S mode is a one time in situation. Choosing to opt out will effect the way the laptop process task. You can only download apps from the Microsoft store. I have a old printer that still works and I can't use it because Microsoft doesn't offer a download for it. This is not kool at all.

Please note that switching out of Windows S Mode does not affect the way your laptop processes tasks. Once you opt out, your device will continue to function normally, while allowing you to install applications outside of the Microsoft Store. It's relatively fast and will handle all basic tasks with ease. The problem is the screen is horrible. The viewing angles are terrible. You have to view it from the perfect angle otherwise the colors and saturation are way off. I've connected it to a monitor so I now never have to see the screen. If you're planning to use the screen then consider other options.
