    I bought this Asus laptop 2 months ago, on Aug. 29th. It's already not working at all. I've only used it for school and need to access to it badly. Bestbuy won't do anything even though I'm still paying for it. I need Asus to replace it please!

    BATTERY WON'T STAY CHARGED LONG

    The laptop is very cute and I loved everything about it except.... THE BATTERY! The battery would not stay charged long and I work from home, so I will be returning this laptop. The battery holds less charge than my cell phone, and I do WAY MORE on my cell phone!

    Best bargain laptop when found at a sale price

    I saw this laptop at BestBuy during the Black Friday promo deal listed for $199 + tax. I did look at all the reviews that I could find online for this laptop family and ASUS which were positive for the most part. First ASUS experience for me. My other laptops are HP and Acer, all of which have been great. Microsoft shopping extension on Edge browser had a link to another online site with price of $165 total including shipping. I ordered it. Arrived new in box within 3 days. Funny, it was shipped from BestBuy. Laptop is very, very good for cost. I disabled the Windows "s" mode. I made some display adjustments in settings. Display is great for a non IPS panel with a pretty good viewing angle. Display is very bright such that I set it to 38 brightness for indoor use in a room with indirect but adequate pleasant lighting. Display would be viewable when set to higher brightness level even in a daylight outdoor area. I also enabled night mode at a low level to soften the background on the display. Contrast, image sharpness and color rendering are amazing for a non IPS display. Laptop is fast for startup and "surfing" even with multiple tabs open. I do not use it for gaming as this is not a gaming configuration, and I own another laptop that is built for gaming. I have not added RAM or upgraded the hard drive. Keyboard and trackpad are responsive with a good feel. No issues with number pad feature on trackpad which I do use and switched to "off" easily. Battery life has been good. Eleven to fourteen hours between having to charge with basically being on for the duration when charged to 80 percent capacity per setting on ASUS app to promote battery health and prevent degradation, perhaps the lower brightness setting contributes to less battery drain. Also, this laptop charges fast with a very compact sized charger which contributes to the portability of this lightweight unit when travelling. I use this laptop to make online bill payments, banking transactions, video streaming, online chats/meetings, reading news articles, checking weather, receiving/sending emails and creating documents. Wi-Fi connectivity has been seamless and no issues with wireless Canon printer. No problems at all after using it for about a month. Speakers could be louder as max volume is low. However, music sounds okay in a 13x25 ft family room. I think there is some kind of built in sound enhancement that compensates for the lower max volume level. Sound is adequate and pleasant. I do wish that ASUS would provide an option for a backlit keyboard in the next iteration at near the reasonable price. However, this laptop is still excellent for the purpose for which it was designed especially at the low cost when found on sale. I think there are better options out there at the full retail price of $430. The ASUS app on the laptop is very useful for many settings, system health checks and getting firmware updates as well as options for noise cancelling for microphone and camera capture width for video meetings and chat.

    When i turned the laptop on for the first time i couldnt complete setup bc there was no network adaptor installed on the pc. Which meant i had no wifi. Had to send back.

    Nice Upgradeable Laptop - Rare at this price

    This laptop is a STEAL for this price. Getting rid of S mode is easy. I cloned the 128 GB drive to a 1 TB M.2 drive I already had sitting around and it worked perfectly. I plan to upgrade the 8GB of memory (has one open slot). It's very sturdy and responsive. I highly recommend it at this price if you are looking for a bargain. Thanks Best Buy!
