, 12GB Memory, and a 256GB SSD in Quiet Blue is a good choice for home or college use. It has a lot of customizable features via the ASUS software. Setup time was only time consuming due to all of the updates. Once they were installed, it went smooth and fast. Best uses for this laptop: The best uses for this laptop are what many do most with a laptop. Browse the Internet, watch movies and videos, listen to music, productivity apps like word processing, spreadsheets, simple presentations, email, calendar and scheduling apps, journaling apps, and editing photographs. The amount of space on the SSD is 256GB, so you have some space to store documents and photos, but not a massive amount. Performance: The laptop performed well using installed productivity software and web based applications. I had no issues watching movies and videos. There was no lag or delays at all. Web browsing went smoothly and there were no hiccups. I opened multiple tabs to see if there would be issues, and there wasn’t. I was able to navigate through pages and pages of content seamlessly. Battery life: Battery life all depends on what you are doing. A fully charged battery lasted me almost 7.5 hours while watching movies, videos and browsing the internet. That’s pretty good. It also charges pretty fast too in less than and hour and a half. Screen resolution: The 14” screen is FHD, and is bright and colorful. It can be adjusted in settings. Speakers/Sound: The speakers sound pretty good for a small laptop. I could clearly hear the movie, videos and music. The touchpad/numberpad: This is different for me, and at first I liked it, but then I didn’t. It’s kind of awkward having the numberpad on the touchpad. I couldn’t get used to it. This is a personal preference, but it’s just out of place for me. To sum it all up, this is a good laptop for someone at home or school that does everyday tasks on the computer. It can handle light gaming, but not heavy gaming. It can handle multitasking and your productivity apps. It’s a good little laptop.

    Slow, but functional

This laptop is small, fairly light and functional. You can get the majority of basic tasks done with it. It runs Windows 11, so you have all the familiarity of other computers you may have been used to. With a click of the corner of the mousepad, you have a number pad available, although it is a little odd to get used to. Other than having something light you can check the internet with or do some basic productivity type it doesn’t have much more going for it. With that said, this has been one of the slowest laptops I have used in a good while. First off, it asks to connect to WiFi before you even get into Windows and you can only connect to 2.4Ghz. Then it took forever to run some updates, which essentially felt like it was trying to download the entire operating system. Then, once you finally get to the Windows details, you have to go through getting all of the updates for that as well. So, expect to spend the first couple hours of getting this laptop just to get it updated, despite having faster WiFi and internet available, the system just runs slow. I know this is a budget laptop, but it feels like there could be a few things that would really help, like having a backlit keyboard. They show the feature of a “lay flat” display, but the screen is not a touch screen, so it doesn't even feel like it should go that far. The power adapter is an old style tip and I have no idea why it’s not a USB PD connection at this point in time. Again, I know I don’t expect much but the screen on this has a very small sweet spot. Anything off center the slightest and it is either too dark or too bright to read anything. Overall, if you just need the barebones small, light laptop, this isn’t all that bad. However, I feel like there are better options out there. This one feels like it is lacking some common featured and too slow.

    Amazing

I’ve been using this laptop for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed with how well it balances performance and build quality. The design feels premium without being flashy—light enough to carry around all day but still sturdy. The keyboard has a satisfying feel (not too mushy, not too clicky), and the trackpad is smooth and responsive. Performance-wise, it’s a beast for multitasking. I usually have dozens of Chrome tabs open, a couple of big spreadsheets, and Photoshop running, and it doesn’t break a sweat. Fans kick in under heavy load, but they’re not obnoxiously loud. The screen is sharp, bright, and color-accurate, which makes both work and streaming look great. Battery life is another strong point. I consistently get 7–8 hours with regular use, which covers a full workday if I’m not pushing it too hard. Charging is quick too—I can go from almost dead to over 50% in less than an hour. If I had to nitpick, I’d say the speakers are just “okay”—they get the job done but don’t have much bass. Also, the ports could’ve been placed a little better, since some cables stick out awkwardly. Overall, though, this laptop checks all the boxes: fast, reliable, and well-built. Definitely worth the price if you want something that can handle both productivity and light gaming without compromise.

I am very pleased with this product! It performs smoothly, boots up fast, and handles all my daily tasks without slowing down. The picture quality is clear, the sound is crisp, and the overall design feels sturdy and well-made. Battery life lasts long enough for work, ministry, and browsing without constant charging. Setup was simple and user-friendly. For the price, the value is excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a reliable device for home, school, business, or ministry work.

The ASUS Vivobook 14 is a new laptop with some nice features and something new, that I have not seen before. As you can probably guess from the name, this is considered a 14" Laptop. The screen actually measures 13.8 inches diagonally, with a resolution of 1920x1080. There are 6 rows of keys, with the top row being the function and configuration keys. They are about half the depth of the rest of the keys. The keyboard has 80 keys in a fairly normal layout. One oddity is that the power button is located between the "Print Screen" and "Delete" buttons. I haven't found it to be a problem for me, but I could see people accidently hitting it. It does not have a numeric keyboard in the normal sense. Instead, they have placed a numeric keypad on the touchpad. Tapping the upper right corner of the touchpad turns it into a numeric keypad and turns on a light showing that it is in numeric keypad mode. Oddly, it still functions as a touchpad if you aren't in an entry field on the screen. Otherwise it types numbers when you don't want them. I have found that more often than not, I accidently turn on the keypad as my fingers move around the touchpad. I think it would be nice to have the on/off switch for the keypad located off of the touchpad itself. As far as the rest of the laptop is concerned, there is a sliding switch which is a physical camera cover to prevent someone from hacking into the camera and seeing anything that they shouldn't. The laptop has an AI Noise Cancelling Microphone built in, making it better for video chatting. It has been tested to meet military durability standards, to help prevent damage from daily handling and abuse that it might see. It has 12GB of Ram but only a 256GB SSD. It features a 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor and utilizes Intel UHD Graphics. It does not have a touch screen, but it is designed to be able to folded flat at 180 degrees. There are 1 USB-A 2.0 port, 2 USB-A 3.2 ports and 1 USB-C 3.2 port. There are also a headphone jack and HDMI Output port. It has Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth. I'm giving the laptop 4 stars but feel it's really should get 3.5 stars The screen is really bright, and darks don't show up well. Images look washed out. The keyboard is not backlit. It doesn't have a touch screen, and it only has 256GB of SSD. It's fine for someone looking for an entry level machine, but don't expect to do any gaming or having a1 ton of storage.

I'm no computer expert and I wasn't looking for anything amazing when I was searching for a computer to replace my old one. What I can say is that this laptop, while obviously no supercomputer, is versatile; it runs well, has a good amount of storage space for my needs, and hasn't given me any real problems. The battery life is pretty impressive and the sound is crystal clear. If you want a computer that suits the general needs you have of one, then I'd give this a look.

This is a very good $300 laptop, but not a very good $600 laptop. I assume that it's always or almost always discounted, and it works well for my needs, but the screen quality is not good - It has terrible viewing angles, especially vertically. However, the specs and performance are very solid for the sale price

This suits my needs well. It runs pretty fast (especially compared to my old one). I like that it has 3 usb ports. The big number pad on the touch pad is a nice feature, but actually disable the touch pad and use an actual mouse. The only thing that concerns me is that it is extremely hot. Even if it's closed and just charging, it's hot on the bottom. And there's a spot on the screen that is kind of blurry and I can't seem to get it clear. But other than that, this is great.

Overall good system. doesn't feel really robust but it is very slim and light. take it anywhere. enough memory and storage to do most work and business tasks. fine for watching videos and playing music as well. Win 11 home works well and snappy. there are times i accidentally turn on the numeric pad on the mouse pad and that interferes. only happens when I'm playing a game and it could be disabled. overall a good deal for the price - 319. probably wouldn't have paid more. excellent battery. sitting here with over 7 hours left.

5/5 stars. This Vivobook is light weight and the battery lasts hours longer than my old laptop on a single charge. It's definitely not built for gaming or any kind of high end production but that's not what you're getting at this price point and not what I was looking for. For basic web surfing, video meetings and chats a light work programs, this laptop is perfect.

This laptop from Asus is great for my daughter schoolwork. It is very light and easy to carry, but it is fast with i5 processor. She has no problem with speed for doing homework. It is not fast enough for serious gaming but great for her study.

I’ve been using this laptop every day and it has been a really good experience. It starts up quickly and everything runs smoothly, even when I have several programs open at the same time. The size is perfect for carrying around, and it’s light enough to take with me without any trouble. The keyboard feels comfortable to type on and the screen looks sharp and clear, which makes it nice for both work and watching videos. I also like that it stays pretty quiet, even when I’ve been on it for hours. Overall, it’s reliable, easy to use, and has made my daily tasks a lot simpler. Definitely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable laptop.

As a longtime Mac user who mostly uses a desktop Mac, I wanted to check out an inexpensive Windows laptop to keep my business records on. I have been pleasantly surprised my Windows Home 11. I have been going through the Linkedin Learning course on Windows 11 and have to admit I like Windows 11. The machine is reasonably fast. I like the trackpad option to use the trackpad as a keypad. Copilot works OK with typing, but cannot hold a conversation where I am now with an internet speed of 586 down/22 up. I tried it at home with 300 down/300 up and I could hold a conversation with Copilot. I am used to Chat GPT giving succinct answers on a Mac. Copilot gives an extensive long reply. I would say it this machine is worth the $349 I paid for it on sale.

Got this for my dad. Its nice, lightweight, and works well with everything he needs to do. The only downside is the mousepad area. Having thr numeric keypad there is quite annoying and was a challenge. So , I had to make an additional investment for a protable mouse.
